I want to run my program with continuous aquisition and write data to file when a button is pressed and get the most recent samples from the DAQ board.
This is an update to a question I asked earlier. I am still trying to solve the problem. I have included a zip file with a library file. The file to open in pj_pushbutton.vi. I have placed comments explaining the issues and problems in this vi and the subvi's.
When I push my button to write the data to file I think it is writing the data that has already been stored in the buffer and writing to file all at once. I want the data that is taken from the DAQ board from the time that I press the Write File button. How do I do this?

Hi,
1. In AI read, you need to set the Read/Search option to "Relative to End of Data".
2. Next you should not start AI Read VI until you press the Write to File. I am attaching an example VI below. Please see if it helps.

Hi, I may suggest to activate the root account and try the uninstall process from that account. To do so, you have to:
Go to System Preferences a open up the Users pane;
On the left side of the pane, you shuold see Login Options;
Enabled editing option clicking on the lock (it will ask your password);
Once the pane is enabled, you should see something like Server Account Network (sorry my OS is in italian, so I don't exactly know the right translation), and right next to it a button;
Click on that button, and a new pane shows up. Click on Open Directory Utility, and on the upper bar of OS X click on Edit;
Select Enable Root Account (you can set a password, or not);
Done that, you should log out and when the login window show up, type on the user field "root" and the password you choose;
Theorically, from this account you will be able to unistall the application.
After completing your task, I reccomend you to disable the root account, just by loggin in your personal account and repeating the steps I described before. Hope it helps -

I want to run a vi for 4 days and save samples to a file.
I use the Ni EX save to file.vi example provided by LabView and change the Trigger mode to "immidiate ref trigger" as I am measuring a DC voltage.
The application runs correctly when min record length is 2048 however when I change the min record length to 2,000,000 I receive the following error message and nothing get saved:
Error occurred at: niScope Multi Fetch.vi
<err>Driver Status: (Hex 0xBFFA2003)
Maximum time exceeded before the operation completed.
Possibly no trigger received. Buffers done: 0, Points done: 0.000000.

Have you tried increasing the timeout? What is the exact name of the vi that you are using. Also, what hardware are you using? What driver versions do you have installed? Actually, the more information you could give us, the better. Thanks and have a great day!

Xcode is not wanting to run a program with "3.1" included in filename
I have been having a strange problem with Xcode lately. The other day I was writing a program as a Cocoa Application Project and I named the file prog3.1. This was a simple command-line program that would just display some values that had been stored in variables; it's being used as an example to teach somebody Objective-C. Unfortunately, whenever I try to build and run the program I will not recieve any of the printed text or the confirmation that the program has exited successfully. The screen says that the build was successful but that's it.
I've tried using different code that I know for sure compiles and runs correctly but if it is stored in the prog3.1 file it will not output anything. I have also discovered that using 3.1 in any project name will result in this strange behavior. I can get the code to run in a file of another name, but I'm afraid that the person learning this would become too confused as to why it needs to be done this way.
Is this an unknown bug? Does anybody have a suggestion as to how I can remedy this?

The period character is used by Mac OS X to separate the file name from the file extension. It seems likely that the system cannot tell what type of file you are using because it thinks '.1' is the extension.
Perhaps '3-1' or something similar will keep things clear for your student.

How to run two programs with one PC and two monitors

I have a requirement to run a parallel loop and update the progress in two monitors with one computer.
For ex: its a two test stage, the process and progress of the 1st stage needs to displayed in monitor1 and similarly for 2nd stage to monitor 2 with program running with one computer.Would it be possible to do that.

Repair your Apple software update.
Go to START > ALL PROGRAMS > Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you don't find ASU, go to Control Panel:
START > CONTROL PANEL/ > Add n Remove Programs, highlight ASU and click CHANGE then REPAIR -

Can anyone suggest me how to install crystal run time program with out installing entire designer software.
Is it coming along with CR software package, which we have to do custom install or is it coming as a different package.
Currently my client is using only the run time programs to trigger crystal report from VB app but developers have installed entire software for development. We need to figure out how this install can be done, as it was done long time before and folks who have done it left the company.

ptThat's a nice system Kevin, and it will work very nicely with Photoshop. I do take it that you have 16Gb RAM in Total?
250Gb SSD is a good size, but you can still run short, and that will affect Windows performance. When you get your system, instal WinDirStat which gives you a graphic display of everything on your drive, like below. Clicking on any of the large areas will tell you what and where they are, so you can think about moving cache folders etc. to one of the HDDs.
Leave the Pagefile.sys on the boot drive. Think about disabling Hyphenate as it takes a ton of space, and too often crashes on wake up.

Think about another 500Gb drive just for Photoshop Scratch. Drives are cheap as chips nowadays
Do yourself a favour, and invest $100 in Shadow Protect (or similar if there is such a thing) SP saves incremental backups every 15 minutes (you can set the interval, but it has no impact on performance with a system like yours). If you have a problem you can mount the back up at any of those 15 minute points, and open files from it. You can also make a bootable DVD image of your C drive, and be back up and running five minutes after disaster strikes.

It sounds like what you are trying to do, is run one mapping in a pre-mapping process of another mapping. You use a wrapper that implements sqlplus_exec_template.sql in PL/SQL. Is that correct?
I don't think that by the way you execute this mapping, it ends up in the context of the process flow. The reason is because according to Warehouse Builder the mapping is being invoked standalone (through the wrapper that implements the template). As a result, the context in which Warehouse Builder would log the messages is lost.
What I suggest you do (assuming I understand the problem correctly), is run the mapping as a separate mapping in the process flow. Because in the current release we do not support passing output parameters in the process flow, you will have to (temporarily) store the results of the first mapping in a table and pick it up from there in the other mapping. In the next major release (autumn 2004) we will support passing parameters between activities.

The mechanism that I want is pull the result from the current report, not to add some code in current report to push into new program, to avoid changed the report.
Btw, the output of this report not only the excel file, we can also run this report on foreground mode and see the result.
The report is not ALV report.

When ever I use Adobe reader 11 with a USB device, I cannot safe remove the USB device and get the following message (or similar one) in system log: The application \Device\HarddiskVolume1\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe with process id 6620 stopped the removal or ejection for the device USB\VID_05DC&PID_C75C\20131215015821328FC8.
