I upgraded my 2009 Macbook to Yosemite last night. On Lion my wifi was perfect. Now my macbook does not recognize my wifi. As a matter of fact, I can't even turn on the wifi. Can anyone help me?

Open the Network preference pane and delete the Wi-Fi connection from the list on the left, if it's present. Then add it back. If there is no Wi-Fi connection, just create one.

Are you sure u have the option on the up-right side of the arrange window checked to x-fade?

There was away (before Mavericks) I could single click on an email and it would highlite but not open. I could either delete or second click and the email would then open. Can anyone tell me how to configure the prevue pane to that end with Mavericks?

There was a way (before Mavericks) I could single click on an email in the "prevue pane" and it would highlite but not open. I could then either delete it or click again and it would open. With Mavericks that doesn't seem to be available making it impossible to delete an email in the prevue pane before I open it. Its frustrating to have to go through all the monkey motions when I know I want to delete it from the get-go. Does anyone know who to configure for that operation? I'm using an iMac.

I run TWO programs for protection of my MAC now and have been for sometime b/c developers of them become complacid thinking MAC is impermeable.
My MAC locked me out of it and two externals and when I finally did get back into them Norton Anti-Virus found a "worm." When I asked the program to find the origin, it was traced back to an email, as you said, that I opened unintentionally. I still have two external HDs for backup and a cloud backup now.
When ClamX ran after Norton was finished, ClamX found what it called as "spyware," and it's origin was in my email also. I tried to delete the emails after the programs (both) identified the infected files, however once deleted and the computer is restarted, they were still there because I ran the scans again.
Now since we are no longer talking about how to turn on and off the view pane in apple mail; riddle me this, why can't the developers of these antivirus and antispyware/malware programs get together and develop ONE PRODUCT that catches 90-95% of the viruses/worms/spyware/malware ect that get onto MAC's? Is it because they are too busy thinking they don't exist?

I had to wipe my MAC and do a fresh install to get it working again, then I had to open one of those externals (which was very, very difficult) multiple times until finally it displayed the message "you can view, but not change the data." I exported as much as I could to my cloud and I had to format both of those too.

If it happens again, which my hope is that it won't, I will be more than happy to send the infected files to you!!
Try not to "forum rage." Support forums to post experiences and find answers, not nit-pick or claim not existance b/c you have not experienced it for yourself.

You might profit from a visit to a Minneapolis Apple store. With a brand new Mac, I think they will be most helpful - not just with transferring files, but with other advice as well. And I strongly recommend you invest in a back up drive. The Apple folk can help with that as well.

Usually when someone mentions "passowrd" in a posting it will not be related to an Adobe product but to the machine that you are trying to implement some installation or update for. I would try to reset all the settings in Mail, Preferences, Accounts (outgoing and incoming servers) according to your mail providers specs.

I am totaly confused by eircom and efibre.......last year I was in arrears with eircom to the tune of( as I thought) of €357.66and I was disconnected but in the long run I got a huge bill in my door of €656.48 , when I had to the money to pay the original amount, I was put through to efibre who told me that remaining amount of €298.77 shouldnt have been on my account and they would take it off I was also given a new account and phone number. I have now got several bills from my old account plus a letter from a company called BCW (debt collectors) who are treathening to take legal proceeding against me...... can anyone tell me how do I get my old account information and that conversation I had that day??

Thanks Tracey,I got a letter from the debt collectors BCW on Thursday to say if I didn't respond to that letter within 5 days they were going to take legal proceeding against me. 10 minutes from receiving the letter I got a call from BCW to say that eircom had been in touch with them to say the issue has been resolved and that I don't owe the money,I am now waiting on a letter from BCW to tell me same so as I have it in writing. That .itl file actually is the library -- at least the critical part of it although the library is actually many files and folders.
Try starting iTunes and immediately hold down the option key. When it asks, guide it to the .itl file.
It's really hard to say without being able to poke around your computer. Upgrading should not delete the old library, but still it happens to the very, very few which is why we make backups before updating. If the old library file is gone then so are your playlists. You can always see if the following is of any use:

I ordered by telephone and changed from BT Total Broadband to BT Infinity option 1 with the 2MB upload cap and 40GB Usage...
I added an uplift for Anytime UK landilne calls as I had that with my old BT broadband but the new Infinity only offered weekend.
(They now include evening).
There is the other Unlimited Infinity option to consider as well.... all info on that website above.
