I recently updated me iPod touch to the IOS 6 software update. My ipod will turn on so I can see the Apple logo, but after a few seconds it turns blank. What do I do?
My iPod touch's screen is not working. I shut it off and turned it back on a hundred times. No matter what I do, it will not work. What do I do?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Some times when I press the home button to read my finger the screen becomes black and it shows the Apple logo, this take a few seconds to get back the screen and this has been happening even 3 or 4 times in a row!
What should I do?Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

When I power up my Imac, I see the white screen and the apple icon. After a few seconds the screen goes dark. I am able to still see the mouse arrow as I move it around. But nothing else. What is the problem and how do I recover?
Try this from another user:
1. Shut the computer down by holding the power button for 10 seconds
2. Restart the computer and press shift at the same time until you see the progress bar start moving
3. Once you reach the point where your screen goes dark and you see the cursor, type the first letter of the username for your computer, then hit Enter, then type your password, then hit Enter.
4. After a moment, you should see the spinning beach ball
5. Your screen should then move on to something along the lines of "Completing OSX Installation" (I can't remember the exact wording). Let it finish. After that it should go to your normal desktop and the issue should be fixed. (If your screen goes pitch black during this process, hit the space bar. I thought it wasn't working, but the screen was just sleeping). -
I plugged my iPod into my computer to retore it and proceeded to do so as told. The only thing that happened after that was that the Apple logo keeps showing up and nothing else. My computer/iTunes no longer recognizes my iPod either.

So how can I backup again on my iPhone and the contacts remain there?
Restore from itunes backup and turn on airplane mode before they gone. Turn off contacts under settings - icloud.
turn off airplane mode. Delete icloud account. Sign back in and merge contacts. -
When clicking on a link in some web pages (AARP in this case), the web page loads in a separate tab, and after a few seconds the page is replaced by a blank page and the word "done" appears on the second from the bottom bar on the screen.
I have updated Windows XP as of 9/15/10 and Firefox to version 3.5.12, but the problem persists. When I turn on my ipod or I plug it in the apple logo appears for a few seconds and then the screen flashes white, soon after the "use itunes to restore" message appears but when I plug it in to my laptop the device isn't recognised on itunes

I have a red X in a circle which sometimes changes to the apple logo but nothing else happens after i try every suggestion; Windows nor itunes does not recognise the ipod; what do you suggest?
You could possibly try a restore from itunes or from the ipod itself, otherwise go get it looked at/replaced, that sounds like a software issue.

My iPod touch got restarted and frozen on the apple logo screen after I erased all content and settings. And it got restarted and frozen again every 5-10 mins until low battery. It also doesn't recognize by iTunes. Did any one has the same problem? And how did you solve it? Thank you.
Try here:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on -
My iPod Touch shows the Apple logo splash screen and then turns off.
When I turn my iPod Touch on, the Apple logo is shown and then it turns off. After a few seconds, it shows up again. It continues to do this non-stop. Is there anything I can do? Any help would be greatly Appriciated
Let the battery fully drain. It may take awhile. After charging for at least an hour. If the iPod does not cycle on and off any more try:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Otherwise it appears you have a hardware problem and an appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -

Hello warhogs17,
After reviewing your post, it sounds like the iPhone will not turn on past the Apple logo. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

My ipod shows the apple logo but wont fully turn on!!
I restored all the factory setting and then my ipod turned of. I then lete it sit for a month and just recently charged it and connected it to the computer. If i hold the power button the Apple logo apears for about 15 seconds and then the screen goes black again. If i plug it into my computer the logo appears and shuts off but it doesnt open up on itunes. How do i get my ipod to turn on?
What happens if you try and connect it to your iTunes in recovery mode and restore it to factory settings? See this article for instructions on getting your iPod into recovery mode. Make sure not to restore from a backup.
