My number was deactivated today when I paid my bill 5 days ago on the 17th of March.  It was not due until the 21st but I paid it and it has posted to my Visa card and all.  I don't understand why my number has been deactivated.  I have important calls to receive but cannot because it's telling all of my callers that my number is no longer available.

I bought or activitated a skype number for 3 months (it cost 17,25 Euro) sometime in October 2012 and should be valid from October 2012 to December 2012. If you don't want to continue this number you have to cancel it before the 3 months peried ends. Now, this number didn't work and I wrote email to skype to complain, but there is only that noreply email address, which you should not write to and apparently it didn't reach skype.. The payment was deducted form my Paypal account. So, apparently my complaint didn't reach skype. I just find out about this forum/community now.
Then, skype, since it perhaps doesn't know my compliant, deducted again from my paypal account the next 17,25 Euro for the next 3 months. As a protest that I don't want to continue this number or order, I stopped the amount deducted by paypal. But skype has got it already from paypal.
Now skype is writing me that the payment is fraudulent, and paypal has now gone to a lawyer to get the originally 17,25 payment that skype has deducted from them which which I had stopped and the amount now that paypal want me to pay has gone now to an astronomic high of 87,38 Euro (including lawyer cost).
I want skype to cancel this number I subscribed because it doesn't work, and they were not easy and available to be reached for customers. And I want to claim the 34,50 Euro (17,25 Euro x 2) be refunded, and I want skype to pay paypal the amount that paypal is claiming from me, because if it doesn't for skype, the amount that paypal is wanting from me would not have accumulated.
Is there a case like this in this forum? Are there skype employees here who are reading this? I don't know where to send my complaint. It is unfair for individual customers because skype is a vast apparatus and you don't know how to connect with them to protect one's rights immediately.
Please some good souls out there help me and message me.

When I bought more credits, the function "Reactivate number" worked and I could fulfill another payment (again).     What people do who need such a scenario is set up a Skype account for each Skype Number, thereby creating the differentiation between each Skype Number.

    As with the others here, our incoming Skype number rejects all calls with "You have reached a number that has been disconnected." or something equivalent, depending on the calling carrier. There's no way to do any workaround like forwarding or voicemail, as the call is rejected at the very incoming level. We've had this number for over 4 years, and now it's useless. There is plenty of credit sitting there in Skype Manager, so there's no reason from our end for it to be disabled.
    I already have an escalation with Skype support that has been in for 1.5 days so far with no effect on the problem.

    Thank you for your assistance. Since we became aware of the outage at approximately 9AM, Dec. 24 US Mountain Time, I have been making use of Skype support's "live chat" to try to get information or any sort of feedback about what to expect. The first live chat session was at 9:17 MST on Tuesday, but given that Skype has generally been able to resolve outages like this fairly quickly in the past, there was no escalation at that point and I was not very worried. When the problem was still happening Tuesday evening, I used support chat again close to 8PM MST. The technical escalation was put in close to 9PM Tuesday night. At 5AM MST, an Email came in regarding the "SRX" escalation, but the email was completely in Chinese, and any attempts to use Babelfish or Google translation were unsuccessful in retrieving anything intelligible from that email.
    Last night, after another full day of outage, I once again went on Skype live chat support and interacted with a support person who was very empathetic, but really had nothing to offer other than "All we can do is wait."
    At this point, it's been yet another full day since then with no change in the problem and zero usable communication from the "technical escalation" aspect of the situation.
    I have probably "overcommunicated" here, but I thought it was worthwhile to make clear that I have been communicating repeatedly (3 times so far) with "first level" Skype support, but I don't know that there would be reason to expect it would do any good to chat with them again tonight.
    The "just waiting in the dark" goes on.

    If you never bought the product then you cannot get the serial number.

    Yes, if you don't bother to change your password. You may also want to seriously consider turning on two step authentication.

    From where did you buy this "PIN"? And did you get an actual card, or did they just send you a number? If you got only a number, then you may well have been defrauded. You'll need to go back to whoever sold you this "PIN" to resolve the problem. Apple to the best of my knowledge does not authorize any company to provide codes rather than a physical card and hence probably cannot help you if you did not get a physical iTunes card or receive a gift certificate issued by the iTunes Store themselves.

    A month ago I received a spoofed call at 6A - obviously I was not happy. Came from 000-0000000 as I recall.
    Tonight I had two irate people call me minutes apart saying I called them - I was eating dinner with my wife with my phone turned off in our eye-sight.
    I cannot believe that we allow spoofing software and spoof cards these days, with only a crime if someone asks for money or does some similar fraudulent activity.

    Logic is the APPlication (program, app) that you are having the problem with.
    Logic Pro can take advantage of other computers on your local (home or work) network to help it do "heavy lifting" data chores by using Bonjour and a feature called Nodes.   It seems that Logic is attempting to find and connect to another machine on your network.
    Do you have Logic installed on another computer there?  That may be the source of the confilict.
    You might want to post this question in the Logic Pro Community.
    Be sure to indicate the version of Logic Pro that you are using.  I'm sure the folks there can help you out.

The Skype platform can't get better if they don't accept the nuances that can be obtained from verbal feedback from customers.

    I was originally an Orange PAYG customer and in May was sent an EE 4G Sim that did not work in my old nokia 1100 phone so I cancelled monthly contract within the 14 day cooling off period and started to use an Orange Dolphin SIM in my phone.My old Orange number has been transferred to the 4G account (it appears on the bill) but they told me it had been transferred to an EE PAYG. I have been sent an EE PAYG Sim but this does not work in my phone either ( I think it is a 3G Sim) my phone is 2G. How can I find out where the number has gone?

    The EE PAYG SIM will be a 4G SIM card.
    You could pop into an EE Store and see if they can try your SIM card in a 4G phone.

I left it to rest for about 20 hours and then today it Has been working fine all morning. Using indesign and Skype which usually slow it down anyway but it's been fine. Then I plugged my iPhone 4S into it and it just shut off again. But this time it won't switch back on. No idea why this has happened but I hadn't saved my work either. I'd not long plugged the charger in to it but now, it's still plugged in, but the light on it is very dim and is just flashing.
    No idea what to do. Please help!

    You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
    Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

  • Serial number has been registered before!

    I bought a new macbook pro and was trying to register the product online. it is a sucsessful registration on the product. However when i try to update the MAC OS X to Lion, it cannot be updated and request to use the up-to-date program to submit some of the information.
    I did submit twice on the up-to-date program. Cause the first email was reflected that the attached receipt was illegible. Hence, i upload another with a more high and clear pixel jpg. by right it should be clear enough. It still doesn't work out.
    I call up to apple support to ask. With the Serial number check, found out that my serial number has been registered before with another person name, and is not under my name. moreover that the purchase date is on April 2011. Which cause my warranty to be expired on the April 2012.
    I very doubt that my macbook pro is not new. Or been used before and return to the store.
    DId anyone experience that same problem?

    If the item is brand new out of the box then it may just simply be someone accidentally registered their system serial with yours by spelling mistake (S instead of 5, B instead of 8, etc..)
    Best way to resolve this is just call AppleCare and provide them with your proof of purchase and the serial number, I'm sure they can sort it out if you get to the right department.

    I was not informed.
    Now it has been brought to my attention by a customer i find that hte system tells me the number is no longer available but when I call it there is no answer so it is not being used.
    I would like my old number back. How do I achieve this?
    I must say it is also VERY frustrating that I there is no contact information for customer services at all on this site and if there is it is so well hidden that it is impossible to find. Big negative.

    I apologize for the problems you had activating your Galaxy S4, we definitely need to get it up and running. From the details provided, it sounds like it didn't activate properly. Was the Bionic on when you swapped them online? Power off both phones; remove/re-insert SIM in Galaxy S4 and try again. If problem is still there, completing a factory reset will push the activation through.
