If someone who is listed in your contacts calls you, you will only see their name. This has nothing to do with the fact you're in Egypt. The only workaround I can see for this is to put the person's number in the name section of the contacts. In other words, put their first and last name in the first name section and their phone number in the last name section.

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

One year ago i installed Elements 12 on my PC with a serial number and it was OK.
Today i have installed Elements 12 also on my laptop.
But,...there is a problem with validation of the serial number on my laptop. Is there a need to validate Elements or will this program real disapeare in 7 days?

Since you already have one copy activated the serial number must be logged in your account details - I would first check that the one logged and the one you are attempting to enter are the same.
You can check your account details by going to www.adobe.com and clicking on Manage Account. You need to sign in with your Adobe Id and then click on View All under Plans & Products. Next click on View your products and after a while it should produce your list.
If there is a problem with the serial number, only Adobe can help you there (we are just users). Please see the response in this thread

HP Officejet Pro 8600+ "There is a problem with the printer or ink system..."
I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600+ that is coming up with an error message. This just happened out of the blue yesterday. The printer is just over a year old.
It says:
"There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Print head missing not detected incorectly installed or incompatable"
I have removed and reinstalled ink cartridges, the head, unplugged, cleaned, etc. etc.

There is a problem with the phone app. When I want to call somebody the phone screen come too late. This will cause a problem if I call the wrong number. Apple please please please fix it as soon as possible and also check why the phone is always restart. I prefer to let us use the iOS 7 until you finished from the IOS 8 because Ios 8 still under construction there is a tones problems in the system. And this Will cause undirect problem for the iPhone 6

Can't back-up new iMac with fusion HD. The back-up proceeds to within 10% of the total storage needed and then the "of" number increases. I suspect there is a problem with backing up the fusion drive. We have a new 3 TB time Capsule. I tried excluding different parts of the software from the back-up but it didn't make any difference. I even tried exluding "invisible items" to no avail. Any ideas?
When you setup the wireless and ethernet in the computer.. ipv6 will be on automatic.. this is wrong for the latest TC firmware and airport utility. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4597
Go to the wireless and ethernet setup in preferences and change ipv6 to link local.
Once you do the big backup by ethernet the wireless will function fine for incremental.. it is obviously not estimating the size correctly..
A full back-up on the iMac would be about 650 GB. The partial updates that I have been trying start out at 115MB and keep growing indefinitely. The original back-up never finished nor have any of the follow-up attempts.
The first estimate should be the full backup but it will keep growing as the backup advances.. I would also delete any inprogress files to make sure it is not messing up .. delete even a sparsebundle if there is one for the imac on the TC and start afresh once you have ethernet connection.

Pondini may have some other clues there to give you an idea of why the backup is slow or not finishing.. there is a lot of issues with TM when it decides not to work. -

There is actually a ModifyBatchReportHeader in addition to the ModifyReportHeader that you already used. That would be the first thing to do.
After that, I think I need a more detailed description of what you are trying to do (perhaps with screenshots) in order to be able to help effectively.

I need to get my iPod to no longer be associated with the original i store account. My husband set it up through his account but now I have my own account. I don't want to go through his every time I want to make a change. how do I make this change?
I am trying to stop using my I-pod under my husband's I-Tune account. It was set up under his account and the only way I can use it under my account is to erase all of the songs my husband loaded on for me. I had heard there is a duration that I-Pods are locked into to one account only, and I am trying to discover how I can use my account without having to erase everything on the I-Pod. For home use, I recently changed from Windows PC to MacBook Air. I have an iPhone 4 which I synched without problem to the PC. Since I have used Outlook for years on Windows and trusted advisors assured me Microsoft Office on the Mac is the same as Microsoft Office on Windows, I decided to continue using Microsoft Office. Because I cannot get my Outlook calendar to sync reliably to iCal / iPhone and because I have found a small but meaningful number of features I use daily in Outlook Windows do not work on Outlook Mac, I have never been in so much pain!
The latest problem is Outlook does not complete startup. I get this error:
There is a problem with the Outlook database. To use the database, you must rebuild it using the Database Utility.
I run the utility but it never completes successfully.

I have found many articles about this problem but they all seem to assume that you can successfully start Outlook then you rebuild the database to fix data corruption in Outlook.

The key is to create a new Outlook Identity, remove the database file, then copy your data records into the new identity and use the Outlook database utility to rebuild the database.

Wallpaper with the cursor when connected to external display
Hi guys. I recently bought a MacBook 13" unibody polycarbonate white and I had bad luck and cracked the screen and I don't have the money to get it repaired so I decided to buy a mini display to VGA and hook it up to my old dell monitor.
I turned off the computer and plugged the port in and it connects to the monitor but I only see the wallpaper with the cursor and no login screen or anything. I was reading around and found out that I might have to play with the resolution to make the monitor work. Now my delimma is that my LCD screen is cracked so how can I make the monitor work without looking ?Can you see anything on your MacBook screen? If you can access System Preferences you can drag the window over to the other screen. You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode. In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the TV and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen. You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the TV your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.

Error: There is a problem with the file and it cannot be copied
I've been trying to copy (and essentially move) the contents of an NTFS-formatted external HDD to my iMac's internal HDD so I can then format the external HDD to Mac OS Extended. However, when I simply try to drag and drop, I get an error during the transfer that states:
There is a problem with the file and it cannot be copied.
I tried a basic cp command in Terminal to copy all contents of the external HDD to a folder on my iMac's desktop, and found that while there were no errors, there were many individual files missing full chunks of data (ie. original file would be 4GB on my external HDD, but only 350MB on my desktop).
Any ideas on how I can successfully copy a large amount of data (approx. 170GB) from my external HDD to my internal HDD while avoiding this error, so I can ultimately format my external HDD to Mac OS Extended? ANY help is greatly appreciated.That's not a good error to see. It indicates something is very wrong. Pulled out of an old programming header file:

If Apple labelled it "bummers," they had a good reason! Unfortunately, that doesn't bode well for you.
Try running Disk Utility again. Keep repairing over and over until one of two things happens: 1) Disk Utility says no repair was needed, or 2) Disk Utility reports the same error in two sequential repair sessions and is unable to repair it both times.
If you hit the second case, or if you hit the first but still can't copy files, then you've got two basic options:
= Buy a third-party disk utility or two and try them. Try TechTool as a first choice.
= Recover what files you can and write the rest off as gone.
= Send your drive to a data recovery service and hope they can extract more than you can.
Of course, none of this is necessary if you have a backup of the contents of that hard drive. (If you don't, this is your learning experience. Once bitten, twice shy, so they say.) Also, regardless of the outcome, once you've got your data or have decided it's gone, you're going to want to wipe that drive completely clean. Reformat the drive with Disk Utility, then when it's done, select the drive in Disk Utility and hit command-i. (Don't select the new volume you just created on that drive, select the drive itself. Mine looks like "232.9 GB Hitachi ..." with the volume name indented underneath.) Look for an item that says S.M.A.R.T. Status, and if it doesn't say Verified, you might as well throw out the drive. Don't trust any more data to it.
If all appears safe, you can start moving data back onto it. But, as always, make sure you have a backup of everything!
