I Tunes - Sync (Btw Comps)

Hi there, in conjunction with the NY, my laptop absolutely died on me yesterday - won't even register the power feed. I had my i-tunes installed on it, the back-up I have is a few months old... Is there a simple way of getting the material I have purchased in the last few months?
Additionally, is there a way of say syncing your i-tunes @ work, with the one kept on the home PC? And by sync, I mean u can see all music files, one purchase goes to both accounts, etc...

If you didn't make a back-up of your most recent purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. I have been trying desperately to figure this out and cannot. I'm testing a simple two button app created using Flash CS5.5 publishing to AIR for IOS, I get no errors, the adl playback is fine, my trace statements work yet when I drag the .ipa into Itunes I see it in my app section, soon as I go to sync I get the msg

Calendar events modified when syncing btw Entourage2008 & iPhone

I sync contacts, notes and calendar btw Entourage 2008 and my iPhone 3.0. Everything had been syncing smoothly but suddenly I have got a msg saying that more than 5% of my computer calendar records will be modified. I cancelled the calendar sync.
When I checked the details of the modifications it shows the following for one record:
Before sync the birthday event ( which pulls directly from contacts) shows Classification "Public" and no alert scheduled
After sync the birthday event shows Classification "empty" and an alert is scheduled
I don't know what classification refers to and on my iPhone and my Entourage calendar this particular birthday event has an alert already scheduled.
One other unusual thing I have found is that many of the birthday events are duplicated in the Entourage calendar in iCal and on my iPhone, but on my main Entourage calendar they appear only once.

Don't sync those entries to your work calendar. The iPhone supports multiple calendars. If you're not using iCloud, start using it and keep your personal stuff out of your work calendar.
Marking them as private manually will NOT protect them from view by others. Your supervisor , theirs, and on up the food chain, may well have the ability to see your "private" calendar entries.
From the perspective of IT and the company/organization, there is no such thing as "private" or "personal" data on company owned computers and networks.

Where do I find my I tunes synced from my lap tp

I have synced my I tunes library from my lap top but I cannot find them on my I pad

Look in the Music app under More. iTunes must remain open on your computer to use Home Sharing.

I-tunes sync option disabled

I have a HP laptop that I have used fine with i-tunes in the past. However, when I plug the cable from the i-pod to i-tunes to put new music on the sync option/devices is not appearing between "Store" and Playlist in i-tunes. A few notes:
* Under file under "Sync i-pod" i-pod sync is disabled
* In Preferences-Devices I have unchecked and checked disable automatic sync
* I have downloaded new version of i-tunes and restarted computer multiple times.
* When I plug i-pod into computer via cable the i-pod lights up but does not take a charge
* When I plug i-pod into a wall adapter it takes the charge fine.

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Firstly. Are you using the same iPod cable to connect to the wall charger as to the computer? If you're using two different cables, one may be faulty - try the other cable.
If you're using the same cable then it sounds like your iPod is faulty. I would take it to an Apple Service Center and have them chick it for you.
NOTE: In preference re-check the automatic syncing option as that is why the iPod does not sync when connected.

I Phone 5/I Tunes sync problem

My husband just purchased an I Phone 5. When he tries to sync his music from I Tunes on his Windows computer, some of his songs have an exclamation point next to them and when you click on that it says:
"The song, "blah, blah, blah" could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?"
We can't seem to figure this out. Help, please!

Can't get rental to sync from comp to iphone

Help! I rented a movie from iTunes, and it shows up in the rented movie section. When I click on the video tab for the iPhone, the movie doesn't show up. When I sync the phone, the movie doesn't transfer. Any ideas?

I upgraded to iphone 4. When sync to comp. Comp. asked to upgrade. I did. I tried to open itunes and it failed. Quick Time error 2096. I went through severals procedures. Finally could open itune. Pluged phone in comp it will charge but wont sync

I am not one to give up. So I called AT&T today. Now they are telling me they canceled my order because they were unable to fulfill my order. Basically, AT&T told me they sold out so they canceled my order so I can proceed to reorder again. It took them 4 days to realize this. I will be lucky if I get a new phone by Christmas. I am sure they will find a way to cancel my order again.
Again, I argued, how is this my fault. I placed my order at the store around 11 a.m. Pacific time. My friend ordered his phone online sometime after me. He got his but my order was canceled. AT&T tried to explain to me that they sold over 600,000 phones, almost 500 per minute during there peak. Again, I asked, how this was my fault.
I can understand over selling the phone. It is a great product. There is no reason to cancel my order. You adjust my order and tell me you will let me know when my phone will be in. I would have been mad that my phone was going to be late but I would have survived. At least I would be getting one.
At this point, I have no order and AT&T or Apple website will allow me to order one. I just want to get in the QUEUE for one.
Frustrated.

Connect the iPhone to your computer, launch iTunes.
Select the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window in the Sidebar.

All you can do with a Windows system from ARD is observe and control. For that, you'll need to install a VNC server on the Windows system. If you search this forum for "VNC", you should find suggestions on software that people have had success/failures with.

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Not to mention the fact that pdf docs sync via iTunes and not iCloud..???
Not to mention that the initial document has to be inserted on the Mac for sync to work.

I tunes from 1 comp to a Laptop

Please forgive my ignorance of the following possibly "silly" question. Is it possible & if so how do i get my i tune downloads from my desktop onto my Laptop. I need to basically reboot my desktop back to factory settings & don't want to loose all my downloads........ Help would be much appreciated.

If they are both on your home network, you can set up networking (see the windows helps tutorials), turn on file sharing (another tutorial walkthrough) and transfer the files.
You could also copy everything to an external hard drive.
Assuming you have the default itunes setup, you need to copy the entire username/music/itunes folder.
Don't forget to deauthroize your PC before reinstalling the OS.
