I see charges on my iTunes account that I did not make.

Hello, I'm showing over 200 dollars of charges I did not make. In fact, my computer was being shipped back to me for school since the 17 of Feb. When I got it all up and running I open my email to see multiple charges of music on the 1st of March that I did not purchase. I consider myself a safe surfer and always keep windows and firefox updated, I also run noscript. I ran various anti trojan programs and spybot s&d in safemode and came up clean. I was in a rush to get to class so I was unable to call apple today before they closed.
What is apple's policy on something like this where multiple purchases were made on someone's account without them knowing about it? I plan on calling them in the morning but I would like some input on if this has happened to anyone else and what they did to rectify the situation.

Remove your CC info from your iTunes account, change your password and immediately notify your credit card company and dispute the charges.

Same as any other retailer with bogus charges. Your credit card company authorized the charges so it's up to you to dispute the charges with the credit card company and your CC company to contact Apple.

Don't waste your time. They will tell you to notify your CC company as would any other retailer.

    FIRST, change your iTunes store password.
    Keep in mind that some apps allow you buy additional features, and a couple of developers have turned this into a scam to sell you stuff you didn't order. Apple has removed the apps of all known crooks, but maybe you are the victim of one of them, or maybe it is one they didn't catch.

    My checking account was debited by itunes for a subscription i did not order.  How do I go about having it taken off?  The entire Apple website and the itunes website is competely non-helpful for resolving problems.  They should make their site equally as unfriendly when it comes to enticing you to buy their products.

    You could simply type "Contact itunes support" into the google search bar.  This would give you the link to contact itunes support.
    Or you could just click the word Support at the top of this page, then click the link under Contact Apple Support.

    Since you disputed the charges with your credit card company, the CC company reversed the charges and Apple (correctly) locked the AppleID.
    You will need to contact Apple -> http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/contact/
    and explain what happened.

    You've checked the purchase history on your account (Store > View My Account on your computer's iTunes) and nobody else has access to your account ?     I have had an iTunes account for 3 years. I have tried for at least two years to delete these purchases that I did not purchase off my iTunes downloads. I have tried everything. I took iTunes off my computer, redownloaded . I have tried deleting and removing them. I do not know how they got there but everytime I go to download anything these 8 purchases start to download. I then have to pause them all and back to the agganizing termoil of trying to delete them off my account. Can you please please help meI am beyond aggrevated because nothing I do deletes these things off, and I have tried for two years with no results but more aggrivation.

    I would contact Apple Support either on the phone or via e-mail and have them check if they could remove these questionable purchases off your account.
    There is currently no way to do this on your own.
    And re-installing iTunes does not help as all the purchase info is stored on Apple's servers.

    I have had the same problem with a credit card that I have never used at Apple. The amount was $21.23 and was described "MC Authorization 00112507 APL*APPLEITUNES STORE 2010-04-07 12.31.59"  Apple's email help desk couldn't help me because the card isn't one of my stored cards.  I was told to contact my bank.
    It seems to me that somewhere in AppleLand there is a record of the charge which is still pending.  I don't want to go through the hassle of changing cards.

    Call your credit card company immediately and dispute the charges - sounds as though someone has used your credit card especially since there is nothing showing on your account as purchased.

    The migration process is likely to have signed you out in System Preferences>MobileMe and you will need to sign in again. Then you can mount your iDisk on the Desktop (command-shift-i). Or you can access your files at http://me.com/idisk.
