There is a way to get it recovered from the so called DFU mode. Try to restart the phone while holding the home and power button at the same time. Then try to connect it to iTunes and do the same again. If you try that again till it works you should be able to use your iPhone as before.

It's a POP account. I decided to clean up my mailbox today after noticing the computer was real slow after USA Today started sending their daily top stories with new graphics. BT have made some changes to their email services recently (http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/44789/) so you may be having problems because of this. I was certainly having problems, although I don't think that they were exactly the same as yours, and resolved it by creating a new account called something new. If you haven't deleted any mail from the BT webmail, when you create a new account on your Mac, it will mirror everything on webmail as it is an IMAP account. Once you are happy that the new account is working properly and that you haven't lost any messages, you can delete the old account.

I was trying to download it on Apple TV, but it wouldn't work, so I purchased the rental from my I pad. It would have taken hours to download at that rate. Usually I have no problem.

The message is referring to not having enough space on your iPad, not to not having enough space in your iCloud account. Purchasing additional storage in your iCloud account does not give you more available space on your iPad.
You can check how much space you have available on your iPad by going to Settings>General>Usage. If you don't have enough, you'll have to delete or sync some data off your iPad to free up additional space.

Chris , thanks for the prompt reply. The dvd was produced by a third party that I found on line . I had a number of old mini digital video cassettes from a Sony Handycam. I can play the DVD's on my laptop but I can't edit them on iMovies to delete a lot of the rubbish on them. I have five DVD's and three downloaded without any problem but the last two are according to iMovies non importable.

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1. The hardware prevent unsing a higher version.

The account cannot be validated error was due to a glitch on our activation server that has been fixed now.
Please try using acrobat now and check if you are still facing the problem.

Enabling iTunes Match does not delete music from your computer. Why do you think it is now not in the iTunes library if it was before? If all of your music was in the iTunes library then it is also now in the cloud if iTunes has completed it's scan and all the music meets the match requirements. Enable the iCloud Status column in the iTunes browser by switching to Song view and pulling down View > View Options. Select iCloud Status then close the small window. Sort on the new column. Your music should be listed as "purchased," "matched" and "uploaded." Some tracks may be "ineligible." Post back and let us know.

Hold the Option key down and restart. Select one of the drives that comes up and hit the Return key.
