I saw a TV programm on BBC persian about your new Iphone (4s).
It is really perfect!!!
But I have an idea to improve it! I live in Iran and as you know we (and lots of other people in Asia) usually do not speak English in our daily speaking. so if you add a part to your phone that when the owner speak with wrong grammer or pronounsiation after the answer from the phone it says the owners's sentence in correct form to he learn it.

I have that book - there is new stuff for sure, but in terms of the operation of the phone's browser and the XML objects you can use, the basics are still the same. The book does a reasonable job of going over the basics which isn't something you can expect from the Cisco SDK docs. To be honest I'm quite experienced with the various APIs now but a lot of the documentation isn't clear, and I'm sure that's not (always) a lack of understanding on my part.
The question would really be 'what do you want to do?'. There are a wealth of APIs available for providing various functionality and the interface presented on the phones may only be a small part of it.

UCCX Phone Agent Developer?

I have a company is looking to get a custom application created similar to the UCCX IP Phone Agent, except that would like to get the queue information and ID all on one screen. Can anyone suggest any developers that may be able to create such an app?

I saw some guys are selling the Firefox OS mobile phones.

New iphone on O2 I had the phone unlocked, the phone then developed a problem with connecting to wifi. it was sent back under the warranty for a replacement phone. will the new phone be sent back back on O2 or unlocked as I sent it ?

Don't want to have to pay again to have it unlocked.

I looks like you are trying to declare and define your function at the same time.
Functions can be declared in your .h file:
- (void)myFunction;
And defined in the .m file:
- (void)myFunction {
//does stuff
however, this is not your only problem. I believe this function is already part of the textFieldDelegate so you should be using the delegate, and I don't think you need to repeat your imports.

Development phone

How to get an iPhone to be used solely for development(in US)? I have already signed-up($99) for developer program. I want to test my application in the real phone.
I want to use the iPhone only for development/debug the apps. Does Apple sell iPhones just for app development purpose like Google does for Android development?

Apple doesn't sell special phones for dev purposes. You're on your own. Note that when you assign the phone for dev, particularly when using any beta firmware, you're agreeing to use it only for dev and not for routine personal use.

Problem with phone line after installation of BT I...

Hi,
After persuading my dad (86) to switch from aol to BT infinity he is still without a working phone line. The phone line worked perfectly before switching to BT. Bt infinity was installed 5 weeks ago and ever since then his phone line developes a loud buzzing noice then breaks up completely after about 1-2 minutes into a call. Has been reported to BT several times, 4 BT engineers have been out to try and fix the problem without any success. We do not seem to be getting anywhere with BT and do not know what to do next.
Any help/advice would be gratefully received.

Very slow connection speed, after phone line probl...

My catalogue of problems starts about a month ago. The phone line developed heavy interference and my Broadband connection kept dropping. This was diagnosed as being a fault with my HH 1.5. BT duly sent me a replacement HH3 which arrived about 3 days later. I installed the new hub, changed all the wiring and the filters for the new kit that came with the hub only to discover that the interference on the phone line was now even worse. It was so bad that at times you could not even hear what was being said on the other end of the phone, so an engineer visit was arranged.
A week later a BT engineer came and checked the line, sure enough there was a second problem and all the wiring from my house to the nearest telephone pole had to be replaced.
These problems had had a catastrophic effect on my connection speed and profile (I was getting about 500 kbps both up and down stream), so I dutifully reset the hub after the engineer had finished and waited for the line to stabilise.
14 days later and the upload speed had doubled, but the download speed is still unchanged at 570 kbps, about half the current upload speed. The line was a bit temperamental for the first few days but I have been able to maintain a solid connection for the last 4 days, current stats are as follows:

There is only one active socket in the house, and the hub has been running from the test socket for the last week.

The Hub is connected to the test socket. Disconnecting the ADSL feed to the hub has had no real effect (The upload speed increased marginaly but still no change to the download speed). Reran speedtest too, the new stats are:

Phone site being uploaded as desktop site.

Hi there,
Whenever I publish my site the desktop version becomes lost and only the phone version displays in my desktop browser. I have made sure all my hyperlinks are in order. Only by deleting the phone version can I reinstate the desktop version. I am hosting on Business Catalyst. It would be great to have some advice.

I fixed it. I imagine clearing the browser cache would have done the same thing but I put a "Need full version?" link on the phone version and after clicking the link the full version started coming up again, I guess overwriting a bit somewhere that had it stuck in phone from development.

Get Phone Registration Status

Does any one know how to get (which table is the info in) a phone's registration status, ie the UCM server its registered to or if its not registered at all?
This doesnt seem to be held in the Device table...
 
 
 

I'm afraid that's not in the database. Depending on the CCM release you need to query the DeviceListX.asp report (details in the ip phone services developer guide that you can get in the appropriate section at developer.cisco.com) or send a SelectCmDevices AXL Serviceability query (with the usual caveat of only 200 devices per query.. so you need AXL to extract all devices, then send one AXL Serviceability request per 200 devices until you have all the devices).

What devices should I get for development?

I am a developer and want to start making apps for the new screen resolutions as well as continue android development. It is also time for me to get a new phone. So should I get an android phone like the S3 and get an iPod touch, or just get an iPhone 5 and continue to use my old android phone for development?
I know this is a really vague question, so I'm asking what the more experienced developers would do.

One of my big questions is do you guys actually keep the same phone for two years
I have no choice. I'm locked into a contract. Are you saying that you buy multiple phones in the $600 range in two years just to get them without a contract? Anyway, if you decide Android, I would not get an S3. Maybe an HTC or Droid. But I would go with iPhone 5.

Issues renewing developer membership

I've been having issues renewing my iOS Developer Program membership and adding the Mac Developer Program membership. I'm able to select to enroll in the Mac program, say that I'm currently enrolled in iOS Developer Program and I'm adding the Mac Developer program, it asks me to login (works okay), asks me to add the program I'd like to have (I select the Mac Developer Program), it then asks me to review my purchase details (i do, everything looks good), I hit continue and BAM....
"We are unable to process your request." (Url: developer.apple.com/ios/renew/listAgreement.action)
This has been like this since at least yesterday. Is anyone else having issues? Haven't heard back from Apple yet. I'm a sad panda.

Confirmed that everything is completed. No dice.
My account expires in 10 days. Just got off the phone with developer support and there answer in short was, "Uhhhh, this is weird. We need to escalate it. We can't promise it will get fixed by then." They said they would watch and make sure my account doesn't expire, but they can't guarantee anything. They also cannot renew or set up new accounts over the phone.
At the moment I'm on a complete holding pattern and I'm pretty bummed about it.
Hopefully they figure this out soon.

Had any URI can forward the IP phone to a other number?

i'm developing a xmla application, i need make a menu to forward the operated phone to another phone number. who can tell me which URI key word can do this? like <URL>Dial:8006</URL>

I'm afraid there's no such thing - but then again you probably already knew that by looking at the ip phone service developer guide.
You could either do it in a hackish way
Push a Key:Soft3 (assuming the cfwdall softkey is at position 3), if successful, push the first three digits, then push however many you still need until you have virtually "typed" the entire number.
Or do it properly which consists of an updateLine which sets the callforward all element to the desired number (probably preceded by a getPhone to figure out which lines are on the phone).
