I own Final Cut Pro 6 and have been running it on an older G4 tower. I upgraded to a MacPro tower and the app will not install. I get a message "Not supported on this computer" cannot believe this. Help anyone.

Here are the min. system requirements.... it looks like you meet them.... but I may have missed something...

I have been running Office 2004 on my Intel iMac with Snow Leopard for some time and all of a sudden I cannot save a document. Word just stopped responding and I have to force quit. So I check for a new Mac Security Update and sure enough there was one. I downloaded it and now Word seems to be working, as it should. I can both open and save files. The only problem remaining is that when I open Word I get the following error message “An unexpected error occurred while trying to load the Microsoft Framework library”. I contacted Apple but they were unable to help.
How can I get rid of this error message?

Look, I realize you might have to get your machine working, so this is how you revert back.
Restore proceedure to pre-Security Update 2012-001 v 1.0 & v 1.1
#1 Backup your personal data off the machine.
Backup files off the computer (not to TimeMachine). If you don't have a external drive, get one and connect to the USB/Firewire port and simply drag and drop copy your User folder to the external drive, it will copy all your files. It's best to have two backups of your data off the machine when trying to restore.
Disconnect all drives now to prevent any mistakes from occuring.
#2 Reinstall OS X 10.6 from disk
Get out your 10.6 install disk and make sure it's clean and polished (very soft cloth and a bit of rubbing alcohol, no scratches) If your disk is borked, you'll have to order a new one from Apple with your serial number.
Hold c boot off the 10.6 disk (wired keyboard, internal optical drive), use Disk Utility First Aid to >Repair Disk of your internal drive (do not format or erase!!), Quit DU and simply re-install 10.6.
Note: Simply reinstalling 10.6 version from disk (without erasing the drive) only replaces 10.6.8 with 10.6.x and bundled Apple programs, won't touch your files (backup anyway) or most programs, unless they installed a kext file into OS X itself. (only a few on average do this)
#3 Update to 10.6.8 without Security Update 2012-001 v1.0 or v1.1
Reboot and log in, update to 10.6.8 via Software Update, but EXCLUDE THE Security Update 2012-001 by checkinig the details and unchecking the blue check box.
#4 Reinstall any non-working third party programs
When you reboot, make sure to reinstall any programs that require kext files installed into OS X, you'll know, they won't work when you launch them or hang for some reason as they are missing the part they installed into OS X.
If for some freakish reason you get gray screen at any time when booting (possible it might occur when you reinstall older programs), hold the shift key down while booting (Safe Mode, disables kext files) and update your installed third party software so it's compatible with 10.6.8.

It says the second document cannot be opened and to move one of these documents out of your Final Cut Events folder. Go to the App Stor and download an app- any free app will do, it doesn't matter.
Doing this usually "resets" your device's "app awareness" and you should be able to run any app with no problem.
And no, you don't have to keep that free one you just downloaded. You can delete it if you don't want it.

I have been using Final Cut pro v6 without any problems but recently had to reinstall. Since then I can't open and view all my Quicktime clips. They appear white in timeline which means you can hear audio but not view picture. Any tips?

They appear as white clips - audio only no pictures. There are a few QT clips you can view as regular thumbnail images and they play ok. What's the issue? I have fcp v6.0.6 and QT v7. Yes I did software updates which updated fcp to 6.0.6 and QT to version 7.7. That's as far as updates have taken me although i have requested daily updates. I forgot to say the clips don't play in QT view either. Again sound but no pictures when they are played.

Does this happen with all the clips you load to the viewer or just some?
Click on a clip (that is strobing) in the FCP browser to select it, and once selected, type Command + 9 to see the item properties for that clip.
Either report those properties here or take a screen shot of the item properties for the clip and post that here.

Check your mac's Serial Number.
Some people have problems with missing serial numbers on their Macs and that's the message you get when this happens.
Click on the Apple at the top left of the screen, open "About this Mac" and click on "More Info". You should see a list with information about your Macbook Air. Check that on the Serial Number field you have your Mac's Serial. If you have "SystemSerial#" written instead then that's your problem.
You can re-enter your serial number if you have a USB CD drive, it's not very straightforward but I can walk you through it if you need it.

My Final Cut Pro X doesn't run. An Izotope window pops up and fcp crashes

Hello,
i installed a trial version of Izotope RX2 but now Final Cut does not open. A authorization window from Izotope pops up when i open FCP and it crashes. I can't press any button (Authorization or Continue) of that window and FCP crashes, i always have to force quit.
I have already cleared Izotope but the plug-ins of Izotope still appear on my Reaper (audio software).
Did this ever happened with anybody? Or just somebody knows anything that could help?

I'm guessing you have an izotope audio unit plugin still installed on your mac that's causing problems.
Trying finding it and removing it temporarily from here:
Library > Audio > Plug-ins > Components

I have iPhoto 08 and have been happy with it. Don't want to upgrade. But suddenly, when I click on an event, instead of all the photos, I just get one- enlarged- and cannot move to the next one. The photo just jumps up or down. How to solve?

I have posted "submit" twice and keep getting requests to submit again. Now being asked to write a summary! Here we go. I have iPhoto 08 and am happy with it. Don't want to upgrade. But suddenly when I click on an event, instead of getting all the photos, I just get a large version of one photo and cannot move on to the others. The right arrow will not move it and the photo just jumps around.

Final Cut Pro X has been force closing on my computer.

I've been editing some footage that I filmed for my journalism class and as I was finishing the final details, FCP X shut down. I've tried opening the application again, but it's not working. I've shut down the computer but nothing has changed. I don't know what else to do.

Probably a corrupt file or project.
Move your events and projects to temporary folders then try again.
If it starts OK, you need to bring back the events and projects to their original locations one by one to find which one is causing the problem.
You could then narrow it down to the individual file or files using the same method.

Is it similar to iDVD or DVD studio pro? What encoding options are there? Are there only default menus or can you create your own?
Any help would be great as I currently use FCE 4 and iDVD and I am considering upgrading to FCPX.

We have FCP Studio 5.1 and we have our serial number and all proof of purchase etc. We got a new computer and somehow have lost the discs. Is there a place to get, purchase, or download just the software and then we can enter our serial number to activate it and register it. Thanks.

Also, file a claim with your insurance company.
