I updated my ipod(2gen)to the 4.3 update and now its on recovery mode a nd i tryed restoring it but error 9 keeps poping up?
I recently updated my ipod touch with the new 4.3 update, and when it was done every thing i had was erased and i backed up the ipod before i updated .also it in recovery mode and it has the connect to itunes logo on it.I tryed restoring it but it keeps saying error 9 each time i tryed .I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In you case, the only way is to use data recovery app to get back your lost photos, so the chance is uncertain. It depends on how smart the app it's. The good news is that most of the apps allow you to try them out. You can test them out by yourself. The steps are:
Install data recovery app on your computer
connect your iPhone and allow the app scan iphone
display scanning result
choose local folder to store recovered items
You can choose to recover your photos from local disk, iTunes backup or icloud. More details can be found out here. -

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

looks like the gtk theme is not the problem. didnt really think it was, but the documentation was worth posting. the guys over at ubuntu look as though they have dealt with this in great detail, and have produced a few solutions, which may or may not work. i have decided to post these for anyone else who may have these problems.

judging by a google search on this problem and the number of responses that came up, the bonobo/daemon error is quite a common curse for the users of gnome, although much more common in distros such as ubuntu or fedora.
i hope that this proves useful and if anyone has anything to add, please feel free. the more documentation the better.

another solution would be to remove gnome and reinstall it from scratch. (some please tell me if i am doing this correctly. thanks )
1. clean your catch:
pacman -Scc
2. remove gnome, gnome extras, and whatever other gnome files you might have installed
pacman -Rscn gnome gnome-extra etc...
3. reinstall gnome and gnome extras
pacman -Sy gnome gnome-extra
4. reconfigure your desktop the way you want.

It's too late now to worry about not having backed up. You have to restore the iPad or .....
A. You can have a device that still has all of the photos on it but you can't get to them because the device doesn't work
or.....
B. You can restore, lose the photos and have a functioning device again. -

My 4th generation ipod nano is frozen of thealnguage screen. I have tried to restore it but it keeps getting frozen on that same screen. My wheel is unresponsive. I have also reset it with no results.
Do I need to have it repaired and if so is it cheaper to just buy a new one?Depends on how much you are willling to spend on repairs as well as where you decide to send it in for repairs. Apple won't actually repair the iPod but instead will swap it out for a refurbished unit of the same generation and capacity. So it would be a bit cheaper to send it to a 3rd party repair center who will actually swap out the damaged/faulty parts.

Tried updating to iOS 7 and now stuck in Recovery Mode!
Hi All!
This morning I went to update my iphone 4S to iOS 7 and stopped it while it was verifying the update by turning off the phone and then back on (just changed my mind to updated at that time). When I finally went back to do the update it started up with the verifying update message and pretty quickly it went into recovery mode saying to connect iTunes. iTunes says it will erase my data and do the update and then re-install some of my previous data but the question is... Will it re-install all my data even if I haven't recently backed up my iphone?
If it won't restore everything then how do I get out of this recovery mode?? I tried by pressing the home and power button until the apple logo came on but it went straight back to recovery mode!
Please help! Freaking out!I may have fixed the issue. The errors in device manager were a driver error apparently windows didnt have appropriate drivers installed to allow itunes to recognize a device in recovery mode. I followed the paths in the guide above in more detail using this path ( http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 under if device not recognized while in recovery mode) to alleviate the issue update is now installing appropriately ( i hope).
I will update if everything works correctly
