I was advised to purchase dazzle video creator to move analog videos from an old sony camcorder to a mac. I have purchased the dazzle and the specs seem to be for windows only. Has anyone used this product on mac?

I am not certain, but I believe there is a version of Dazzle for the Mac. However, it is not the route I would chose.
You really need a proper analogue to digital converter, like the ADVC110, to connect to your camera via the usual RCA cables, and to your Mac via firewire.

Thanks Kappy, I let it do the scan and when it stopped halfway through and demanded registration I stopped and deleted it. I still have the icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen and don't know how to remove it. If this is not possible I can live with it. I am new to Mac and have trouble divorcing myself from my old PC habits!

Hi Terence, When I am uploading photos from a memory card,not all of the photos show up on I photo as a photo image, but show up as a dotted square line. For example, I just added 12 photo from two days. The first day had 5 photos, but only 4 show up as images, then there is 1 as dotted a square. The next day, there 7 images, with only 4 showing up as photos, and three as the dotted squares.
I am using I photo 11, 9.1.1.

Thanks Ned. I did find this page, however it isn't an upgrade. I have been purchasing Adobe products for years so that I could just pay the upgrade price for current products. With the current system, I would be paying much more than I would for an upgrade. For example, I have been using my version of CS for at least three years. The upgrade cost me $750 so that comes out to around $21 per month. I guess I have no options as far as upgrading except for paying for the overpriced CC. Oh well, time to start looking for alternatives. It was just so convenient to have the same programs at home that I use at work.

SO, do I delete the app off of both the old 3g phone AND the imac, then reinstall on ONLY the imac, then re sync? OR, should I delete off computer, repurchase on computer then re-sync with new iphone4? I realize this is kind of roundabout, but the issue I ran into was too much stuff on my old 8GB 3G, and I was stuck on iOS3 FOREVER (couldn't upgrade to iOS4) soooo, I deleted a whole bunch of piddly apps from the phone ONLY, which then allowed me to update to iOS4 (on the 3G). Then, I could sync (which I did, but obviously not everything transferred, b/c when I synced the new 32 GB iphone 4, there are particular apps {doodle buddy and groove, my tap fish...} that are missing the in app purchases, but these are still on the old 8GB 3G). Not easily, no. There's no direct transfer option between POP and IMAP, especially across email providers. The best you could do would be to forward all of your emails to your new address, although it's not clear that you need to - dropping your sbcglobal.net account doesn't instantly render all your existing mail void - it'll still be in your Mail client, you can still read it, search it, etc., it just won't be on your provider's server.

MobileMe would be viable, especially if you're interested in synching your various iOS devices. It's not free, of course, unlike Yahoo and Gmail, although you've already discounted them...

If you are referring to Cookie from SweetP Productions, I have tried it and not found it to work reliably, so I cannot recommend it. I've had the best results with the same company's free Safari Cookies, though it's not perfect (none of the cookie managers are, unfortunately):

The phone was dropped and subsequently repaired through insurance in Sept 2011 and they issued me with another imea number so the complete internals of the phone must have been replaced by them so I hope that the fault is covered by their normal warranty on work carried out. Thanks for your reply.
