I was trying to figure out how to stop my pinned apps from disappearing after I've shut-down my computer during storms. In the process of trying things I lost the Orange Firefox drop down box in the upper left corner. How do I get it back?

Question 1 - How do I restore the Orange Firefox drop-down box that was originally at the top of the screen.
Question 2 - How do I undo the last command I changed
Question 3 - How do I prevent my pinned apps from disappearing. I have about 10 loaded and it's a pain to have to reload those several days a week. Seems to only happen if I shut down the computer.

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden.
*View > Toolbars > Customize
*Right-click a toolbar).
*Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.

How do I put my tabs back up beside the orange firefox drop down menu?

I have an Acer Mini. In order to optimize screen space, I closed most of the toolbars down, leaving the navigation bar and the tabs on top. They appeared in the blue space beside the orange "firefox" drop down menu. I turned away from the laptop to tend to my baby and when I turned back, my 2 yr old was mashing keys. I don't know what he did, but now I can't get the tabs back up there.

Upper-right corner of Firefox, hit the center of the 3 buttons to Maximize the browser window.

My phone does not have any service, but works fine on wifi, but I cannot make calls or receive them. Help.

@tatmab When that happens to me I just move around until I get service back. If that dont work call tech support to see if the towers could be having some kind of issue.

How to stop my sons apps (from his account) being downloaded to my iphone (on my account)

My son has his own account so he can download free apps, the problem is, these apps are being added to my iphone when I sync to itunes even though I am signed into my account.
I thought apps downloaded to a specific account would only be availble if that device was associated with that account. I checked his account settings and my iphone is not linked to his account.
Any help appreciated as I am sick of having to delete every bloody flappy app from my phone evertime I sync.

The trouble is I need automatic downloads on to sync apps etc between my phone and ipad. What I don't get is why I am getting apps downloaded via my sons account when his account is not linked to my devices.

Iphone apps would be where you would find ipod compatible apps. Under the product description it will tell you what devies are compatible.

How to stop previously open apps from reopening at startup?

Several apps (not listed in User & Groups > (current user) > Login Items) are re-opening at startup. I also leave un-checked the "Reopen windows when logging back in" setting. Please help.

First thing I did was:
1. Go to System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items (uncheck unwanted startup apps)
2. Following infinite vortex's instructions:
- quitting all your apps
- navigate to Library folder (option clicking in the Go menu if necessary)
HD > Library > Preferences (folder) > Find all occurances of files that start with com.apple.loginwindow ... delete them. Restart immediately.

How do I get out of "full screen" view. When I put my crusor at the top of the screen I get SOME menus showing, but nothe the "firefox" drop-down where I selected full screed (I was just trying to zoom out, actually)

I think the question pretty well summed it up. I selected full screen mode from the "firefox" drop-down box at the top left, but once in full screen mode, the drop-down box is not available. How do I get back to the standard view??

Press the F11 key to toggle into and out of full screen mode.
Or, move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen and right-click the "+" (new tab) button, or in a blank area of the tab bar, or in a blank area after the address box, and exit full screen mode from the context menu.

I recently set up multiple accounts and when I was trying to figure out how to share files I messed up something in my documents. Everytime I open a doc from the ADMIN account, a box pops up that says "The file is not in the correct format" how to fix?

When logged into the Admin account, I open up any document and I get a message box that says, "The Document could not be opened. The file isn't in the correct format. The file might be corrupted, truncated, or in an unexpected format." What did I do and how do I fix it?

Without knowing what you did it is impossible to give advice on how to correct it.
If these were files you copied over from some other system then just Re-Copy them replacing the ones that are corrupted.
Other then that I suggest you Wipe the drive and start over with a clean reinstall of the OS and programs. Then if you want to share files to All Accounts place those files in a folder in the ROOT of the drive.
