The app you got only works with iPhones, iPods touch and iPads, but not with Macs. That's because Macs use a different operating system that requires different applications, so you have to purchase the application for the Mac

I have a MacBook Pro Retina display: 15.4-inch late 2015 with OS X Mavericks install, only on second week.
Insight works on FaceTime, Skype, but yahoo program does not show insight cam in dropped down.
Now when I got my new MacBook Pro, I down loaded all new Skype (worked tested), FaceTime (Worked Tested), Yahoo (not worked)
Fix:
With the new Maverick you have to use there messager program Version 8.0 (4218). Once I add my yahoo account video works again.
It also supported AOL, AIM, Google Talk, Jabber.

Yes. Numbers for the Mac is a different program than the app for the iPhone and iPad. It can be purchased from the Mac App store.

Recently I wanted to upgrade the IOS for my iphone 4 following the guidelines closely with my friend's help. Unfortunately, we are unable to do so. I felt disappointed as I am looking forward to installing Apps, WeChat, Whats App, etc. I have bought it 2 years ago. I have read the FAQ, mine is the same as many other complaints as in the Settings-General, no "Software Update" appear but we have follow step by step but failed to do so.
My friend suggested me to visit Apple Store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I just wonder if this problem can be solved. Kindly advise.

Regards/Michelle GeeYou are following the wrong guidelines. The Software Update option was not introduced until a later version. You need to connect to iTunes to update if you currently have iOS 4 or earlier.

I took away my backup disk with me so just took it from there excellent. I am back home at present working on my imac. When I go to use my macbook air on these projects (when away on boat) is it easiest to simply copy the Project and Events folders in total from my imac onto the other machine and do the same upon my return in reverse? I need to upgrade my first generation Macbook Air 1,1 to Lion OS x10. I need to install other software that requires 10.7 also a java update that requires 10.7. I am currently on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and my macbook Air 1.1 will not go up to Mountain Lion. The Lion software update 10.7 is no longer available from the store or downloads.
Where do I get this?

After recent upgrade to Yosemite on Macbook air bluetooth audio cuts out and associated video stops with audio. Likewise with airplay and Apple TV. I have deleted all my saved wifi connections and restarted numerous times. I do not expect a resolution from the community, but hope to get the attention of Apple engineers. If you are having same problems or have a miracle cure I am all ears.
May start my own thread, but I'm having similar issues.
I've been using an old iMac (running 10.7.5) and Apple TV for years with no issues. Last week I bought a new Macbook Pro running Yosemite and have had audio issues multiple times. The weird thing is that sometimes it works flawlessly, other times (like now) I spend half an hour just trying to get a song to play.
My issues are: When I got to "computers" in Apple TV to stream my music, my music is sometimes chopper or intermittent, and I seen to know when it's going to happen based on the status wheel just before it plays. When I choose a song, the status wheel will spin for an unusually long time, usually an indicator that the audio is either not going to work, or stutter.
When it does finally pull up a song, the playhead sits at the beginning of the song for a good 3-5 seconds before actually playing. Then, when it starts playing, it's all downhill. It will play a few seconds, drop out, play a few more seconds, drop out, and then ultimately the playhead will keep moving across the song as if it's playing, but there's no audio.
Again, this is a new phenomenon never experienced by me. I've tried everything I could think of, some of them all at once:
• restart Apple TV
• restart Macbook Pro
• quite iTunes/open
• turn off Home Sharing on iTunes then reconnect it
• unplugging and cycling both my modem and router
None of these have alleviated the problem.
The odd thing is, like this morning, the audio started up perfectly and never gave me any issues. It wasn't until later in the day that it started. Perhaps after the macbook pro had been put to sleep? Not sure.
Regardless, this is an annoying trait, one that's new to me and my system (as stated, worked flawlessly until my new purchase), and is 100% limited to either a) the macbook pro b) Yosemite or c) both of them. -

Hi everyone, I just wanted to know more about apple's replacement program for Macbook Air mid-2012. I updated the said firmware and then my mac air stops working. However, according to the program, they are replacing it free of charge. I just went to an authorized service provider here in the Philippines and I just want to know if I will be paying any. You should not, as the replacement program is worldwide. In case the reseller refuses to repair your Mac for free, print this website and take it with you

I downloaded a book as a pdf in an app through iTunes, but I want to read it on my MacBook Air. How do I do that, please?
A PDF is a PDF. If it is an app then it isn't a PDF unless it is an app that is supposed to install the PDF somewhere in which case I wouldn't trust it. From where did this originate? If it is some unknown web site there are plenty with fake links that say you are downloading one thing but they send you another in hope that you will blindly install some malware. Usually they target Windows users but there's getting to be some for Mac (in particular MacKeeper).
