I'm on a Mac, and Lightroom comes up with "update available, download now", so I go to download it and find that actually it is a paid for upgrade. So I pay for it, and then have to wait days for Adobe to "confirm" the purchase. It the meanwhile the demo which downloaded itself is saying "trial period over" and said that immediately (i.e. no trial period). How do you get Adobe to respond? I can't get an answer?

    I just bought the CC membership (year plan, paid monthly) and was wondering whether the reason why the software is always detected as a trial version or a "needs license activation" version is because of this status of the plan details:
    We are still processing your order. It could take up to 24 hours. Please check back later.
    So basically I have to wait until the order is processed and then when I open, for example, photoshop, it shouldn't demand me for any license or push me into trial mode, right? I can't find an explanation for this, so thought I'd ask here.

    Thanks for coming back to this. Sadly I'm still getting the issue. I get two options: start trial or License this software. When I click License this software, it requests a serial number, which I obviously don't have because I have the membership.
    Any idea what is causing this?

    I have attempted twice now to pay for upgrading my photography package with creative cloud to include Illustrator. The first time was on 1/31 I got a message stating it would take 24 hours. A week later I'm still waiting so I attempt to get help via "chat". The Agent told me my payment did not go thru…..got a receipt telling me it was processing? I'm told to re-purchase.
    So I repurchase 2 days ago….again I get receipt saying accepted it will take 24hours.
    I would really like to finalize this as I"m getting behind in my class work. I'm getting pretty upset with with the whole process and lack of support at getting a resolution.
    I won't mean ion the whole customer support looping of "we need a few more details" so we can kick you back to the FAQ.
    Anyone have an solutions for resolution or why this keeps happening. My payment method is set up fine and adobe has no problem billing me monthly for my CC photography membership that they process on the first of every month. So it's not a payment issue.

    Yes I could call them, and I did. Just as I feared I spent 45 minutes on the phone. At the end of the phone call there is still no resolution. They do not know why I'm getting this outcome, but "someone" will call me in a few days.
    This is grand, so let me just say I have had to drop out of my class because I am now 16 days into this issue. I have not way to complete my class work. I am out the $120.00 for the class that I cannot participate in and still have a pending issue with Adobe.
    So 16 days later adobe is still "processing" my payment.

    I answered your questions in error.  I'm trying to find out another problem of my own on Elements 12, but I can tell you that unless you start with Elements 12 you will not be able to modify photographs in 13.  I've found that out the hard way.  I've lost my Elements 12 and am having a hard time downloading it back on to my system.  13 is useless without Elements 12 to back it up.  BOOoooo.  Trying to get a human to talk or chat to you in this system is a big problem at best.  Good luck!!

    I assume you get the NJ versions of those channels? 
    Networks pay for exclusive programming rights within specific markets. Cable operators are only allowed to offer a specific set of local channels within their designated media market (DMA).  If you aren't considered to be in the NYC market, then you aren't supposed to receive those channels.
    Like many in the DC area, I can pickup the Baltimore locals with an antenna, but I as I live in the DC DMA, those are the only channels I receive from Verizon, Comcast, DirecTV, etc.  Note there are circumstances where a customer might fall between two markets, living in an area with overlapping DMAs; in that case, the provider can choose to offer two different sets of locals.  Verizon FiOS does do that in some areas.

    Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

  • Why can I get 4k output from MSI Radeon HD 5450 on Win XP but not Win 7?

    A few months ago I bought a msi Radeon 5450 Graphics Card.
    I was surprised impressed that I could get 4k output (3840 x 2160) on my SEIKI monitor (via HDMI at 30Hz). This exceeds the specification!!!
    However, when I took this Graphics card from my Win XP box and put in Windows 7, I can't run at 4k. The highest resolution choice is 1920 x 1080.
    In Win XP, I just had to do "Detect Displays" in CCC and the 3840 x 2160 resolution would show up as a choice.
    But when I do "Detect Displays" in CCC in Windows 7, I don't get the 3840 x 2160 as a choice. I only get 1080 as a choice.
    I did notice the Catalyst Control Centre  (CCC) program between Windows XP and Windows 7 is different.
    The Win 7 PC, has an APU (not sure if that has any bearing).
    Can anyone advise what I can do?
