I've tried everything and still no response on Ipod

My duaghter has a Ipod mini, Pink in color. I plug it in and it says go to apple.com/ support for help. Did that ordered new battery and put it in and still ends up showing me a frown face and a battery that is not charging on the screen when I plug it in. tonight I found out that her friends over this weekend pluged in to our computer to download songs and their ipods are now frozen. I'm about ready to throw this thing in my lake out back. Sure would like to know if any body has any good ideas. Thanks, Shawn

That's a little odd and maybe there's a problem with your computer? There's also a pretty comprehensive post here about the sad iPod icon.
The sad iPod icon is one of the most difficult errors to cure as it usually means a hard drive problem.

Saying you tried everything isn't helpful. Perhaps describing in detail what you've done would allow people to better assist you.
If you're ever experiencing strange problems connecting to any wifi point you can always try resetting your network settings on your iPhone itself. This solves the majority of wifi problems.
To do this go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will clear all of your saved wifi hotspots and passwords, and hopefully solve your issue.
Please try this and respond with your results.

For those that have tried everything and still receive the USB Parent fatal error.
I have tried everything on these forums and spend several hours getting it working. Finally I got it to working and with the latest version.
Here is what I did:
1. Run Nokia PC Suite Cleaner (No reboot)
2. Run a search through windows drive (probably c for anything "Nokia" and deleted.
3. Run registry cleaner (CCleaner).
4. Took groa's advice and added registry entry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Wdf01005]
"SystemComponent"=dword:00000001
5. Checked through Add/Remove programs and deleted anything Nokia related.
6. Reboot computer.
7. Plugged in phone to charger.
8. Folled PC Suite installation and plugged in phone when prompted.
All drivers were installed successfully and phone is now recognized.
I hope this helps anyone that is still having this annoying problem.

*** I forgot to mention for step 3. I ran CCleaner for both Cleaner and Registry (making a registry backup). And lol I typo'd step 8. folled = followed.
For anyone else that doesn't know how to make a registry entry, here's how:
1. Make a new notepad file and add the following:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Wdf01005]
"SystemComponent"=dword:00000001
2. Save the file as X.reg (the X can be whatever).
Then you just click the file and import into your registry.

My Mother did what you said for the Spam and my number was in there about 100 times. She deleted all them. Deleted me as a contact and then rebooted, then she text me and I text her back and I went right into the Spam again. I told her to tell TMobile this so then can maybe help and remove my number from Spam on their end.\

I tried everything and still can't install-is there an executable?

I read all the posts in the shockwave forum and tried every
suggestion and it won't install. First, it was an endless loop of
always asking me to accept the active X control, click on the gold
bar, etc, back and forth. I tried accepting all cookies, turning
off my firewall, changing my security settings to downright
dangerous, and now there is nothing on the download page but that
blank box and I get one prompt to run an active x control and then
nothing. My time settings are correct, I uninstalled the old
version and now I have no shockwave at all, I have tried
everything! The only thing I haven't tried is uninstalling Flash
because I'm afraid if I do that I won't be able to reinstall that
either. When I go to the support page there is a link to download
an executable file but that just takes you back to the original
installation page and the same problems.
Please help me if you can! I'm getting gray hairs over this.
I know I always have problems installing shockwave when the new
version comes out but I can never remember how to do it. Why don't
you just put a link to a file you can download to your desktop and
install? Shockwave support team, are you there? I can't even figure
out how to contact Adobe support to get help other than this
forum.

I've tried everything and still my Firefox says it's still running.

I've tried restarting my computer, deleting Firefox and re installing, deleting the parent lock file, and it still wont open. I would love to have my Firefox back :(

You may have checked this, but since you didn't mention it: if you open the Windows Task Manager, can you find and terminate any instances of the firefox.exe process? Ctrl+Shift+Esc opens the Task Manager, then click the Processes tab. It's worth clicking the button to view processes started by other users just in case.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone and use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
You can also wipe the iOS device by installing the FindMyiPhone app on another iOS device and using that app to wipe the device.

Hello, I have trouble with downloading anything by adobe.com. I have done mainly everything. Well, my problem is, whenever I download a trial, I can finish and open Adobe Download Manager, but when I attempt to sign in to my account in Adobe Download Manager, it says: "Error communicating with adobe.com (Error 100) Check your network connection, and restart Adobe Download Manager." Cannot upload a website, it takes forever to load, some images will, some wont, then on the tab I get un undefined message. I have tried everything and still cant, even on IE.

getting undefined message, not sure what happened. I did clean out my add remove programs and am not sure if I deleted a java program or what, but went on java and uploaded the necessary software, still unable. Even tried the add ons..etc

It seems it doesn't matter as since update for my plug ins firefox as a whole as slowed way way down and running resources like crazy. Need to fix this. I have been checking around for answers and dont seem to find an easy solution or update to fix this so ff is fast again. It also doesnt seem to be just when on a page with flash on it. It slows all pages down. Once have like 3 pages / tabs open. Fast computer to so this should be fast as heck like it normally is. Thats one main reason for firefox. Cause it runs fast but now slow as can be as of 3 days ago. I updated flash, all plugins and extensions but still slow.
Anybody have any fixes for this and my like posted issue please share. I will be creating a thread myself on this as well so can post there to if dont mind.

Tried everything and still getting "service error"

After reading through and trying out a number of the proposed solutions to getting past the service error on the updater, I still am getting the same messages. Whenever I have my iPod plugged in to the computer and open iTunes, I get the "please reinstall iTunes" message because the software for communicating with the iPod isn't installed properly, or so it says. I have done all of the suggestions on the apple page for this problem, including the one that involves reinstalling the COM interface to no avail. I was just able to put the iPod into disk mode and when I plugged it back into the computer I saw the circling arrows in the top left-hand corner of the screen revolving but they disappeared for split seconds going on an off for about 20 seconds. Then when I opened the iPod updater, the arrows stopped while the updater was initializing and after a long wait i got the service error again. I have updated iTunes to the version 5.0.1 (whatever was available 10/5) and have the newest version of the updater (9/23/05). I do not have high speed usb, but i was under the impression that this was not crucial to making the iPod work. Can someone give me some way of fixing this problem?

well the problems started when i updated a while ago, i just haven't been in the country for quite some time. i have reset and i am not able to restore using the updater. I have done whatever i can by pushing the buttons on the ipod (reset, disk mode) and i've uninstalled itunes, deleted all the stuff i was supposed to and then reinstalled, but always had the same problem. to me it looks like the updater is able to establish contact with the ipod but that it somehow fails after a few seconds. i would really like to do all i can with this before returning it, but if there is nothing more i can do i will send it in.

Razr: Eternal red eye! Tried everything and still nothing!

Moto droid razr, over a year with it now. Ran out of battery yesterday and when try to turn it on (after some minutes plugged in) the dreadful red eye came out.
I did a soft reset and ended up in the red eye again.
I wiped the cache partition and rebooted it, red eye again.
I did a factory reset and rebooted it, red eye again.
Battery ran out again, charged it, turn it on, and you can guess what happened
Anyone has any ideas of what can I do next?

For reference I followed the instructions provided on this page by user hydrogenous ( http://www.razrforums.com/forum/droid-razr-maxx/3253-phone-stuck-load-up-screen.html). Below is a copy of sucj instructions if you don't want click on the link
Issue: Your Motorola Droid Razr Maxx is stuck on the "droid eye" screen during boot. You haven't rooted your phone or anything.
Solution: Remove your SD Card and reboot the phone by holding the power button. It's still stuck on the screen, right?
Hold down the POWER, VOLUME UP, and VOLUME DOWN buttons until the screen goes blank.
Once the screen turns off, hold down the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons once again.
You should now see a diagnostic screen with several options. Read the first few lines. Use the VOLUME DOWN button to highlight "recovery", and use the VOLUME UP button to select this option.
Now you should see the "Droid Triage Screen". It's a dead android with a triangle. The exclamation ("!") symbol is inside the triangle. Am I being detailed enough?
Press and HOLD the VOLUME DOWN button. WHILE you are holding this button down, press and RELEASE the VOLUME UP button. Now release the VOLUME DOWN button that you were holding for the duration of this step.
A new screen will come up. Use the VOLUME DOWN button to select "WIPE CACHE PARTITION", and use the POWER button to select that option.
The phone should complete the operation and return you to the triage diagnostic mode. Now you want to select "FACTORY RESTORE/RESET". I don't think that's exactly what it's called, but I do know that Factory is in the name. Seriously, I've had too much scotch and my short-term memory is a bit fuzzy. I'm also watching Archer. Hilarious. This process is going to wipe all of your data. That's why you should have downloaded a backup app, but screw it-- your phone is bricked anyways.
Let this option run for a few moments. For me, I had to wait about 2 minutes. During this process I saw absolutely no load bar or status until my phone's "low battery" warning honked at me. I pressed "Okay", and then I saw a "Processing" screen. I think you're going to have to be patient. Maybe your "processing" bar will show up right away. I don't know.

FIXED
I had this issue previously and after a few soft resets and some patience it finally came back on.
Today, I wasn't so lucky... 3 hours of soft resets and waiting with no change in response.
I ended up removing both my SD and SIM card (better safe?), and rebooting to the "Triage Screen." I cleared the cache ONLY and rebooted the phone. It took a while, but finally came back to life! I then installed both the SIM and SD cards and all is well (for now.)
This is a non-rooted first-gen MAXX, and I've had SOOOOOOOO MANY problems with it. I've had an SD card become unformatted, many many missed calls due to general unresponsiveness, and intermittent battery charging/restarting issues. After the SD card was blanked I did a factory restore (about 2 weeks ago) and it's been better, but still not like it was when it was new.
Result: My phone is currently up and running after the cache wipe, but I'll be switching to Samsung in 2 weeks when my contract is up.

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
