I reset my iPhone 4 Network settings to fix the push notification problem, but I lost my internet connection. How do I fix it?

I tried to solve the "connect to iTunes to receive push notifications"-problem by resetting my network settings, but it only caused me to lose my internet connection when using 3G. Now I can't do anything with this stupid phone. How do I fix it? I don't want to reset anything anymore, I'm sick of this new iOs update, it seriously messed up my phone and I can't do anything properly anymore. Any help?
And btw, I would also like to get the push notifications back on. Connecting to iTunes did absolutely nothing. Resetting the network settings only made my situation worse. Help please!

Hi there Julia,
Ahh The iPhone isn't "stupid" it's been called "stupid" because you are frustrated at the situation , but try
Load iTunes. Backup your phone. Make sure it is backed up !! Run restore. This will get rid of the error! And please what ever you do , do not skip the back up!
Thanks,

  • How can I fix the push notifications problem on my iPhone 5?

When I bought my iPhone 5 it came with an AT&T sim card in it. And I activated my iPhone and my apps with it, then I changed the sim card to my provider's sim card and since that day I haven't been getting push notifications. Is there something that I can do? Pls help me.

Yes the list is for Apple devices.
Told you that Apple is going touch because the supported carriers complained.

What version of iTunes are you using?  The latest is 10.6.3. In iTunes, choose Help -> About iTunes to check the version number. If it's lower than 10.6.3, download the latest version from here.

  • They fixed the right click problem, but now there is a bigger problem

after updating, I can use my right click perfectly on Windows XP. however, my windows XP starts to restart very often-which means the "blue-sceen" comes out very often. I believe many poeple has this problem because I had already read couple of complains...Well...I hope apple can fix it soon.

I could not right click on my macbook's Precision aluminum unibody enclosure under windows xp, and after updating the trobubleshooter, it works. However, my windows starts to restart again and again (the blue screen) and it says it is because the applemtp.sys has some problems. I read couple of others people's experiences on the Internet, and they all so it started to happen after they fix the right click problem.

  • Do they have plans to fix the bugs with Yosemite.  I keep losing internet connection on my Mac Book

Ever since i installed Yosemite on my Mac Book pro i keep losing internet connection.  Should I go back to mavericks because I just hate this Yosemite or do they plan to fix the bugs soon?  I did a complete clean install and I am still having problems.  I see a lot of complicated solutions and I am not that tech savvy to go into my settings.  Thanks

All software has bugs. The first release (which you have) will be the worst.
Many advocate not upgrading to a new operating system until it's been out for 3 months or longer. In the Windows world many recommend not upgrading until a full year has passed.
So yes, most / some bugs and glitches will get fixed over time.   If you wish to reduce your difficulties in the future wait a while before installing ANY new OS.
I suggest you post specific details on your Internet problems. How are you connected etc.

  • TS1398 iPad won't recognize wifi password after 7.0.2 update.  (The password is correct, but iPad says it's incorrect) How do I fix this?

My iPad won't recognize my wifi password after 7.0.2 update.  The password IS correct, but I continue to get the message that the password is incorrect.  Any ideas how to fix this?

I have the same problem too on my iPad 3. One thing that sometimes works is if you go to the App Store and put your password in there after a few tries it may work.

  • I can't pause downloads in the download window. The button is there but pressing it does nothing. How can I fix this??

I am using Firefox 6.0.2 and I can't pause any downloads. I have both the pause and cancel buttons next to the selected download but cannot use the pause one. I can click it but nothing happens. However, the cancel download button is working. How can I fix this?

I would first update to the latest version of Firefox & attempt to pause the download as you stated to verify if this resolved the issue.
    1. On the menu bar click the '''Firefox '''menu and select '''About Firefox.'''
    2. The '''About Firefox''' window will open and Firefox will begin checking for updates. If updates are available, they will begin downloading automatically. If Firefox is already up to date, just close the About Firefox window.
    3. When the updates are downloaded and ready to be installed, click '''Apply Update.''' Firefox will be restarted and the updates will be installed.

  • I'm suddenly getting the message "Your iPhone cannot be synced. The required disk cannot be found."  What disk? How do I fix this?

I have an iPhone 4 and it's running iOS 5.0.1. I don't know what disk it's talking about, thus I have no way of searching for it.

Try to Reset your device. It might help and is very simple to do.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first).

  • I've set my iphone not to include Facebook birthdays in my calendar but it keeps doing it. How do I fix it for good so I don't get FB birthday calendar reminders?

In Settings > Facebook, I have Calendar set to "off".  In Calendars, I have FB birthdays unchecked. For some reason, it seems to default back to including FB birthdays in my calendar and I don't know how to set it to "off" for good.
I don't want to unsynch FB because I have a lot of contacts whose information I want, I just don't want the constant birthday reminders.

If you feel you have been ripped off, you should take the matter up with
the person who sold you the iPhone. Perhaps Amazon can assist since
the iPhone was not correctly described.

  • Problem using setRequestProperty on a url connection, how can I fix it?

From what I've read on it I thought I did everything the right way. I'm just starting out with the networking aspect of Java. What I'm trying to do is download only a portion of a file. For right now I'm just worried about downloading the end of a file starting from a value I enter manually. I read that I should use the setRequestProperty to set the start position of the file I'm download. For some reason it isn't working for me. It's still download the entire file. Can anyone give me some insight into what I'm doing wrong? I've commented what I think is happening in each line of the code, if someone could verify where I'm correct and where I'm wrong at that would be helpful too. Thank you.

Thanks! I ended up finding that on my own. I'll still give you the points if you want them because you gave the right answer. LOL I do have another question though. I only want to download part of a file and it seems to work fine with .mp3 files, I'm guessing because they were designed to play from any part of the file. However, when the program downloads only a part of a video file the video won't show. Sometimes the audio will still download that goes along with the video file. I read in another forum that the reason p2p programs can preview a video file is because they download the begining and end of the file. My question is, how can determine how much of the beginning and end of the file needs to be downloaded in order for the video file to play? I'm guessing there's some type of header file in the video but how to I download just that first? Then, I'm thinking I would have to use threads to download the different parts then combine them or something. I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • When syncing any device, the device screen appears, but there is no text.  How can I fix this?

When I connect my phone, iTunes shows the device.  When you go to the device screen where you would see the serial number and the check boxes of what you're syncing, there is no text.  The Sync and Apply buttons are there but no wording.  The check boxes are there, but no wording next to it.  So you don't know what you're syncing.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, but it still doesn't work.  And it happens with all 5 devices that I sync.

That generally indicates trouble with the Segoe UI fonts on your system, shannon.
Unfortunately, it's a bit trickier to deal with on Windows 7 than other Windows operating systems. (The instructions by Vortical that usually fix it on Vista and XP can't be applied on a Windows 7 system.)
Try having a look through the following (unfortunately rather long) topic for discussions of possible causes of the issue on Windows 7 systems, and possible treatments for the various font-related issues on Windows 7:

  • Used Firefox almost exclusively, then it stopped working. I reinstalled, find the program in Programs, but it will not load. How do I fix in Windows XP?

Firefox will not start. It had been my default browser. I downloaded and reinstalled program running Windows XP. When I click on icon on desktop, or attempt to run from Programs, nothing happens.
Permissions did not change in the McAfee security software
This is what shows in Properties:
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    File version: 1.9.2.3989
File size: 890 KB (912,344 bytes)
Coincidentally, Windows Messenger now attempt to start every time I try to open an Internet Browser

The [[Firefox will not start]] article may help.
You can try creating a new profile to see if the problem is with your current profile (the profile is where Firefox stores user data). For details on doing that see [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_new_Firefox_profile_on_Windows Creating a new Firefox profile on Windows - MozillaZine Knowledge Base]
If the new profile does work, you can copy selected data from the old profile, as shown in the "Suggested profile contents to transfer" section of the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox Transferring data to a new profile] article.

  • I have tried everything possible. tried resetting my network settings and even the whole phone but my phone wouldn't connect to my wifi at home but will connect to other wifi's when i'm out. my sisters both have the same iphone and theirs work perfectly.

My iPhone wouldn't connect to my wifi at home but connects to others when i go out. i have tried resetting my whole phone and network settings but still wouldn't work. Everyone in my house has an iPhone and theirs work perfectly. I need help. it randomly started working yesterday after not connecting for 4 days and suddenly it stopped working again today

The two things to try first are renewing your network lease, forgetting the network and if that doesn't work to reset all networks. You might have tried one of these but I'll repeat the steps just to make sure.
Settings > Wi-Fi > tap the blue arrow to the right of your network name > Renew Lease
    If that doesn't work then
Settings > Wi-Fi > tap the blue arrow to the right of your network name > Forget this Network
    If that doesn't work
Settings > General > Networks > Reset All Networks > then reset your iPhone by
Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
I hope one of these will help.

  • My i Phone drops WiFi connection after just a few minutes and wont reconnect unless I reset the network settings and reboot the  phone?

My i Phone 4s has suddenly started to drop wifi connection after nealy months of near perfect connections?
To restore a wifi connection I have to reset the network settings and restart the phone, this only fixes the issues for around 2-3 mins?
Other quick fixes like switching wifi on and off/ switching to airoplane mode for a few secconds have no impact.
This is really annoying as I am using my data allowence very quickly, and as the phone is continually searching for a wifi connection the battery time has reduced dramatically.
I just wondered if any one else has the same issue, and any suggestions as to how I can fix this.
    Thanks in Advance

    Reboot.
    Restore (from backup)
    Restore (as new)
Test after each step. If one of them doesn't fix the problem, make an appointment at the genius bar.
