I have the same question and the only reply I've found on the forum was "change the USB hub", which HASN'T worked. So I am accepting new suggestions. Tks!

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The error hints at a similar pattern to those discussed in the first and third boxes of the user tip, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find CoreMedia.dll in the one of the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
Delete it and then repair Apple Mobile Device Support from the Programs and Features control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

I just used stellar phoenix mac data recovery and it seemed to work but now my files won't open. Even though they are "jpeg, mov" files, the error message is "could not be opened". The movie's file format isn't recognized. " Any help or are they corrupted?
Sounds to me like the file is probably corrupt. If you had hard drive corruption or damage, that could easily result in recovered files not being fully intact. If you were trying to recover accidentally deleted files, it's possible they might have been partially overwritten before recovering. There are never any guarantees with file recovery.
Without more information on the circumstances that led you to try recovery, it's hard to give advice on what to try from here. You could always try another file recovery tool, like Data Rescue 3. Just be sure you're taking appropriate precautions when doing recovery. See Recovering deleted files. -
ITunes could not copy "file" to the "iPhone" because the file could not....
I recently downloaded a few episodes from the iTunes store through my iPhone. All episodes worked fine until I synced my phone with my Mac. After reorganizing some music, I found that I had to place all the tv shows back into the phone. However two episodes would not sync. The error messages:
iTunes could not copy "file" to the "iPhone" because the file could not be read or written.
Attempting to copy to the disk "iPhone" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to.
Syncing everything else works perfectly fine. I am under the impression that these two video files are corrupt. What's strange is that they worked perfectly fine when I downloaded them directly on my iPhone. The "corrupted" videos DO play on iTunes, but they will freeze. I have to skip over that particular time in order to play the video.
So my question(s):
Are my files corrupt? How would I go about to fix this issue? Is there anyway I can place the SD versions of the videos instead the HD ones (Given that it's even possible)? I would hate to spend money again to re-download these episodes because I was provided with incomplete files.This happens time to time with me for some reason. So frustrating there inst a better way that iTunes response to it. Once the failure to copy and the other errors come up, you have to unhook the iDevice and close and reopen iTunes. Sometimes you have to kill the application if it is hung.
Then, go into the sync settings and UNCHECK all media. Sync. Then go to the summary page and check "only sync checked songs and videos" and go to MUSIC and check ONE album. Sync. Repeat this one by one until you get the error. then uncheck the album that caused the error and repeat. Very very annoying but the only way i have gotten this to solve. -

I'm facing the same error even when the server time out is more than the query execution time of the report.By server time out I assume connection time out of WebI report server which I have set to 180 min.But the actual query takes maximum of 5 min.
We are using BO XIR2+SP2.
I scheduled a webI report to get saved in Excel format to an Unmanaged disk location upon a File Event.
We have 3 such reports to be scheduled on the same event.
Expected frequency of File Event getting fired in a day is twice.Scheduling frequency I have set it as every one hour with the file event.
This usually should work fine.
But frequently 1 or 2 of the above 3 instances are getting failed with the following error "Object could not be scheduled with in specified time interval " after being in Running state for few hours(8). Amazingly this is not happening every time. May be once or twice in a week.This works fine after I restart the BO services and the same thing repeats after 3 or 4 days.
Do I need to increase any server parameters?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -

-iTunes version 10.6.3 64-bit.
-Happening since os x update 10.7.4. No issues with os x 10.7.3.
-It will look like it's sync'ing the song both on the mac and the phone, but it's greyed out on the phone where it shows the progress of the song coming over. It will then give the above error after about 5 minutes. Can't play the same song through itunes on the mac as well. It will play for a milisecond then hang iTunes and at other times the entire macbook pro so I need to hard shutdown. About 500 songs out of 6000 so far I've found the issue. Doesn't seem to be any from the itunes store, just cd's I've ripped onto my mac but I'm not positive on that as I can't test all songs with the time it takes to reboot (found the 500 by trying to sync all songs and having itunes random pick them). Also noticed that on a single album most songs will be fine but then others have the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
ChuckOk, so I dont think that I have ever been more mad at a program than I am right now. So I had about 120 songs on my iPhone that I all bought myself, but about 80 of them were on my computer. So I imported them into my iTunes library then I tryed to sync all my music back on; including the other forty songs. But when I did that, all of the 80 songs wouldnt sync. They work perfectly fine on iTunes, but they will just not sync! I have tried dragging them into playlists and everything. I am not new to iTunes, and I completely understand why people steal music and jailbreak their devices. All the stupid copyright laws and sharing stuff mixed with a poorly written program makes everything so difficult! I completely understand why people try to root their iphone and manually drag the songs on, because there isn't something saying "no! don't do that! Even though you bought the song you can't do that!" If Apple was so concerned with copyright, then they should really try to fix iTunes and make it easier for people to use, because otherwise, they are really turning people away from paying for their music. I know quite a bit about computers and have been around, and if iTunes is messing with me, I am positive that it would be insanely confusing for an old person, or someone who just wants to put music on their iPod and doesnt want to deal with all this stuff that he has no idea about. Well, sorry about the huge long complaint, but it is so annoying, and I am sure that many people will agree with what I just said! Oh and if anyone does have advice, feel free to let me know. Thanks.

iphone 3gs shows activation required, hooked up to iTunes and it is not recognized. Did the restore but just gets to the end and gives an error message it could not be restored, an unknown error occurred (-1). Can someone assist me in next steps please?
Instructions to get the phone back working temporary.. till there is a real fix.
1. turn off the phone
2. fire up iTunes
3. press and hold the home button, plug in the cable, hold till you get to see the recovery mode
4. iTunes will the allow to choose restore the phone back to 5.0.1 ( no other choice)
5. iTunes will then ask you to choose which previous backup to would like to recover.
(note: please do not reboot your phone unless necessary, i realize at times after reboot, it goes back to sq1) -
My wife had an iPad for a year and synced to our computer with no problem. I recently received an ipad2 and when I tried to sync using separate apple and iTunes passwords, under her computer user name, it appears I over-road her account and synced all her apps with my apps on my iPad. I then set myself up as a new user on our computer and tried to sync. I now get the error that my iPad is synced to another library. How can I start over without erasing all my data on the iPad?
Go back to her login. Unless you deliberately erased apps, they should all be there, both yours and hers! Then, you need to set up each iPad separately. You will notice that they have separate names for that very purpose.
There is no problem with multiple Apple IDs on the same iTunes on the same computer except... Apps are permanently associated with the ID that was originally used to obtain them. If you choose to update an app from inside iTunes and you're logged into the "wrong" ID, you must log out and back in again.
On the bright side, you can configure either or both iPads to sync with apps and music and movies, etc. from either or both IDs. Further, if you choose to update the apps from the iPads themselves, there is no need to log out/in. The device handles that. All you need is the correct password. In my case, I use the same password for both IDs to make things easier. -

Getting "the procedure entry point CGImageRelease could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreGraphics.dll" error when starting Itunes. Haved reloaded many times and still the error.
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
Does iTunes launch properly now?
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post:

This problem does seem pretty random, affecting just a small number of tracks. Apparently it is due to some file corruption or something... Anyway, this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2654317?start=15&tstart=0 has a couple of solutions spelled out. Basically the same thing that a-monk-at-large suggested above. (Delete and redownload the offending tracks.)

When I attempt to sync my iPod with iTunes, "iTunes could not copy "songname" to the iPod because an unknown error occurred (-69)" appears, I have attempted to restore my iPod settings but this doesn't help at all. This only happened after I installed the latest update of iTunes.
