try a different cable a different usb port, drop all security software and fire wall, try a different computer here are the steps
recovery mode
open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not iOS device
turn device off
hold home button and plug cable into IOS device. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on IOS device.
look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore

my ex girlfriend stepped on my fone and decided to type in the wrong security code numerous times till it got locked for 23,648,410 minutes. the guy at genius bar said i should do a restore but once i done it its now stuck on "conect to itunes" screen. when i connect the phone to my computer, my computer cannot connect to the phone. im travellin on business and desperately need my phone to work. can anyone help?

I bought an apple iPod 5th generation the other day and I cannot remember the unlock passcode. I have done the restore thing, but because I never set it up or synced it with iTunes, it does not recognize my device. It is disabled for one hour. There's only a few things that could be my passcode, but because it disables for an hour, it is time consuming trying to figure it out. What do I do? I do not care about having to erase everything since it's new and there's nothing on it, but it was never synced with iTunes.
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -
my iphone 4s wont turn on with out being pluged in and when i unplug it it dies instantly i pluged it in put it in dfu mode and tried to restore it hoping it might help but its stuck in dfu and has restore error 21 help!!!

Albums fading and pausing when purchased on iPad off of iTunes.
I just purchased an album off of iTunes on my iPad. First off the album is in a completely random order on my iPad, song 12 then song 1 then song 5, etc. As well, when I play the album the songs fade down, then pause for minutes at a time then they will fade in and start playing again. Has anyone else experienced this? Or have a explanation/solution to my problem?

The same exact thing is happening to me (but I have Snow Leopard). My music is on a USB external hard drive (1TB MyBook) and with almost every song I try to skip, it hangs for upwards of 5 seconds. This is especially annoying because I shuffle my music quite often and I tend to skip over many songs before I find one I want to listen to; and, it happens both when the music is paused and playing.
This hanging has never happened to this extent before upgrading to iTunes 9.0. If there is not a fix to this how can I go about downgrading to iTunes 8.0? -
I Just received a receipt from the App Store. It was for opening one section of a game when I had already bought the full game. I went to the bottom to check on my purchases. It took me to the App Store for view history. I entered my Apple ID and then it switched me to ITune which doesn't work on my iPad! And yet it showed activity in ITunes. A few months ago I had a purchase show up that I didn't make. I contacted the developers because I love their new products so much and wanted to see if it might be a bug in their system because the confusion was within their games only. I would REALLY like to view my APP STORE history but it only lets me get to the part where you can open the apps that are showing. Is their a way to view my full APP history, with dates, money spent etc? I would love to know how to get there. Thank you, Diane Maya
