A Mac with OSX 10,5.8 should synce but not restore with iTunes version 10.6.3

To restore you need iTunes 10.7 or later and that requores OSX 10,6,8 or later

Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card.

Thank you very much for your help. Now, I was able to install the update (Adobe Photoshop 12.0.4 update for Adobe Photoshop CS5, Mac). But I couldn’t mark the answer as correct. I didn’t find the „correct“ button.

OK, here's the Windows version of the update:

and for Mac:

Of course, ignore the idiotic recommendation that appears there to try to use Help > Updates. We already know that doesn't work.

You probably need to move your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER from your PC to your MAC...

Just reinstalled iPhoto and now it won't open the photos I saved on CDs

I recently had a major hard drive crash and had to get a new hard drive. I was so glad that I had all my photos backed up on CDs. But when I reinstalled the software, I can't get iPhoto to open the CDs. I get a message that says the photo libraries were made using a newer version of IPhoto. The only version I have is the version that came with the computer which was iLife 05. I have not yet bought iLife 06 due to finances. The only thing I can think of is that there were updates to the 05 version that I had downloaded and now the original version will not open my files. I tried clicking on update the software, but all I got was an ad for 06. Is there any way to get the updates for 05 so I can get back to where I was before the hard drive gave out?

That's a bummer.
Here are the instructions for creating a new library. It will get you your photos back for now. Save the CDs in case a solution comes up.
Close iPhoto
Rename your messed up iPhoto Library to "iPhoto Library_old"
Drag this library to your desktop
Hold down the Option key and launch iPhoto
This is the window you will get
Create a new library or choose a library to open
Choose to create a new library
Once this new empty library is open it is time to import the images from your old library
Go to File>add to library
Navigate to the old library on your desktop and highlight it in the window, then click the "open" button.
iPhoto will start importing the images from your old library
This is what to expect:
Your images will be imported in nice dated rolls. (make sure your view is set to sort by rolls to see it) There are a couple of caveats to this. You will get rolls named "Originals" These rolls will contain your video clips and your original images that you had edited. If you had RAW files they would be in those rolls too (I don't do RAW, so I don't know for sure) Delete what you don't want from those rolls. You will also get the jpeg pointer files to your video clips imported. They will just be jpegs and will not point to the video clips anymore as iPhoto made new ones when the clips were imported again. You can delete those. they should be in a roll right next to the newly imported video clips so they are not hard to find. The thumbnail files don't get imported as iPhoto makes new ones when the images are imported.
Once all you images have been imported, check through the library and make sure everything looks ok.
You can now start making your Albums, and do your keywords or any other organizational steps.
You can also delete the old library on the desktop.
It is also a good time to backup this new library to CD/DVD by burning the iPhoto LIbrary folder in the Finder, or copying the iPhoto Library folder to an external drive formatted for Macs, or copying the iPhoto LIbrary folder to an iPod.

CS6 is 3 years old and no longer being updated, and CS5 is even older... so, as well as being on Windows, I have no idea what update could be "required" by your Mac

Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

HT4367 just bought an apple tv and updated it and now the light won't stop flashing... even after i tried to restore via itunes and all i got was a unknown error message... hey apple you guys have a fix for this?

I just got an apple tv and it dosen't work at all. I tried to use the home share feature with my iMac and both devices don't see each other, yet they are o the same network. I am not using a apple router. I tried updating the apple tv to see if that would resolve the issue but now the status light just blinks rapidly. I tried using itunes restore it but all i get is an unknown error. So with all of this said what is the fix apple?

Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.

Verify that access to ports 80 and 443 are allowed on your network.

I just downloaded the ios7 and now it won't let me update any of my apps it keeps takeing me out of the apple store than all the apps that need to be updated are not on the list anymore

Okay so basically this morning (20th November 2012) I turned on my iPhone and went onto the App Store to check for app updates which I do every morning, and there was an update for the Wikipedia app and another app, however... When I tried to update these apps, the password conformation box came up as usual and then the message saying the app was installing popped up. But this message disappeared instantly and nothing happened. When I try to download apps from the App Store, the exact same problem keeps happening. Sometimes after two or three tries an app will install but only occasionally. I have tried rebooting my iPhone but with no luck. I have over 11gb of memory left on my iPhone and my Internet connection is strong enough so I'm completely confused! Does anyone know a possible reason for this or maybe even a working fix... Also knowing someone else has this problem would be nice :)

Wi-Fi or Bluetooth grayed out

The new ios7 update I can't size my wallpapers anymore. They are all way too big for the screen. Before I would just pinch to size it however I wanted and now it won't do this anymore. Really ***** because now you can't see the wallpapers fully.

Yes you can delete those temporary files as long as you've saved any changes you've made back to the main document. So I'd open the document with the same name without the ~ and hidden file attribute and make sure it's the way you want it. Then you can delete the temporary file.
The key command you want to enlarge text in internet explorer holding down command and hitting the =/+ key. Conversely the command and - key makes text in internet explorer smaller.
