I updated the IPAD with the latest update and now when I turned the IPAD on, I get the itunes logo and then nothing else. How can I fix this to let me use my IPAD?

YOU ARE IN RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

plug your iphone into your computer with your itunes account signed in to update it, (if you want your own apps ect.) if all you want to do is change accounts signed in on the iphone than simply open settings and scroll down until you see itunes and app stores touch the apple id tip top and signout, sign yourself in. any apps she has "purschased" that you have not.. i imagine will just cease to work.
if you both share the same contacts, it won't be a big deal, however if you have work and her shcools numbers ect, and she just has mom/dad/buddies you may have double numbers and apps and what not by doing this, so if it does become a mess.. just get on itunes log into your account by clicking the store menu in itunes and going down to the account id on the bottom of that menu and just restore your phone.

Restart your phone,hold the home button and the off button down till the apple symbol comes up. If that doesnt fix it , you need to do a restore in itunes by connecting to itunes , click on your phones name to the left, then click restore in the center of the screen and restore from backup.

Sounds like something internal was damaged in the fall, probably the disk drive. Take to Apple and ask them to fix it.

Connect the iPod to its syncing computer and restore via iTunes. If iTunes asks for the passcode and you can't enter the passcode or yu do not have the syncing computer, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode see:

Deauthorizing all is definitely the way to go. You will just need to authorize your computer again after, as well as your husband's.

I can't pause downloads in the download window. The button is there but pressing it does nothing. How can I fix this??

I would first update to the latest version of Firefox & attempt to pause the download as you stated to verify if this resolved the issue.

That article is a bit dated. Here is a recent post I assembled for a similar question, with more updated information:
Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. So, I looked at my iTunes library and realized that i had a rather small amount of music on it, while i have a rather large amount of music on my iPod. I don't know where all my music went on my computer, and I have no clue how it isn't there. When I sync my iPod it doesn't transfer my music back or even give me the, "We found some music on your iPod that is no longer in your library, would you like to transfer these songs?"

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good. If your computer/iTunes does not recognize the iPad, then the cable is probably bad.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I downloaded the latest version of Mozilla Firefox yesterday, full and complete, and I am actually using it right now. The only problem I have had is upon clicking any YouTube video, the box pops up saying "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (rtsp) isn't associated with any program." But there are no directions or suggestions on how to address this problem. Ive looked at YouTube add-ons and none of them really seem related. Upon the finish of the new Mozilla, I also was prompted to upgrade the flash player, and did so without any trouble. I am only guessing this is an extension/plug-in problem. I really am quite confused!
