I-tunes downloading erroe

Please help with the following error while downloading I-tunes version 9 on Windows business Vista. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT, version = "8.0.50727.4053" HR result 0x80070422

0x80070422
Usually with these ones, the error is caused by an underlying problem that also prevent *Windows Updates* from installing, and the error codes for the Windows Update failures match the iTunes install failure error message code. So my main strategy with them is to apply the Microsoft documentation for the equivalent problem for Windows Updates.
So I'd try the following document first:
[Error message when you try to install updates by using the Windows Update Web site or the Microsoft Update Web site: "0x80070422"|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958043]
Are you able to get your iTunes to install if you apply the Windows Vista instructions from that document?

  • I have I tunes downloaded on my computer. Both my wife and I have I-Phones which where bought separtely.  Can I sync her phone and my phone so that our contacts and music aren't shared?

Both my wife and I have I-Phone 4S. I have I-Tunes downloaded to my lap top and we both have separate I-Tunes accounts.  How can I Sync my wife's phone without having all my contacts, and my music end up on her phone?

Each iDevice synced with iTunes on the same computer has its own sync preferences with iTunes.
If each iPhone is synced with the same supported address book app on the computer, contacts will be the same on each iPhone.
You can create a seperate computer login account for your wife where she can access her iTunes content only with iTunes under her computer login account and the same with her contacts, etc.

  • Won't Connect to Internet After I-Tunes Download

After I download I-Tunes software on to my computer the computer will not connect to the internet after it is turned back on. This problem goes away if I system restore to a date prior to loading the I-Tunes software. I have done this twice with the same result. I am running a new Dell computer with Windows Vista Home Premium. I have contacted Dell and QUEST my DSL internet provider and spend hours on the phone with them. They both agree that the problem has to do with the I-Tunes download but can not tell me anything other than that. I just bought my wife an I-Pod for her birthday and I will have to return it if I can not resolve this issue. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Try zapping (resetting) the PRAM: Turn the MBP off, then, when you restart, hold down the -Option-P-R keys. It will chime, then restart and chime again. Let this happen twice (2 or 3 chimes) and then release the keys.
Reset the SMC (System Management Controller)
If the computer is on, turn it off.
Disconnect the AC Adapter and remove the computer's battery.
Press and hold down the power button for 5 seconds and then release the button.
Reconnect the battery and AC Adapter.
Press the Power button to restart the computer.
For good luck, repair disk permissions:
From the Finder, click on "GO", then "Utilities" on the drop down menu. Open Disk Utility, select your Mac HD, and click on repair disk permissions.
    Good luck!

  • I tunes downloads to wrong drive

Hi guys some help please. When I download the latest I tunes 9.1.1 is wants to install to drice "G" which I don't have I want it to download on "C". Any ideas?

    Hey there,
One thing you should check is where your iTunes searches for your iTunes folder. Head to iTunes and then Preferences. When the window pops up, head over to the Advanced tab. Near the top of the tab, you will see where iTunes currently locates your Music folder. Click the Change button and then direct it to where the folder is located on your External drive. See if that helps.

  • I tunes downloads help

Recently I down loaded a movie from I tunes onto my iPad .    I took another of my iPads , signed out the existing apple i.d. And signed in my apple I.d. Which was used to purchase the movie and downloaded it on my second iPad. It worked but when I signed out of the iPad and my mom signed back in with her apple i.d. The movie was no to be found. How can she access the movie. FYI , I bought the iPad, and the movie.
    What changes should I try.

It's probably due to your 2 IDs.

  • I Tunes downloads onto my PC but won't open. Can someone assist  with this dilema?

I have downloaded I Tunes to my PC numerous times. The download goes fine. When I hit the icon to open I Tunes up, nothing happens. I have removed I Tunes from my system and reloaded, and still it won't open. Can anyone help with this dilema?

Thanks for this mha007 - I can now open FF with a new profile. Can I copy my settings from the old profile or will this bring over the same problem, maybe a corrupt file. If it would bring the same problem, is there any way I can check which file is corrupt, apart from taking them over one by one?

  • It says that i-tunes downloaded but I cannot locate on my computer

I have attempted to download i tunes... it states that it is completed but is not located anywhere on the computer

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • Download error for I tunes downloaded film

Under normal conditions dl time relies only on your connection speed and the file size: what kind of internet connection do you use and how long is "forever" approx.

  • HT1725 Problems with playing tunes downloaded form Itunes store.

I have downloaded some tunes from Itunes store. The download is completed, and I can't download it again. When I play the tunes in Itunes, they get aborted after short or longer period of playing. What can be the reason for this?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • I-tunes downloaded music bad quality

Every time I download music from i-tunes and then upload it to my i-pod mini - the sound quality is horrible compared to the cds I loaded to i-tunes. Any suggestions or insights?

Does it sound OK in iTunes on your PC/laptop? Or just bad on the iPod?
