I-tunes wont download podcast or purchased music

After upgrading i-tunes and getting the crazy spinning i-con i managed to sort that problem but ever since i cant download any podcasts or purchase music i get a message reading your are not connected to the internet or the url is incorrect etc etc. Anyone any ideas?

I keep getting the same error message when trying to subscribe to a podcast or purchase music from the i-tunes store saying you have entered a wrong url and you are not connected to the internet when i cam check and listen to the songs on the store or play the podcast! I need anyone to help get i-tunes back to recognize its on-line to sort this problem out.

Can't download podcasts or purchased music

I am no longer able to download or uopdate my podcasts ( error message: you don’t have enough privileges for this operation) or I get a dotted circle that never moves where the usual circling arrow show download in progress. I tried purchasing and downloading a song from the itunes store. That did not work either. The song shows up at the end of my purchased music list with that same dotted circle. No downloads happening. Could working with itunes match have caused this?

There isn't a limit to how many times an item can be redownloaded, the only limit is how long the item remains in the store (rights-holders occasionally remove their items) - and some items (audiobooks and ringtones) are one-time only downloads. I had a problem downloading updates to some apps earlier today (my computer's iTunes kept getting stuck on 'processing' some of them so I had to close/re-open iTunes a number of time), so it might be a server issue.

I synced my Ipod to my new authorised computer but my new puchased Istore tunes dont download from the Purchased library to the Ipod?

I recently authorised my new computer and Synced my Ipod but new purchased tunes wont download from Purchased library to the ipod. I have preferences set to automatic download when connected as well. Any ideas?

If transferring the purchases is not working for you, then try just going to the iTunes Store and looked in the Purchases section to get your songs and other media downloaded. Check out the article below for more information.

- Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck
If they are still available and listed in your Puchase History then contact iTunes

I'm glad I was able to help. I kind of wish mine hadn't worked because I ended up being one of the "lucky" individuals where my phone didn't restore from the backup and I lost all of my contacts, calendar appts, notes, etc. It took me an extra 2 hrs last night to rebuild the next month worth of appts and try to rebuild my contact list from my yahoo contacts. Oh well. I will be getting an android at my next upgrade. I'm tired of all of the BS that comes with owning an iPhone.

Download family member purchased music to my computer

Hey,
I've set up family sharing for my family's devices, me acting as the family organizer.
Recently, my sister purchased a music album and I wanted to download this album. As for downloading it to my iPhone, everything was slick but when i tried to get it to my MacBook, iTunes stated that there is no purchased music available to download.
Am I missing something?

I understand that there is an album purchased by a member of your Family Sharing group that you would like to download on your Mac. Please read over the attached information to ensure that sharing is set up correctly and for information on how to access Family Sharing purchases from iTunes.
Sharing purchased content with Family Sharing - Apple Support
Mac with OS X Yosemite
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click iCloud.
Click Manage Family.
Click your name and review your account information next to Family Purchases.
Make sure that "Share my purchases" is selected.
Mac with OS X Yosemite
Open the iTunes, iBooks, or Mac App Store and go to the Purchased page.
Select a family member's name to view their content.
Download or play the items that you want.

IPod Touch wont download podcasts anymore

Up until last Friday I would download my daily podcasts directly to my iPod Touch(Third Generation) via wifi connection by clicking on the "Get More Episodes" link at the bottom of each podcast list in my music folder on my ipod. For some reason it has stopped listing the newest episodes for all of my podcasts, even when I look up them in iTunes on my iPod. Has this been happening to anyone else? Any solutions? Has Apple changed something to disable this ability? The "Get More Episodes" link is still listed under each podcast.

Some of these problems do not seem to be the same. Here is the problem I am experiencing, which I believe to be the same problem the original poster listed:
I used to be able to download podcasts directly to my first-generation iPhone. Now, when i go to one of my favorite podcasts and click on "Get More Episodes...," no episodes are listed. Instead, what I see is the number of reviews, the star rating, and "More from this provider."
The only thing I recall doing that might have affected this is disconnecting the payment account from my iTunes account, but when I linked it back up it didn't fix the problem, so I'm not sure what caused this, nor do I know how to fix it.
I tried synching, and that did not fix it either.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I also had system issues a couple of weekends ago. I had to restore my computer. Once complete I reinstalled iTunes and then set all of my backup files in place (I back up my iTunes folder everytime I purchase something). The problem is, everytime I click on anything I purchased, movie or song, it tells me I am not authorized on this computer. I also am using just one computer and have been using the same one for the last couple of years. I attempted to deauthorized my system by following the instructions here in the forum plus instructions found on the site. After aproximatly 30 minutes I gave up on entering my user name and password over and over and over again. Do you know of anything else I can try? Thank you for the assistance:-)

I cannot download previously purchased music to my library through the itunes. It doesn't show the dowloading cloud but a price again as if I never had purchused the music. Can somebody please help me?!

Make sure you are using the Same Apple ID that made the Original Purchase.

My primary audio library is kept on the PC, my video on my Mac. On occasion, when I would select a purchased audio track to play, iTunes would prompt me to authorize it. Interestingly, my networked Mac could play the same audio track successfully. Conversely, the same problem would occur on my Mac if I downloaded a Stanford track there. Of course, if I connected my iPod, all the purchased tracks would be deleted from the iPod.
After some testing I determied the cause was downloading tracks from iTunes.Stanford.edu
I'd read a story about the free downloads of lectures, speeches and some music from iTunes.Stanford.EDU. Some really great stuff; however, for some reason, those free downloads are triggering iTunes to de-authorize my purchased music. Its no big deal as long as I re-authorize before plugging in my iPod.
Have reported it thru the formal channels

Interestingly you do not have to be logged into your iTMS account to dl those tracks - nevertheless after a download in any case all authorizatins will get deleted.

i got a nano last yr for xmas. this yr i got a newer 30gb ipod. i have itunes 6 and it works for my old ipod but it wont work for the new ipod. the new i pod says i need itunes 7.0 but it wont download. i save itunes and when i press the setup icon it wont work. i have been trying to use this ipod for 3 weeks now and it wont work. what am i to do????????? do they send out itunes 7.0 on a disc????

You should get an install disc along with your new iPod - if iTunes 7 is required, it will be on that disc.
