I want to remove an add on becauase I've been having problems with FIrefox locking up since I installed. How the heck does one remove an add-on. I hate to be stupid but I cannot figure out how to uninstall an add on
I've been having problems with Firefox 4.0 locking up pretty much since I installed it. I did add a few add-ons and all I can think of to do is to remove them. I can't figure out how to get rid of them.
Well, When I click on Add-ons I don't get a list of add-ons. AN Add-ons tab opens which shows lots of other great add-ons but I can't get a list os ones that I've installed and have no option to remove. I'm on version 4.0. Maybe the "remove" as described is for an earlier version?
Nevermind, figured it out. Had to click on "Extensions" on the left side of the page to get the list

You'll find some good video tutorials with these Google searches:
(search Google for these terms without quotes)
* indesign paragraph styles tutorial

* InDesign paragraph styles in table of contents tutorial
The simple principle is: InDesign creates a TOC by "pulling out" heading paragraphs from your document. To help it know which paragraphs are the headings you want in the TOC, you need to create paragraph styles, and apply them to the heading paragraphs. Then, when you perform Layout > Table of Contents, you choose the heading paragraph styles, and run the process.
It may be daunting if you've never done anything like this. But, if you've done it in MS Word or other word processor, the principle is the same - make the headings identifiable in some way, so the software can extract them.
Look at the video tutorials, create a heading paragraph style, create a TOC, and let us know the result.
If your document is one of several that are gathered into an InDesign book, search Google for terms like "working with InDesign books tutorial," and "InDesign book table of contents tutorial," without quotes.
It would help if you can provide screen shots of your result. Search Google for terms like "how to create a screen shot on mac," or "how to create a screen sot on windows," without quotes. It also helps to display hidden characters when you make the screen shots. Search Google for terms like "how to display InDesign hidden characters," without quotes. Search Google for terms like "how to post a screen shot on an adobe user forum," without quotes.

Does anyone know of an e-reader app for the iphone that has text to speech capability? I have a Kindle 3G that can read whole pdf documents and books but I cannot figure out how to do it on my iphone 4.
All of the apps I have found on the App store either do not have the text to speech capability or if they have it they will only read a page at a time or simply read the text you paste into their window. I really do not understand what is so difficult about having this feature as Kindle provides it--though Amazon does not make the feature available on its iPhone 4 app.
Please help.thanks. yes i am aware of the VoiceOver feature but it is NOT the solution to my problem. as you said, it is a solution to a different set of issues. i want the text to speech ability because i there are books i need to read but do not have the time to sit down and read them and have become used to listening to them read to me either by a professional human reader or with the text to speech software on the Kindle.
I think Apple makes the best audio devices but i am really disappointed in this inexplainable shortcoming. if apple can give us siri they ought to be able to design a nice little button that i can push to turn on text to speech while i am in a document, book, magazine or webpage. clearly it is possible as apple has added the "reader" button in safari to have web pages dropped into the reader format.

Apple has every iOS posted and available for download for every iPhone including the Original iPhone very first firmware. Just type what you want into Web Browser and it is there. If you have trouble post back here.

I created a photo album on my iPhone 4s - edited photos etc. but I cannot figure out how to transfer it to my pc (using Windows 8). The only folder in the iphone drive is the one which has the Camera roll photos Help please - I really need the photos!
The camera roll is not part of the sync process at all.
You should be importing these photos to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera. Youc an organize them on your computer and sync the to the iphone if you wish.
The photos sync from the computer to the iphone is one way.
The iphone mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced. -
I use feedly.com a lot so I installed the Feedly add on but I cannot figure out how to use it. Can someone please help me out and tell me how to use it in Firefox? OS is Wind 7 home premium 64 bit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

For the people who state that it does nothing...
That's because something's messed up with the icons. It makes it seem like the extension is not there.
But it's there. The icon it uses is the set of left, right, up, down, etc.

Drag that up to the bar, and it then appears as the feedly icon.

I can air print documents and email from my iphone 5, but cannot figure out to print a contact from Outlook from my iphone.
As far as I know you can't delete the primary email address for an iCloud account. It's assigned when the account is created. But your neighbor wouldn't have been able to get into your iCloud account without your Apple ID and password. Are you sure the account wasn't still on your phone when you gave it to him?
You could migrate a copy of your data to a new iCloud account but I would still be concerned that someone else was using my old account, which presumably still has your data in it.
I'm fairly certain that you're going to have to have iCloud support help you sort this one out as they may have the ability to make changes to an existing account that users can't. Make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it. If necessary, they should be able to contact iCloud support for you. -

I had firefox for a while and it worked fine. One day when I clicked to open it it said "You are currently offline, change status to online". I am paraphrasing. Internet Explorer has no problems with me being offline, it is working.
We uninstalled and reinstalled the program with the same result. We gave up for a few months and went back to Int Exp.
I got a pop up from Yahoo saying to try FF #4. I was shocked to see the exact same message as before.Did you check the File > Work Offline setting?
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

How do I get my 300 playlists back on my IPhone after installing new IPhone software? The playlists still show in my ITunes on my computer but not in my IPhone. When I switch to synch by playlists and begin checking off the lists, the memory bar fills up. These lists are suppose to be in the ICloud and not go against my memory . I had access with my playlists to more than 18,000 somgs on my IPhone until this new Apple IPhone software update came alg. What do I do?
You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

How the heck does one change one's email address in the Control Panel
I know this is the wrong place to post this but I don't know where the right place is!
In about a week I am changing to a different broadband provider and the email address I have associated with these forums will no longer be valid. Obviously very easy to deal with - just go to "Your Control Panel" and change the email address ! I must be missing something because I can see my email address but cannot see any way to change it ! When the migration guidelines said you have to use the same email address in the old and the new account I just changed the email address in the old java forum account to be a current email address, then signed up to the new forums with that... They could have said it must be the email address you used when you originally signed up in the old java forum - but that was back in '98 and I probably did not have access to that when the migration happened...
I don't particularly care about the post count, but as my old posts are not linked to my account it makes it difficult to search through them... -

I'm attempting to use 3rd party plugins (specifically, ValhallaFreqEchoMkI 1.01), and I cannot figure out how to get them to show up in MainStage (ver 3.0.4). I know how to use native plugins as chanel strips and in the Audio FX section on the strip, but I cannot figure out how to ACCESS the patches I have downloaded. Please help!
