Well the answer I gave you didn't solve the problem. Is the USB cable and the iTunes logo still on the iPod screen? You could start the "fixing process" by rebooting your computer, connect the iPod again, launch iTunes and see if anything happens.

TOOLS > OPTIONS > GENERAL tab
Under Start-up at the top of GENERAL, you have an option to type in the url or use the tabs to set your homepage to the current page.
Go to your chosen site, open OPTIONS and click 'Use current page.'

I just bought my iphon last night & tried doing it`s first update this morning. I got an error message that the update failed & now my iphone only shows a pic of a usb cable with an arrow pointing to the itunes logo.
I already tried holding down the on off buton & the home button like the instructions say. Problem is that when the instructions say I should be at the part where itunes is again recognizing my iphone, my itune is not recognizing my iphone. So I am stuck. I follow the instrustions, but the resluts are different, so I can`t continue to the next step. Very frustrated, as the nearest Apple store is over an hour`s drive away.Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer. Hold both home and power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Restore the Firmware. If the process Errors again, write down the error message and error #, on paper so you can solve the problem. If there are serious problems, all iPhone 4S have full warranty coverage with Apple.

When I open itunes it freezes for a few seconds then says iTunes stopped working and closes down. I have tried downloading the latest version, both repair and remove and it still keeps happening

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.

I just downloaded the latest version of FF and now I can't send messages via hotmail.
On April 6th, 2011 I downloaded the latest version of FF and shortly thereafter I found that I could not send mail from my hotmail account. I can receive, edit, read etc. I can do most everything EXCEPT send. I can, however, send mail from IE so it is definitely something within the new FF.
Yup I experienced the same problem. My workaround was to throw out the latest version and go back to iTunes 10.5. I'm on a Mac so the problem is on both PC and Mac platforms. Hard to believe that this software got released with such a serious problem.

The latest version of iPhoto - 9.5.1 - requires MacOS X 10.9.x. Is it possible to upgrade your Mac to Mavericks? Then you can buy the latest iPhoto from the AppStore.
If your Mac does not support Mavericks, you could upgrade to iPhoto 9.4.3, see: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1650 , but this version is no longer availbale from the AppStore. Buy a boxed retail version of iPhoto '11 from Amazon or eBay, and then update it from the support page http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1650 . -
1. Did the plugin check on June 10th -- got the message that Acrobat Reader plugin for Firefox and Netscape was an outdated version. Pressed the Update button on the page and was taken to the Adobe site.
2. Downloaded the latest version, AdbeRdr1001_en_US.exe, and then ran the executable locally on the PC. The update completed normally. Note: I did not unistall the old Acrobat reader before running the executable.
3. Went back to the plugin check page and I still received the outdated message for that plugin. Have rebooted system (i.e. the next day) and repeated the check, with the same results.
4. Have opened Acrobat Reader application, pressed Help and then Check for Updates -- no new updates were found. Have run the Mozilla test (Mozilla Privacy Policy PDF) without any issues.
5. What is the plugin version that should be registered on my PC within the Add-ons Manager?
6. Please advise on the appropriate steps.I think there is a bug in Plug-in check. It happened to me as well in the last few days. There's no newer version of Adobe Reader that I know of. Anyway, Adobe is going to release a patch next Tuesday, maybe that'll fix this bug.
