In LabVIEW 6.1 I found some examples they use those sound VIs. They are located in \examples\sound folder. Those examples should give you a good overview how to use the VIs.

To the best of my knowledge, Windows is not capable of setting a specific sound card based on the app being used, it's all or nothing.
Try a google search or search the Microsoft site.

Also as soon attempt to put in my new credit card number it immediately times out can this be associated to where I'm located?

Go to your account on your computer and set the credit card to none. This will allow you to use the gift card.

Want to use 2 sound cards

I have been checking around and have noticed on some of the web cast sites that there are possibility in using multiple sound cards on one machine. The basic functionality is possible pending IRQ and BIOS settings.
I currently have an older SBLive Platinum W/ Live drive and have tweaked it out pretty nicely for basic I/O.
I was capable of getting most of the routing possibilitys working on that EMU Chipset with an opensource program I found a while back along with the Audigy drivers. I would like to keep using the card and the bay. Could revert very easily back to the original software and drivers.
Enter problem........
I have been made aware of the possibility that the X-Fi Platinum is "in the cards" for X-Mas. And I am intrigued by the newer functionality. Then I start thinkin' see....
2 bays
2 cards
2 midi in
2 midi out
2 headphone
etc. etc. etc.
What about 2 seperate sets of control software that is used for each card. Main output from one, monitor output from the other. Control room out from one, Tape out out the other. ASIO, ASIO, ASIO Hmmm.
I have no experience using two cards in one machine but considering I was given' the first card to begin with and now I may be gettin' a second one of higher quality I wonder If anyone has any data concerning the 2 card issue.

Not that familiar with the 2000 Platform but I would start by doing a full uninstall of the current drivers and software for the SB Platinum. Download the LiveDrive-Uni Pack from the update link. Getting rid of your old audio drivers is a fairly importaant step.

Then DL the software if you want all that stuff.
I remember that when I first started fiddling with this unit I had a similiar situation where I could not get the audio on the front bay to function properly.
I think the driver update took care of the issue.
At any rate .... I have just done a clean install of XP, got the video card screamin, and I am going to re-install the Platinum with the drive tonight. I am going to try with a minimum of the bundled software so driver and AudioHQ with Creative mixer are about all I am interested in.
The Emu 10kx drivers are supported on this card as well as the Audigy, with that said the Kx drivers from Lugosoft might be of interest if you cant get the Creative stuff working.
I will post again with the process if all goes well.
There is a whole slew of settings that could go wrong with this IMHO 'GLITCHY' card.
I am gonna' get it to work with the new X-FI If my life depends on it.

I don't want airport! I want to use the usb card I own!

I have read all applicable posts on the subject. It hasn't really helped.
Here's my situation: I moved back into my parents' house temporarily for two months while I pick up some summer classes I couldn't otherwise take, and I have set up a wireless network so their settings can remain the same (and they'll keep all the equipment in their room, as they demand).
I have a mac mini, never dreamed there would be an issue using wireless usb network cards, suddenly there is, no one will help. Linksys says the cards (wusb11 and wusb54g) don't have mac drivers, and that's all they'll say. Apple won't even help me find third party but demanded I buy an airport card. This did not endear me to purchasing another product from apple.
Well, I gotta be honest here, I DON'T WANT to spend $79-99 on an airport card. First off, I really can't afford to, and second it's the principle of the thing. I shouldn't have to. It's a USB device, mac has usb ports, there should be no issue. Now, the wusb54g is still in the packaging and can be taken back, but it was only $40-something, so that's my price range.
Essentially I have three questions:
1) Can I get my linksys cards working?
2) If not, what card within my price range DOES work?
3) If I cannot get my mac mini online, is there a way to wire it to another computer independent of any other network (perhaps via another router?) At least then my windows box could be online and I could still transfer files back and forth between it and the mac mini.

Well, I am very satisfied with my linksys usb adaptors on my PC, and all other PCs I have tried them on. Besides, I'm not asking if they work well or not, I'm merely asking do they work at all. Your idea of well and mine may be different. I'm just interested in the facts.
Once again, even if I understand what you meant by a "standard" airport card (you mean there's more than one?), I think I was pretty adament that I did not want an airport card. I just don't. The price coupled with Apple's strong sell made that one product I'll only buy if I absolutely have to, and I'll explore every other option first. Furthermore, I asked about third party adaptors.
I have a crossover cable, so that'll probably do it. I wasn't sure if the mac would be able to work the same way. Is it just as easy to set up? Am I better off connect them to another router?

After researching this topic, I found the placing an old SIM card in a new iPad would be impossible. There is no way for consumers to remove the back cover... Without dropping it off a building. My best suggestion: Use the current plan up first. Then buy a new plan.

How do I save contacts on my Iphone 3 to sim card so I can use the sim card with another Iphone and keep all of my contacts.

My current Iphone 3 is not working properly. My wife just upgraded to an Iphone 4. I am planning on using her old 3 model. I want to save the contacts on my 3 to the sim card and then import the contacts to "new 3". I cannot figure out how to save contacts from phone to sim card. can that be done, if so how??

Contacts cannot be saved to the SIM card on an iPhone. Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the comptuer. That would be Outlook or Windows Address Book, Windows Contacts on the Windows computers and Address Book on a Mac. There are also web based solutions such as Yahoo or Google. Contacts would have to be saved there and then synced to the new phone.

Hi, I am using an applicom card type PCI1500-PFB to communicate with a Seimens S7-300 CPU315-2DP plc. I am using this simply to display in a labview front panel the outputs of the plc and may in the future use switches on the front panel to control the inputs of the plc. How do I do the communication? I have setup the applicam card and have comms with the plc I think. I am trying to use data socket to communicate to the plc via the applicom card. Any suggestions?

There�s a fair bit of documentation on NI�s site regarding the Applicom card.
The following doc does a pretty good job summarizing Applicom's PCCONF and PCINIT, and the use of ReadWait and WriteWait to ensure you�ve got communication with the between the PLC and the Applicom card:

Since it doesn�t sound like you�re using the LV DSC module, you can stop reading once it gets into connecting to Lookout Objects.
Once you�re sure you�ve got comm, you can do some quick tests in LabVIEW using front panel datasocket connections as shown on page 11-12 of the following:

From there, it all depends on
the complexity of your system. If simple, you could just stay with front panel connections, or you could move to programming with the Datasocket Read and Write functions.

I try to get the "g08cgc" (chi-square calculation) running, but LabVIEW hangs up everytime I start the VI..

For the calculation of Chi-square I have the followind input variables:
- measured values
- calculated values
- coefficients
If you/someone can give me some tips how to calculate chi-square with this input variables it would be very helpfull (e.g. maybe MS-Excel can do this,too ?! Using .NET etc?)

The LV drivers for various NI products are essentially VIs that call
into a user level DLL. That DLL does its work and returns the results
and/or error info to the diagram.
If the board has a DLL that allows it to work, then you can make quick
wrapper VIs to make it fit the LV language a bit better.
There are no architectures or protocols for drivers to replace NI-DAQ or
other NI driver wrappers.
