Yes - sync it with iTunes. You can also drag the App form the App section of iTunes to the iPad/iPhone once connected to your iTunes - this will force a sync.
You can also set Automatic Downloads on your iTunes on your mac and also on your phone/iPad. This will mean when you buy anything anywhere it will also download for the other places. I find it really handy.

You can sync your music and apps from iTunes. However since you are moving from an iPod to an iPad, many of the apps will have iPad versions which you will need to redownload.

The Activation server for AA 7 was taken down. I am not sure this link is complete, but it might give you some idea. However, on WIn7 and newer, AA7 has problems and will only work with some workarounds, and then kind of clunky.

When you hook your iPad to your Computer, you will see it listed under Devices. Click on it, and then you will see a window to the right that shows all of your Device Profile pages. You will see a tab for Photos. Click on that tab. There you should see the option to sync all photos, or selected, events, photos, albums, etc.
Select what you want sync'd and then sync the device. The photos you have selected will download to your device.

There is a bit of confusion in the way you explain what you want... more on that in a minute. Whatever the scenario is, you are allowed to have the software installed and working on two machines, so if you like you can leave the original installation intact as a backup and just install on the new machine like you did originally.
Back to the confusion... You say "unsubscribe" which would be associated with the Creative Cloud. You say "creative suite" which would not be a subscription (I think they stopped CS subscriptions when the Cloud came into being). So if you have a Cloud subscription you would sign out of it on the old machine if you no longer want it there. Then you could uninstall if you like. If you have a licensed Creative Suite then you would open any one of the applications in it and choose Help -> Deactivate. Then you could uninstall if you like.

If you have been syncing your old iPad regularly with your computer you can sync the new iPad to the same computer and transfer your stuff easily that way.

If you purchased a package then there should have been instructions in the box on how to submit your academic credentials. If you purchased online from Adobe then you should have received instructions in an e-mail. But here is a link that might help you. The slightly bigger question is whether you want to move all movie content to the external drive (essentially meaning that drive will always need to be attached when you're working with your videos), or whether you just want to archive older videos off to the external drive.
If you want to move all videos, then just move the 'Movies' folder in your home directory to the external drive, then create an alias of the external 'Movies' back in to your home directory. Now the 'Movies' icon in your home directory will point to the external drive and everything will just work (as long as the external drive is attached when you launch iMovie)
If you want to archive older movies then each Movie should have its own subdirectory within your Movies folder. These can easily be moved off to the external drive, and moved back should you ever need to work on those movies again.

If you mean data from the iPhone itself, you can't back up anything from it now that it's no longer in your possession. If you didn't previously back up to iTunes or iCloud, then unless you are lucky enough to recover the iPhone intact, any data on it is lost.

Purchased music now "unauthorized" on computer and won't transfer to iPod

Hardware: I have a 60 GB video ipod for 7 months, have had the same computer for 3 years, and same operating system for 2 months.
Timeline: Last week everything was working with my iPod and my entire iTunes library was successfully updated to my ipod. In the meantime, I backed my entire computer up onto a Firelite 100GB Firewire Drive. Today, I plugged my ipod into my computer and autosynced with iTunes.
Problem: iTunes told me that certain songs would not update to my ipod because I was not authorized to play them on my computer. All the songs in question were ones I had legally purchased through iTunes music store--every single one of them. (My songs that I uploaded into iTunes from my personal CDs were not affected). Rephrased, all my iTunes purchased music was taken off my iPod.
Questions: Is this an iTunes issue, a Firelite issue, or some other problem? Did I violate some iTunes user agreement by backing up my computer, which includes my itunes library?
Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

Thank You. What a simple solution that should have been more obvious to me, but it wasn't. So, thanks to you I won't be spending my time cursing my software and hardware at great length. iTunes is now updating my ipod with all my purchased music in what looks to be a very fun-filled hour.
