I repaired a cracked iphone 5c screen now I have a black screen with a vertical blue line on the left hand side of the screen. please help!!

Please help, I repaired an iphone 5c and have now tried two different lcd screens on it but all I get is a black screen or a black screen with a vertical blue line on the left hand side of the screen. I definitely have the cables connected properly etc and before I repaired it the phone had a cracked screen and there was a picture on it.
I have tried hard reset and nothing. I have tried connecting to iTunes but it asks me to confirm on the iPhone which I can't do as there is nothing on the display. I have tried randomly pressing all over the screen but it doesn't work. So I can't even try restoring it on iTunes.
Please help any advice will be appreciated! I successfully have repaired iphone 4's and iphone 5 before but this is the first iphone 5c.

I have had my iphone 4 for 18 months on contract..I have had no problems at all up until the begining of this month. The first issue was that the home button, double click issue wasn't working too well. I read that their was a way to calibrate the button which I had done ( please note this does not include opening up the phone) and I noticed that it works much better. However lately I have noticed that I have a yellow tint, line vertical on the left hand side of the screen. It is very faint when I wake my phone but then gets darker and darker.
I have read that people have noticed this on buying their new iphones however mines has just appeared. my contract is up in 6 months so I'm not keen on spending extra on the phone is there anything else I can do?

Try the basics from the manual. Restart, reset, restore.

What happened to the ability to open your bookmarks on the left hand side of the screen and scroll thru them like on IE?

In older versions of firefox, I could open the bookmarks on the left hand side of the screen, and they would stay open when i clicked on one of them, and i could use it to open multiple tabs. How do i do that in Firefox 5? I do not like the bookmark toolbar.

The bookmarks toolbar no longer displays by default & they seem to be encouraging use of the bookmarks button or bookmarks menu. The bookmarks sidebar is still available if you know the shortcut as above. There is also the bookmarks library, now under show all bookmarks, rather than organise/organize bookmarks. ( Also it is possible with a simple chrome command in the location bar to open the library as a tab enter

Until today, all of my open tabs have appeared in a top to bottom column running down the left hand side of my screen, which works great.

That is not a built-in option in Firefox, you must have an add-on that has added that capability. There are several add-ons that can move the tab bar, check your installed add-ons to see if one of them has that option.

Iphone 5 icon doesn't display on the left hand side of iTunes screen.

Have Windows 8, lastest version of iTunes 64 bit downloaded. When I open the iTunes page and plug my phone into a USB port the phone icon does not appear pn the left hand side of page under devices. Any suggestions? I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and reset my iPhone.

it looks like the left hand margin is way to big but i hav already looked at this and it is not the problem, and ive tried zooming in and out aswell and reseting the zoom ect

Hi - I think this is related to the Babylon Toolbar
Right Click on the toolbar in the grey area this is at top of the screen - If the Babylon Toolbar is ticked deselect it and all becomes well.

The back of my iphone gets really warm on the left hand side where the sim car is,is this a problem? and should i take it back to apple?

There are two iPhone 4 models:
the GSM iPhone 4 uses a sim card for accessing the cellular network and is provided by the carrier,
the CDMA iPnoe 4 does not have a removable sim card and cannot be unlocked for use on anyother network than the one it comes locked to.
If you have an iPhone 4 that does not have a removable sim card, then it is locked to a CDMA cellular network and cannot be used with another carrier.

I have a red line on the left hand side of my Macbook Pro screen

I have a Macbook pro 15" 2012 model with a red/turquoise line which appeared the day before yesterday on the right hand side of my screen....i have plugged in a monitor to see if it appeared on that monitor too and it hasnt? What could be causing this and is it expensive? Please can anyone help? I have tried all the tests on different apple forums resettting the memory and the board and nothing has worked....it did disappear but has come back permanently now. While using Skype on my mac pro the screen freezes and splits in two and the left hand side shifts to the right and the right shifts to the left with a large black block down the centre, should I take it back to store as it is only a month old??
