I was dragging a folder and now can not find the folder at all
Hello,
is there any way to find a folder that is now lost on my MacBook Pro. I was dragging the folder from the finder window to another folder using the mouse tracking on my MacBook Pro laptop. But I didn't get a chance to reach the other folder and lost the file. I check every where on the laptop using the search and nothing. Even check the trash can nothing still. A folder containing about a 1000 pictures just vanish.
Please help me fiind this folder.

Hi, would you believe that I did that too. I have the iimages on Lightroom so I keep typing in the file name and nothing. I am like going mad with this.
I don't even understand how a folder can disappear just like that. I have been up all night trying to do everything. The Mac is not like Windows where at least you have some history of what n where files could be.
I know I didn't go to the trash, because it didn't ask me and nothing of the sort of replacing folders or files.
I'm at a lost.

Welcome to the Apple community.
A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals. -
I purchased an ipad for my husband in 12/2011 - it was stolen last night and i can't find the receipt with insurance and warranty.
The warraty doesn't cover lost or stolen.
If the iPad was running iOS 7, the thief/finder will not ever be able to use it.

Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

Hi, Need help. I am trying to download the latest iTunes for Windows application but on running the program it says that it can not be completed as it can not find the folder location of the file "iTunes.msi" . Any clues would be appreciated
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

Suddenly all of my Office-programs have stopped working and will not launch on my MacBook. They were all already installed when I bought the computer. Have you tried Help>Updates from within photoshop cs6 to get either camera raw 8.3 or 8.7.1, which should enable photoshop cs6 to open the canon 5D Mark III files.
(version of camera raw depends on your operating system)

If you're upgrading your phone, I would recommend that you backup your old phone to your computer using iTunes. Restoring an iTunes backup to your new phone will be much faster than restoring an iCloud backup, and possibly more reliable too.
To back it up to iTunes, connect it to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, then go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now. The go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
When setting up your new phone, when given the option, choose Restore from iTunes Backup and restore this backup to your new phone. It will include your camera roll and other data; restoring the backup will will also sync your apps and other iTunes media from your iTunes library to your new phone. -
Closed project tab and now can not find fcp file - is it gone really?
I was working on a fifteen minute documentary. Completed it, created a DVD and noticed a mistake as I was reviewing the dvd. Since I (Thought) I was done working on the project - I closed the tab and opened up a new project to begin working... Now I am trying to open up my documentary fcp file, and i can't find it anywhere... The only copy that is located when I try spotlight - is a version of it that I was working on 5 days ago, before most of the changes were made...
Any ideas?when you closed the tab you wil have been presented with a dialog telling you the project had been modified and asking you if you wanted to save the changes (Cancel, Save As, No and Yes) ... if you inadvertently pressed "No" then you you closed it without saving those changes.
assuming you are not so crazy as to edit without using the Autosave feature, take a look in your autosave directory, find you project folder and look for th emost recent save of that project ... even tho you didnt save at the end you should have at least a couple of autosave vesrions there -

Click the Summary tab, and your iPod's serial number will display on screen. For iPod shuffle (1st and 2nd generation), click the Settings tab.
If your iPod is not currently connected to your computer, but has been connected to your iTunes library before, follow these instructions:
Hold down the Control key and choose Help > About iTunes (Windows) or iTunes > About iTunes (Mac).
Release the Control key.
As the iTunes and QuickTime version information scrolls, you will see the serial number of the last connected iPod as well as the last connected iPhone's serial number and IMEI.
Tips:
Hold down the Option key (Shift key in Windows) to reverse the scrolling.
Press the Space bar to pause the scrolling.
You can copy this information to the Clipboard and and paste it into a document.
In Mac OS X, choose Edit > Copy (or Command-C).
In Windows, press Control-C.
Note: In iTunes, when you view the iPod serial number, you can choose Edit > Copy to put the serial number on the Clipboard. You can then paste the serial number into an email or web page (for registration, for example). -
i activated the voiceover feature and now i can not deactivate the feature. from general it keeps going reading and does not scroll

I have an Epson R2400 and I can not find the driver for borderless printing
I have two Epson printers; I added the first, a R200 using the Printer Utility and in the add printer screen it asked me what page setup I wanted. I chose ALL and it gives me the ability to print borderless prints. I then added the R2400 using he Printer Utility but the "page setup" is grayed out and I do not have a borderless print option o this printer.
I have tried deleting the R2400 from the list of printers and adding it again without success.
I am using the drivers that came on the CD-ROM with the printer.
Has anyone had a similar experience with the R2400 borderless print issue and might anyone have an answer?
