I purchased two songs and can't play them

I purchased two songs on iTunes from the same album but when I try to play them, I get an error message that says, "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 78 days." I am the only one who uses the iMac and am the only person who has signed into it for a very long time. I'm very confused and very frustrated. Help?
Another strange thing that happens: after the error message disappears, the "play" icon (the little speaker to the left of the track name indicating it's playing) rapidly switches between the two songs.

This happens when you buy using one ID and you have authorised the Mac with another ID.

It merges several songs togetether and don't play them. I have tried to restore it. But it doesn't work.
It would bother me to buy a new one. (sorry for my english, I'm french -_-')

Thank-you so much!! I kept going to the Itune icon, didn't even notice the music one, duh. Listening to my Neil Young song now and it sounds great too. I have a follow up question please. Shouldn't I see this when I go to Itunes on my Sony Vaio and click on >Library>Music? I thought it would be available to play on my laptop too (you don't have to buy the song for each device?) When I go to my Media Player on Windows, it shows the Itunes under my library but no song that I got through my new Iphone. I'm thinking I need to sync it or look into what the ICloud is all about?

I recently purchased a song on itunes and it wont play, when I go to my file and open up the info, i noticed that it shows Codec:AAC (protected) where my other songs are not. Or if im in itunes in my purchased song, when i open the info it shows Kind: AAC audio file where my other songs show Kind: Purchased AAC audio file. how do i get my song to play or get it unprotected?

Hi,
It would seem that you have a corrupted file. Delete track from your library and move to trash. You can now go back into iTunes Store / purchased where you will be able to down load the song again.

In the Gen 4 they offer "Settings" then "Reset Settings" Then it asks, "Do you want to reset your iPod?" I click on "reset" but then nothing resets. :-( This is what makes me think it might be locked or something....

You may want to try resetting Winsock as a temporary fix.
1. To do so, please do the following in an administrator user:
Windows Vista and Windows 7: Right click All Programs and choose Accessories > Command Prompt. Choose to open as an administrator.
Windows XP: Click Start > Run and type in cmd.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

I downloaded two rentals and can not find them on my Ipad

Downloading a rental on the Ipad takes more time. In addition I can not find the rented documentary.
Is there a way of re-download the rented documentary and movie on my computer or apple TV? I already recived the confirmation charge for the rentals but I have not been able to see both rentals.

Unless you are in the US then films are currently a one-time only download - and even in the US not all film studios are allowing their films to be re-downloaded (re-downloading). Did you not copy them off the iPad first via File > Transfer Purchases ? I assume that you are in the iBooks app on your iPad ? If you are, and you've just bought the books and are still viewing the store, then tap the Library button at the top left of the store and you should be taken back to the bookshelf in the app where your downloaded and/or synced books should show - tap a book on that bookshelf to open it
