A manual backup will help in your situation.
Make sure your new computer is authorized in iTunes. Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod, right click on it in the device list and choose backup.

Transfer your purchases the same way to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your iPod got wiped during the first sync.
The rest of the data can be restored from the backup you made.

Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in iTunes and transferred your purchases.

Apps can be downloaded again for free, in some countries music as well: Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

With the power, take a look in the notifications. There's a lot of stuff defaulted to on that may not need to be. There's also the background updating of apps that is defaulted on, weather and stocks that you may not need.

There is no upgrade path available from Macromedia Contribute 3 to Adobe Contribute 6.5. However you can buy the latest version of Contribute which is 6.5 from the link mentioned below.

It sounds to me like you may be running OSX 10.5. Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac". Write down what it says about "version"and report that here. Now continue to "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
If you are running OSX 10.5 you will have to upgrade to 10.6 by buying a Snow Leopard DVD from Apple phone sales.

Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No. But you can take a photo of the video with your Mac.
With the iPod connected to your computer, click on the iPod, open the DCIM folder & move the video file onto your desktop. Play the video & when you get to the part you want to take a picture of, put Quicktime on pause. Take a screen shot (appleshift3) or (appleshift4 for cross hair cropping) of the paused video.
