Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
When you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

You do a restore as new to wipe the iPhone then at the end of restore you will be asked to restore from backup. Choose your iPhone backup.
Note you cannot restore an IOS newer than the IOS on iPhone, you need to update iPhone first. -

In order to sign out of your iCloud account that had a ID change, you would need to change the account back to the original. The reason for that is probably due to the Find my device feature and it needs to verify and if that iCloud account does not exist because of the name change and you cannot sign out. Changing it back is pretty easy and should not ask you to verify but once you change it and sign out, you can change it back to what you want it to be. Yesterday, after discovering that the email address I used as my Apple ID was about to be deleted, I used my iPad to update my Apple ID to a new one. Everything went fine, until I moved on to my iPhone, which is still asking me for the password for my OLD Apple ID. I can't work out how to tell either my iPhone or my Macbook that this one is out of date and get them to change to the new one. iTunes is changed, but the settings aren't. Can anyone help me please?
You haven't stuffed it, you just haven't signed out, so do that now, everywhere your old ID appears needs to be signed out of.
Any variant of "Find My" (phone/mac/pad etc) that's signed in should be signed out.

Shared Apple ID has become a problem and I can't figure out how to be unshared.
Originally, there was iTunes and the iPod. We had one computer with the music on it, and the iPods were all connecting to that single iTunes account, all with a single Apple ID. Then came the iPhone, which needed an iTunes account to set up, update, etc. So of course, we just continued to use the same iTunes account and Apple ID.
Jump ahead a few years to the present, 5 iPhones (5 users), 3 iPads, a couple iPods, 3 mac book pros, and Apple TV and a mac, and they are all still using the same Apple ID. It was fine, even ideal, as I could control the content on the kids iDevices and we could all share apps. Now, with iCloud, FaceTime, and Messaging, it is becoming very apparent that we all should have our own Apple ID. Fine. So....
How does one set up a new Apple ID and not loose all that has happened? Meaning progress in games, access to music, etc.? It feels like that as Apple has improved upon its offering, all great, it has not thought out how it effects a family. While it would be a good shot in the arm of the economy to make 4 of the 5 family members buy everything again, that should not be the only practical option.
Is there another?I had the same issue, and good news is, it can be easily solved by creating an iCloud account.
First, sign out of your Apple ID on the device you choose. Create a new Apple ID but this time choose the "@iCloud.com" option. Create an account for each device.
Step 2, for the App Store, use the shared Apple ID. But for iCloud, sign in with each individual iCloud account. This way, you'll be able to back-up each device alone while still have one unified ID for your App Store purchases.
To sign in using your new individual iCloud account, go to each device's settings and sign in to iCloud from the iCloud tab in settings.
Hope this helps, feel free to ask if you're still unsure! This way you can use your iCloud ID for GameCenter, backup, etc while maintaining a shared Apple ID for purchases. -

HT5621 d is still registering the old ID and I can't work out how to change my icloud Apple ID.
I have changed my out Apple ID for a new one. This has been successful for iTunes etc but not for iCloud. I can't seem to work out how to change my account which is the email address used for my old Apple ID.
To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted (if using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I recently had to change my apple id. I have 2 Iphones on one of them the user id still comes up as my old email adress and i can't get it to chage to my new Id. What do I need to do? Synching has not worked.
Purchases are tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with for eternity... or until Apple provides a way to change the ID.
Regardless, if you want to change the Apple ID the device is logged in with, Settings > Store > Select ID > Sign Out. Then sign in with the new ID. -
I have an iPod mini library which I have update. I now have an iPhone 4S which I have synced to the library using a MS XP computer. I can not figure out how to get the library to download to my iPhone?
Thanks, This caused me to go back and try again since the solution seemed so simple. What I did was when it started downloading, it started with the iphones apps to my computer. I did not want the apps downloaded on my computer so I stopped it. If I would have waited, the music was uploaded right after the apps were downloaded.

What version are you currrently on (Settings > General > About > Version) ? If you are already on iOS 5+ then you should have a Settings > General > Software Update option on the iPad which will allow your to update directly on the iPad - if you are on iOS 4 then you can only update it by connecting to your computer's iTunes (you can also update via your computer's iTunes even if you already on iOS 5+).
To update via your computer, connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases - you may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
You can then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button.

Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

The Time Capsule was designed for your backups.
If you move a file to the Time Capsule drive and delete the file from your Mac.....you have no backup.
Your only copy of the file will be on the Time Capsule drive. I would only do this with files that I could afford to lose.
All drives fail. When.....not if....the Time Capsule drive has a problem, you will lose your data. -

I'm staying at my house in Peru, South America. From my PC laptop I can see my neighbor's wifi service network, but I also have my mini iPad and I can not figure out why I can't get any wifi connection from my area. Is there a setting I need to do?
Yes, I did try to go on my settings>wifi and was waiting for any wifi signals to pick up, but nothing shows up. But on my PC I get a whole list of networks to choose from. Regarding my neighbor, I already have her password that is why I was able to get it on my PC, the problem is that the mini Ipad is not picking any signal neither can it locate me when I go to maps.
