I too need to re install Bonjour, If I uninstall iTunes and re install i tunes, will I lose all my music?

I accidently uninstalled Bonjour and need to re install it.
If I do what is suggested and uninstall i tunes and reinstall it, will I lose all my songs etc that I already have on i tunes?

No. They will be right where you left them after re-installing iTunes.
Either way, you should be backing this content up anyways.

Make a backup of your media and other important files.
Just to be safe, make a backup of your entire iTunes directory.
Restore computer or do whatever it is you need to do.
Restore your media and other important documents.
    Install iTunes.
Try using search next time... this gets asked way too frequently.

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

If they just delete iTunes, the music files should still be there. I suggest making a backup of them though. Locate your iTunes folder (The one that contains your library file) and just copy the whole thing to your Documents folder or wherever you like (Just not in the same directory of the original folder otherwise the computer will get confused and could confuse your iTunes library). Then you will have a backup of all your music, plus if you purchased it from iTunes, you will still have it linked to your Apple ID so you can re-download them to any computer with iTunes on it when you feel like it.

Once you are in Recovery Mode, it's too late to do any backup. I am afraid you are going to lose your data.

    Your library should be fine.
You ought to back it up routinely anyway.

  • I need to uninstall iTunes and re install on a drive other than c:

Current install is on an older pc with a 30gb c: drive.  itunes is sucking the life out of that drive by filling it with not just music, but ipad backups as well.  Is there any way to delete and reinstall itunes so that not only is the media library stored on e:, but also all of the USER\APPLICATION DATA folder stuff that normally goes on c:, no matter what?  I've tried looking at the itunes options and stuff, and I've already moved my personal musuc library to e:, but every download and app update still goes to c:, as well as those pesky ipad backup files.

Both applications do not support a custom installation location.  You will need to have sufficient disk space on your primary drive to install the applications.

  • Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run iTunesHelper. Please uninstall iTunes and then install iTunes again. Error 2. please.. help

Can someone help me? been stuck with this problem.. and i need too install this, so i can use my iphone.

Install 7-Zip (free), or a free trial of WinRAR, and use one of them to extract the contents of the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe installer file, then try installing AppleApplicationSupport.msi as a standalone component. Even if it won't install you may get a more useful error message as to why not.

So when I plugged in my iPhone 4 (iOS 7.0.4), iTunes told me it needed to update to the newest version... so I did. After installing it it gave me an error (-45019) that said that a required component wasn't installed. I looked it up and people were saying to unistall iTunes and all apple related software and reinstall itunes which i did. I am on Windows 8.1.
Now it gives me this error. "Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please unistall iTunes and install iTunes again. Error 2 (Windows Error 2)." I did this and it gave me the same message... Please help! How do i get iTunes running again?

  • Can I uninstall itunes and re-install without losing my library?

My eject button has disappeared.  So I want to unistall Itunes and then re-install it.How do I do this without losing my library?

Your library is preserved with the following repair process, but you ought to be routinely backing up anyway.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
See also HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP or HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    and paste into:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

  • Uninstalling itunes and re-installing

Hello, is there anyone out there that can help me please???
When trying to install a new version of itunes I'm getting,
    Invalid Drive: F:\
and when i try to uninstall itunes I'm getting,
    Fatal error during installation
I really dont know where to start!!??

At some point you had a digital camera card or memory card in drive F: and for whatever reason, itunes thinks it needs to be there again.
So plug things into your USB ports until you see a drive F: in windows explorer.
    Then try the install again.
