As long as you sign in to apple store with same id used for the original purchase and authorised your computer you will find that when you download the app it will be shown as free.
your account has a full history of your purchases so no problem as long as it was purchased from apple store

The iphone will sync with one and only one computer at a time. Sycning to another will erase the content from teh iphone and replace with content from the new computer.
You can use your backup copy of your computer to put everything onto another computer, then sync to that computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases to another computer from your iphone. Open itunes,Sign into your account, connect iphone, do not sync, then click File>Transfer Purchases -

If what you previously bought is an iOS application, ensure that you’re signed into the iTunes Store with the Apple ID you used to buy it, or sync the device with an iTunes library which contains it.
If what you previously bought is a Mac OS X application, you can’t. The developer needs to create the two versions separately and may choose to charge for both.

Did you buy it directly on your iPad? Did you ever transfer the app to the iTunes content library on your computer? If so, sync it back onto your iPad. If not, then I encourage you to do so regularly for occasions just such as this.
Does the previous purchase of the app appear in your iTunes Purchase History? Usually you just think that you are going to be charged but at the last step the App store sees that you previously bough the app and informs you that it will be free.
Also, is this the same version that you previously bought? Or is this the next major paid version? -
My computer broke and I got it fixed. It doesn't say that the hard-drive was replaced, but I can tell my data is gone, including Pages that I bought. Is there any way of getting that without paying for it again?
Or if you purchased Pages as part of iWork on a disk, reinstall from the same disk.

Due to divorce, all my music is on my iTunes and iPod. I have had to buy a new laptop and want to transfer the library to the new computer before deauthorizing the old one. I dont want to have to use an external drive every time I want to listen to my music. How can I do this and have the same basic iTunes setup as before? HELP!
You might consider itunes match for moving CDs you've copied into your itunes library if you dont have a way to use home sharing.
iTunes match is an optional service offered by apple that costs about $25 a year. It scans your music library and if it finds music that is already in apple's itunes catalog it'll automatically "unlock"/"store" these in the cloud for you. The iOS and Mac versions of iMovie are in effect separate programs (coded completely differently for the two operating systems) and have to be purchased separately.

If you only want iPhoto or other single apps from iLife '11 you can get them from the App Store. iPhoto, iMovie or Garage Band for $15 each and Pages, Keynote or Numbers from iWork '09 for $20 each. iDVD has been discontinued by Apple so you would need a DVD of iLife '11 for $49 http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC623Z/A/iLife-11?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY or an install disk 2 to get it.

hi Leonie, I've downloaded it from AppStore, unfortunately.
If it is the Mac App Store, then Carolyn Samit's solution is perfect. Sign into the App Store on your MacBook Air with the original AppleID you used and install Aperture from the Purchased page.
But If you bought a serial number and downloaded from the Apple Store, then you cannot download an installer from Apple's sites. In that case your best bet would be to update your current version to Aperture 3.5.1 if you are still using an older version. Updating to 3.5.1 will change your license to a Mac AppStore license, and you can download from the AppStore on your other Mac.
Which Aperture version do you have installed? Are you already using Aperture 3.5.1 on MacOS X 10.9.3? -

You need to copy everything from your backup copy of your computer to your new one.
The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing File>Transfer Purchases -

Do you have a copy of it anywhere e.g. in the Tones part of your computer's iTunes library ? If you do then you can sync it to your phone from there.
Ringtones are a one-time only download from the store, if you redownload it then you will be charged for doing so.
