I want to restore to version i had before updating to version 8

i don't like version 8... even asking restore question is a convoluted mess!

Google is your friend! Use this link to get your archived versions:
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/
Should be fairly easy to find, just scroll down to the version you want (ie, 7.01), click on it.
Click on the version (Windows, Mac, etc...for Windows, use the win32 folder).
Click on your language (EN_US for US English).
Click on the .exe file to download.
Save or Run at your preference (I prefer to save, so I have a backup of the file for later.
Enjoy.

  • HT1414 i want to restore old version in my ipod touch currently ios6 i want to restore into ios5

updated my ipod touch to ios6 now i am not able to run ios6 in my xcodeVersion 4.3.2 (4E2002), i want to restore my ipod touch to old version which i am using previously (ios5). please give me some suggestion to do this.

Well, if you are using XCode then you are obviously a developer (or at least you should be...).  If you are a developer then you should already know that Apple does not support rolling back or 'downgrading" to a previous version of iOS.

  • Want to restore previous version on firefox since my Norton toolbar is incompatible and can't do it.

I upgraded to the 4.0 version then discovered my Norton toolbar is incompatible. I have been unable to restore my computer to before the upgrade.

Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
I do not know about the time scale for updates for other Norton products. Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

  • My iPhone doesn't want to restore on iTunes after crashing from updating to iOS 6.1.2

I keep getting countless errors and I need my phone back up and running asap

Well the phone was working fine just listening to music then it shut off completely and started relooping the apple logo. so I put it in DFU mode, connect it to itunes so that itunes can detect it being in recovery mode to be restored and updated. but after it was preparing for update I get errors 2001, then I would retry again and get 1600, I did recall getting 3014 when im doing the exact same thing over and over hoping it would go through with the process.

  • How to restore previous version of search/results.aspx

    Hi,
I have search center as sub site. There is no Pages library available for the search center.
I had customized the OOTB search results page. Now, I need to restore previous version of the results page.
The url for results page appears as <site collection URL>/search/results.aspx
Which library contains the results.aspx page and how to restore it to previous version?
    Thanks,
    dhijit

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to restore previous version of search/results.aspx.
Per my knowledge, the results.aspx isn’t stored in the library.
You can open the SharePoint Designer to find the results.aspx under the “All Files” folder.
There is no version information on the page.
You need to modify the page to the result which is the same as the previous version.

  • I want to restore my information on a computer that was recently reformatted

I recently had to have my computer reformatted due to a virus and want to restore firefox as it was before. I have mozilla backup, but the profile stored there is out of date. But I had been using firefox sync before the reformat, so theoretically the updated info is available. I just need to know how to access firefox sync on my newly reformatted computer and sync up firefox with sync.

Thank you for reporting your results back!

  • Just installed v. 4, want to revert back to version I had before 3.6. How do I that?

Just installed v. 4, want to revert back to version I had before 3.6. How do I do that? Have windows XP.

I too, want to restore to my older version of Firefox after upgrading to version 4. Thank you for posting this with a link to the older version. Just for your information, the reason I want to restore the older version is because the new version is not usable with my version of Zoom text (9.11). It is so incompatible that I had to use IE in order to see the screen well enough to search for a way to revert to my older version. I also was unable to read web pages, enter data in the URL or Search windows or select menu options. . Often, when using version 4 big black blocks will appear where ever the cursor is, the menus will appear in different sizes and when I move the mouse to select a menu item the menu will jump to a new location. In short it doesn’t work at all with Zoomtext!
Really I wish you would have warned us of how different this version is and it might have been a good idea to review potential problems before upgrading. That really would have been the nice and polite thing to do! I'm visually impaired and having to search for a solution and then having to go about the un-install and re-install process is time consuming and difficult for me. And again, it was so bad that I had to use IE to even be able to read this webpage, enter this reply, or to get to this solution.

I recently had to replace my 2009 Macbook Pro's hard drive.  I had the apple store upgrade the OS to Mountain Lion while it was in being repaired.  I want to restore all of my old data and files.  If I perform a restore from Time Machine, with a date prior to having the hard drive replaced, will it revert back to the old OS?

No, it won't revert to the prior OS X but you you may have third party apps installed that were compatible with Lion that may not be compatible with Mountain Lion.

I think it's QuickTime player causing the problem, when I try to open it I get the windows error that an error has occured
Let's try swapping out your QuickTime again, taking a few extra explicit precautions this time.
Head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.
    1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
    2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
    3. Open Program Files.
    4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
    5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
    6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx. (If “Hide filename extensions for known file types” is enabled on the PC, then those two files will appear as “QuickTime” and QuickTimeVR”.)
    7. Restart your computer.
Now download and save a copy of the latest standalone QuickTime installer to your hard drive. (We'll run the install from there rather than online.)
Latest Quicktime Installers … get the one that doesn’t mention iTunes
Switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install. Start the install by doubleclicking the QuickTimeInstaller.exe.
If that install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching iTunes again. Does your iTunes launch properly now?
(If you get an error message on the QuickTime uninstall or standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. Include error message numbers if you're getting any.)
