I updated my itouch and now all of my apps are gone

I have updated my itouch to version 4.2 and now all of my apps are gone. I have sync'ed the ipod to my pc, but my apps didn't show back up on my itouch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is possible that you accidently pressed 'restore' and not 'update' in which case the iPod Touch was restored to original software and the apps were not synced back on as you probably did not restore from backup (if you had a backup). Make sure that iTunes thinks it should sync apps as trrlightning suggested, and check to see if you are able to download apps onto the device wirelessly using the App Store App.

What cloud service or contact manager was she syncing them to? They should still be there and she should be able to sync them back. If she was not doing so, they are gone.

I had the same problem on my iphone 4s and before I had realized it my phone synced up with my computer and deleted all the appointments in my outlook calendar as well. I run microsoft exchange and unfortunately my ISP doesnt backup for me so I am left reconstructing my calendar from scratch. Apple support said they had no idea why this had happened and couldnt help me. Not very reassuring.

Do you see a file Music/iTunes/iTunes Library.itl ? If so, there's your playlists. Hold down the option key while starting iTunes and guide it to that file.
If that files is gone, do you have other content in your iTunes folder, in particular media and or a file ending in .xml or backup files? Depending upon what you see you can probably recover your lists.
It is always a good idea to back up before installing new software. Some day your hard drive will die and nothing (except maybe $2000+) will recover it.

If you used a remove personal settings option from Windows or Firefox,you may well have permanently lost those bookmarks.
* Undelete<br>If you did that then timely use of a file undelete utility and a good helping of luck are likely to be required to attempt recovery (probably best to stop using

*Your Own Backups<br>You could have a backup system in place that backs up such files or the firefox profile, and you may be able to use that.

Mozilla suggested I reset firefox to fix slowness and now all of my bookmarks are gone.

It took quite a while for firefox to start up when I clicked the icon and then there was a message from mozilla/firefox suggesting I reset firefox and that all of my bookmarks, cookies, etc would be saved. After the reset, I don't have 1 bookmark. So far the only thing this computer now recognizes is my sign-on so that I could ask this question.

Never mind. It must have just taken a while because now they are all there (weird because it took about 45 min.) Please disregard this question.

Litterly 15 Mins ago all of my music was present. I - in fact - just finished using it to play a song. Then I got a window that popped up saying that my iTunes is in need of an update. So I update it then it said it was all up to snuff...

My Calendar synced to the cloud and now all but three months are gone! How do I get the rest back?

I upgraded to the new iso and all was fine last night. Over night, I guess my phone must have been backed up to the cloud and when I got up this morning, everything but three months was missing!
I did a manual sync before I updated to my computer will it still be there? How would I recover it?

You should be importing all pics taken with iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera, particularly before any update or restore.
If you have failed to do this, then they are likey gone.
You can try restoring from backup.

Your contacts are available with your iCloud online address book - when you log in with your iCloud account via webmail access using a browser on your computer, your contacts are available there?
