I use Photoshop CS6 installed from a serial number, but suddenly won't open and prompts me to renew Cloud membership

I installed Photoshop CS6 through hardware/serial number last year, and suddenly when I try to open up the application, the adobe application manager for Cloud pops up and says I need to renew my subscription, but I'm not using cloud. I did *used* to have Photoshop CC on this computer but not for months, and I've uninstalled all that software. Why can't I open my CS6?

Just answered that one a few hours ago: Ive got photoshop CS6 in my computer but when I tried to open it, it opened as Photoshop CS6 Extended and is asking me if I want to license this software so I can no longer access Photoshop. Can anyone help at all?
You should see a prompt to "License this Software". You might see it on the Trial Screen.
Click on that, sign in if asked, then click on the "I have a serial number" option or you maybe able to do that directly.
Once your serial number is entered, your software is licensed and activated.

If the code you are trying to enter has letters then you are not looking at a serial number. A serial number only contains numbers - 6 sets of 4 numbers.
Find your serial number quickly
You might be dealing with a redemption code. This is especially so if you purchased it from a store or the like.

You haven't mentioned which version of PSE. If it is PSE 13, that requires a minimum of windows 7.

Have you run the iPhoto Library Upgrader? You need to direct it to the location of your old iPhoto Library by clicking the "Choose Library" button in the lower right corner of the panel you are seeing when the upgrade starts.

If you don't need the changes saved then you can force quit the word app. On the menubar, cick the  > Force quit > select word.

Help! Bought Lightroom today, have a serial number, but no option to download and english version. What the what?!

Okay so I bought the student edition of Lightroom today, I'm waiting for them to approve me and what not. When I go to look at my order it gives me the option to download. But when I open the downloads screen it says Product: Adobe Lightroom 5: Enlgihs, then it gives me a serial number but no option to download. Below that it gives me two options for multiple languages for mac and PC and has a download option, but no serial number! I don't understand. Please clarify.

I am trying to install a trail for InDesign CC to finish a project soon. I downloaded Creative Cloud, the app is in my folder, but it won't open and when I try to download InDesign an error pops up saying Adobe is trying to install malware.

I just installed Creative Cloud in order to download a trial for InDesign. I have the app icon for CC, but it won't open. When it was in my toolbar (on a mac) it just sat there loading for about 15 minutes. I tried restarting it but it won't open at all now. I also tried downloading an InDesign trail and it won't open at all. When I click for it to download an error message pops up saying Adobe is trying to instal malware and asks me if I want to continue. When I say yes, it doesn't do anything. I have a brochure that needs to go to the client by 4pm today! EEK!

Sydneybling it does sound like your security software is interfering with the process of installing and utilizing your Adobe Creative applications. I would recommend that you try temporarily disabling your security software and utilizing the directions listed at Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html to install InDesign CC.

I am trying to Re-install CS5 and when going to use Photoshop, I have my original Serial Number and it will not let me activate the Software on a new hard drive.

Why is Adobe making us jump so many hoops just to re-install software?

So let me get this right..... I Pay for Creative Suite 5.   I have my original discs and serial number. I still have the entire box it came in.   I simply need to re-install the product.   I can not use Photoshop because it can not be activated via phone or online. I am supposed to just in a chat page and you are put in a cue with "We are still assisting other customers, thank you for your patience. Okay I am getting very panicky now as I have joined creative cloud and submitted payment and spent the whole morning waiting for it to download photoshop CS6 and it still comes up with 'enter serial number' - I have a project to finish today which isn't helping. As far as I am aware I have uninstalled the trial version I had installed. Is there anything I am missing or that I could check - I am using a macbook pro - any help will be very greatfully received, this is not a great start to my 12 month contract!

Mac OSX Photoshop CS6 keep asking for serial number

Hi, I don't know why, but since few days ago, my photoshop CS6 started to pop up with the trial message and ask me to enter serial number. However, I'm on a one year subscription for photoshop CS6 only, there is no serial number.
I opened the software, and choosed "lincese this software" and then signed in with my adobe ID. After that, the message ask me for serial number. This didn't happen before.

Now it says I only have one day for the trial. Please help me to resolve this.

@CKPAD.co - The Adobe ID you are using to post here has never signed up for the Creative Cloud, not even a free/trial account. Are you using a different Adobe ID for a Creative Cloud subscription? If not this would be the correct behavior. The 30 day trial ends and you can either puchase a perpetual license (serial number) or a Creative Cloud subscription.

Photoshop CS6 keeps asking for serial number

I installed Photoshop CS6 x64 on a 64 bit Win 7 machine. Every time I start it, it says trial will expire in 0 days and lets me put in my license number or continue trial. I can do either and use the software. This has been occurring for multiple days. I installed the x32 version on the same machine. I only needed to put in the license number once and it works fine. What can I do to get the x64 version working correctly?

Please check your host file and try to activate again:
Reset the hosts file:
Windows:
Choose Start > Run, type %systemroot% \system32\drivers\etc, and then press Enter.
Right-click the hosts file and select Open. Select Notepad for the application to open the hosts file.
Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.
Search the hosts file for entries that reference activate.adobe.com (for example, 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.
Save and close the file.
Mac OS
Log in as an administrator to edit the hosts file in Mac OS.
In a Finder window, choose Go > Go To Folder.
Type /etc.
Select the hosts file and open it.
Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.
Search the hosts file for entries that reference activate.adobe.com (for example, 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.
Save and close the file.
If still the same issue then try updating Application Manager: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud, launch CS6 and enter the key when prompted and let us know whether it worked.

If you did not purchase the software from Adobe you can also register your software on http://www.adobe.com/. This will help confirm that the serial number you received is valid.
