I removed MySearchdial which somehow was installed but the references still show up in about:config.
Noticed MySearchdial had hijacked by search box. Checked and found extension had been added. Deleted extenion, deleted from search engines, reset everything I could. But I noticed many references to "mysearchdial" in the about:config section of Firefox.
My browser appears to be working normal, but it seems these references shouldn't be there if I deleted the extention/add on.
Any suggestions? Doesn't seem like you can delete a line in about:config.
You can't delete lines in about:config but you can reset them by right clicking the pref and selecting Reset to the ones you want to reset to the default values.

This same thing happend to me, you have to make a new account and you have to chose your birthday as if your under 18 or 16, because if you dont own a credit card, you shouldnt be over this age, so basictly just make a new email and appleID and when you chose your birthday, do it under 16 years of age (or your REAL birthday) and you should have an option of clicking "none" for credit card options, but if you want to buy something, you will have to do the credit card stuff, or you can just buy an apple gift card at basictly any store, So this is how i fixed my problum, i hope it works for you, write back your responce of how it worked out please!

After installing icloud in ipad air model-MD785AE/A serial number-DM*****K10 had upgraded the storage to 20 gb. Payment has been done but the storage still shows 5 gb. Please kindly help.

My apple id was changed but it's still showing my old apply id on i touch
I changed my apple id and my iphone change right away but for some reason my daughters itouch didnt change. I went in and change the same areas that i did on my iphone but the itouch did not change my apple id on app purchases.
Go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out and sign back in with the other ID.
Note:
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account. -
Sync says it was successful but the bookmarks never show up
I was able to setup the Sync and I selected overwriting all current bookmarks on this new desktop machine.
The sync said it was successful and may take a few minutes for the bookmarks to show up. Well it has been more than 30 minutes and still no bookmarks.
What is up?Try ddoing a power-down and restart by pushing the power button and use the slider to power off. Then power up again and see if the problem goes away.
One other thing ... have you tried using the search function to search for the name of the app? -
i have recently lost my iphone 4 , it had icloud installed , which i was monitoring on the internet, but my phone wasn't turned on . i accidently deleted icloud on my pc , is there any way i can reverse this , to enable me to try to find my phone
You can simply login to iCloud: https://www.icloud.com and then go to Find My iPhone...but if the iPhone is turned off or restored to factory settings it won't show up.

I plug in my printer and I get a message that says, "the disk you inserted is not readable." It didn't do this before but after I installed a segate hardrive software. I have removed the segate hardrive software but the message still appears. What can I do to remove this error.

Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.

Note: If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before taking this step. If that’s not possible, skip to the next step.

You can then quit Terminal. -

my iphoto wont open since i updated my mac, please help? it says i need to install an iphoto library upgrader which I have installed but still cant see my photos.
What version of iPhoto are you using? 9.6 is the current version.
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.iPhoto.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

The "+" sign which opens NEW TAB has stopped working suddenly. I have to open a new window each time. I tried uninstalling firefox and installing again but the problem still persists. Somebody guide me on this.
Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.

Is there a way to remove installed updates from the App Store update window? I keep getting an alert that I have an update for Apple Remote Desktop. It says its installed, but the alert and the app keep showing up. Annoying!!

Hello, Thought I had just downloaded Mountain Lion butcannot find any evidence that it was installed. It is not showing as an icon anywhere and is not listed in downloads and is not listed under purchased apps. Have I just sat here for two hours watching a download that didn't happen? I do have a folder of incompatible software that's all.
