You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Are you saying you've lost the "Basic" tool tab?
If yes, just right-click on one of the other tabs and select "Basic" from the context menu that's presented.

Well, you have also "hidden" what version of OS X you are using from anyone who might want to help you.
You are probably using a newer version than I am, but I don't know that these things have changed.
In the Finder, from the Finder menu > Preferences …, there should be a Sidebar pane to choose what is visible.
Also in the Finder, Go menu > Computer (or type Shift Command C) will open a Finder window with any attached volumes showing.

Firefox doesn't store bookmarks like that, sound like a Windows / IE favorites scheme used for '''''url''''' files and folders which isn't directly compatible with the way Firefox does things. Firefox uses a '''json''' file for bookmark backups, a '''bookmarks.html''' for import and export is bookmarks, and stores the users bookmarks in the '''places.sqlite''' file, along with browsing history.
Put those folders and bookmarks in the '''\user\Favorites\''' folder so they are in IE and export your IE Favorites in HTML format, so you can import them into Firefox.

If you bought them on your iPad then they should have downloaded into the iPad's Videos app - is that where you are looking for them ?
If they aren't there then have you tried searching for them via the iPad's spotlight search screen ? Pull down the centre of the home screen in iOS 7, swipe your first home screen to the right in iOS 6 and below.

If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar via control-S on a PC, option-command-S on a PC, that might make it easier to navigate.
Then connect the iPod to your computer and select it on that left-hand sidebar, and on the right-hand side of iTunes there should be a series of tabs, including one for Music - if you select that tab you should be able to select which of your iTunes music to sync to the iPod.

Our public library uses Adobe Digital Editions but I cannot find out how to get books from ADE onto iTunes.

Try Overdrive - it allows for reading of digital books that many libraries use, and I believe will work with ADE.

Check to make sure that Contacts is toggled on to sync by going to Settings > iCloud. Also go to iCloud.com to see if the contacts are showing up there to see if it syncing those contacts.

Cannot figure out how to get 3rd party plugins to load

I'm attempting to use 3rd party plugins (specifically, ValhallaFreqEchoMkI 1.01), and I cannot figure out how to get them to show up in MainStage (ver 3.0.4). I know how to use native plugins as chanel strips and in the Audio FX section on the strip, but I cannot figure out how to ACCESS the patches I have downloaded. Please help!

I made the mistake of using home sharing which of course turned out to be useless as soon as I turned my computer off, within minutes my ipod library disappeared. Have you double checked to make sure these Audiobooks are configured to sync to your iPod from under the iPod's Books configuration tab in iTunes? This is assuming that the audiobooks are already stored in your iTunes library and appear under the Books category.
To access this configuration tab, plug in your iPod and select it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes to bring yourself to the iPod's Summary tab. Now locate the Books tab across the top in the main iTunes window and select it. Here you can configure what and how audiobooks are synced to the device.
If you make any changes to this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button on in the lower right hand corner. This will sync the updated changes to your device.
