Your source video file is probably muxed.
Neither QT Pro or iTunes has the ability to successfully encode a muxed video file with audio. You'll end up with video and no audio.
See: iPod plays video but not audio of some exported files.
You'll need to use some other third-party software to do the conversion. There's a handful of software available. Just search the forums and you'll find many titles mentioned.
Try MPEG Streamclip.

Thanks for the support but I had already tried this . Again did it as you advised. Still not able to connect the ipad mini with Bluetooth.

If the "it" refers to a compressed (zipped) spreadsheet that you downloaded, the ".ods" extension is used by LibreOffice and probably OpenOffice (which are free versions of MS Office) for spreadsheets, which would suggest that wherever you're getting that "Excel" file from has switched to one of those programs. I've tried opening an .ods file from LibreOffice using MS Office 2013 for Windows and it does open though with a warning that some things have been changed. I don't know if Office for Mac can normally open .ods files. But if your need is to just open .ods files, take a look at LibreOffice.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

If I've understood you correctly I've never known this or anything else to take that long? What were you trying to do exactly?

Am having problems with my Zeppelin music player and iPod classic. The Zeppelin, bought Dec '12, and the iPod, bought same time, used to work fine but now when I attach iPod to Zeppelin I get a message that says the iPod doesn't support the accesory!

I bought a Zeppelin music player and iPod classic in December 2012, and all went well until I last synched the iPod with iTunes, and now I get a message saying that the iPod doesn't recognise the attached accessory when I try to connect it to the Zeppelin. I did recently update to the latest iTunes version-could this be the problem, and if so how do I cure it? All help appreciated.

It's still charging when you plug it in. That just means it won't play music out the speaker. If that's what you were looking to do, they have speakers for iPods.

I recently bought a 13" Mac Book Pro i7 dual core processor and everything was just fine until now. I have been using iMovie for about a month and it runs perfectly, but now I can't seem to use it for more than 20 minutes without iMovie crashing. Help?

Ipad Wifi used to work well, but now only near the router.

I have my Ipad for 6 months now, and it worked very well until last wednesday. The wifi range dropped drastically. I used to have internet all over my house, but now it only works near my time capsule. The other products that I have are working fine without the range issue (1 Imac, 2 MacBooks, 1 Ipod Touch and a 3G Ipad). It didn't happen anything to it, it was working one day and then it stopped (the range fell). I think it's a problem with the antenna, because it doesn't recognize any other area net.
Did it happen to anyone else?
I already restored it and the i.o.s is the last one (3.2.2).

This sounds like an issue worth taking the iPad to an Apple Retail store and have the function checked to be sure there has not been a hardware failure.

Iphone 4 voice Dial used to work great, but now, I can't get it to recognize voice commands. When i give it a command to call someone, it ends up repeating someone elses name and starts the call. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I have an I phone 4 with 32g. The voice dial used to work just fine, but now it doesn't recognize the words and ends up saying someone elses name and starts calling the wrong person. It even won't recognize a number when spoken to it and speaks back and calls the wrong numbers.
Lately, the phone has really slowed down. I am not sure if this is the problem.. I have closed all the open apps and deleted any extra picture off the card and extra songs that I have downloaded and the slow problem still exists.
Would a reset work to restore the phone to factory settings and if I then resync the phone, would all contacts pictures and songs be restored?

What do you mean by "wasn't fine". We can't see your computer so you'll have to describe what your're experiencing in detail without the editorializing.

You do not have the properties in the Bookmarks Manager (Library), but you should have it if you right-click a bookmark the Bookmarks Toolbar or in the bookmarks sidebar.
On Mac you probably do not have it if you right-click an item in the Bookmarks menu (this menu is under control of the Mac OS), but I assume that this should work if you click the "Show your bookmarks" button on the Navigation Toolbar that is next to the star to bookmark the current tab and right-click an item in the bookmarks list that opens.

LR 5.7 "encountered an error when reading from its preview cache". Happened the other day, I went to a day old backup and continued working. But now it happened again. LR renamed the catalog "Lightroom 5_ANDERS-OFFICE8_Mar-15-230042-2015_Conflict".

I installed 5.7, ran ok for a while. Then it gave the error message that the preview cache was bad. A few times I have gotten this message and it restarts and repairs it. But now it couldn't. Renamed the Lightroom 5 catalog with the name "Lightroom 5_ANDERS-OFFICE8_Mar-15-230042-2015_Conflict". I got a backup and ran with that, and after a few days it happened again. It cannot repair and read the cache and shuts down.
What should I do? I can probably go to a backup again, but I keep losing work. I now backup every day.
But I need the system to be stable.
This is Windows 8.1. Lots of RAM and disk space.

The catalog isn't the problem, but rather that preview file. Use Windows Explorer or Finder (depending on your operating system) to browse to the folder that contains your catalog. Locate and delete the folder that has the extension .lrdata. Then you should be able to start Lightroom normally and it will begin generating a new cache file.
