Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Actually, there seems to be a bit of a bug. Encountered this with a couple of files my wife made. The files were set to "open with" the new Keynote, but clicking the file brought up this error. Right-clicking and selecting "open with..." worked correctly. I can only assume the OS was attempting to open the file with Keynote '09 despite the file property setting.
Probably requires a Launch Services DB reset (although I haven't actually tried it on my wife's MBA yet...since she's still "working on stuff". So I can't confirm if it will solve the problem).

After I close the window/s the report error window pops up . Then the next one which tells me the report was sent. Then the options to go further and so I came here today and Now I have done what you said to do so far. I even updated Acrobat reader and Flash player. I have used Mozilla Firefox for years and never had any trouble like this. This is the way windows behaves on a regular basis and is why I changed to Linux for years. I got this computer a couple years ago and did not have any trouble. Recently I have this to deal with several times every day. I cannot close the window in upper right corner without bringing up more error windows. So I minimize and close at the bottom. It still takes way too long, but it finally closes. HT1386 I accidentally unplugged my phone in the middle of a sync, now it will not sync anything.
I deleted all of the songs from my paused downloads/syncs and tried again but it didnt work. Does someone know how to help?

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

it says " itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes" so i restore it and after it gets finished it says " the iphone :iphone" could not be restored. the device cannot be found" but ive used this itunes since i got this phone.

When I go to buy a book it asks for security questions that I have no idea what the answers are. When I ask for a reset to be sent to my email I never receive the email! Help!

When I update itunes it deletes the library file, and when I restore that file from the previous libraries or my backup, itunes will run but tell me "the iTunes library file cannot be saved. A folder was specified instead of a file" How do I fix this?

I have ebooks on my ipod and when I'm listening to a story it will not go to the next chapter, it just starts over again with the chapter I just listen too. How do I correct this? It didn't do this before.
ebooks is a term for (mainly) textual books that can be read on screen. If you're listening then I think you mean audiobooks. See audiobooks on iPods. Either reorganize as single files or access via a playlist.

That means that one or more of these apps was obtained using that ID. All apps are forever tied to the ID used to originally obtain them & they cannot be transferred to another ID. Your only option is to delete this content, then re-purchase using your ID.

They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
