Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

Next step, if safe mode did not work.
First: Try a clean install, (you have had a none standard version installed previously) that involves deleting the program files. Then if necessary try troubleshooting by creating and using a clean empty Firefox profile.

Have just reinstalled PE12. Trying to access Editor - asks for ADOBE ID which I enter but program does not load.

Had problems with having the serial number acknowledged by the Photoshop Elements 12 (Organiser worked fine but Editor wouldn't open).
Chat support suggested I delete and reinstall program from an Adobe website download link. Have done that and now have slightly different problem.
Organiser still works fine but Editor asks for ADOBE ID which I enter but editor program does not load.
ADOBE website clearly confirms the product is registered against my ID.
Chat support now saying that they no longer provide support for PE12 Editor - only 13!
This is in direct conflict with the support advertised in the product's "Getting Started" brochure.
Only purchased PE 12 a couple of months ago (just prior to PE13 release) - find that this is pretty poor service.

I just uninstalled PSE 12 through control panel and yet in Windows Explorer I see it listed under the Program Files (x86)/Adobe. Photoshop Elements 8.0 is also in that directory. I have been trying to uninstall PSE 8 but keep getting error 1316. To further complicate the situation when I tried to reinstall PSE 12 yesterday I got a message that I needed to create a new folder. So I have Program Files (x86)/Elements 12 Organizer now even though I just uninstalled PSE 12.
I am so confused and frustrated! I have wasted 3 days trying to resolve this. PSE 12 was working great until a few days ago. I do have a backup of my catalog on an external hard drive. I just need to talk to someone on the phone or a live chat.

In Firefox 4 and 5.0 when I go to addons - I see my addons and themes - but I am unable to access (or even see) anything new that is not already installed. Using Wndows XP Pro.

Using Windows XP Pro. Mysteriously some time ago - I lost the ability to add new addon's because I can't even lookup new addons from the addon area. Moving from 3.6 to 4.0 did not correct it and moving to 5.0 did not correct it either.
Literally - I can search for addons I know exist at Mozilla - and the searches show "no results" (from the addon area). Its as if I can use the browser for everything but accessing Moxilla in the addon area.
P.S. Firewall and antivirus shut off in attempts :-) Even then - its as if I'm "blind" to seeing new addon choices from the addon area (true for themes, plugins, etc.).

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.

If you intend to keep using iCloud on your iPad, your best course of action would be to update your Apple ID/iCloud information so that you have a known password and it is associated with an active email address. You may find the following articles helpful:

I need to reset my Apple ID on my ipad. My internet provider was bought by another company, so my user name changed. So now, when I go into itunes or the app store, I cannot update anything because it asks for my password, but not my apple id.

My internet provider changed, so my username changed. I need to be able to reset my appleid NOT my password. I can't find a way to do this. Here is a scenario. I want to go into the app store to update apps, so a box pops up asking for my password, but shows my appleid as the old name. I have reset the appleid on my mac and itunes at home and works there, but when I try to go into things on the ipad, it automatically comes up with a window asking for my password, but for my old id name. I went to the manage your id section, but it won't let me in because it wants the password to the old name. So I think I need to reregister the ipad with my new userid. Icloud, Itunes, app store, everything like that won't let me in because they still show the user id as the old name.

On the iPad - go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. Tap on your old ID and sign out. Then sign in with your changed/new ID.

Does this only open on that specific site?
In any case, you may want to:
- instruct Firefox to handle PDF files in a specific way by going into Tools > Options > Applications and selecting the option you want for the PDF files
- reinstall Adobe Reader and its Firefox plugin
- install another reader instead of Adobe Reader. I recommend Foxit Reader ( http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/ ), since it's free, VERY light, VERY fast, safe and also has a Firefox plugin (make sure you don't have both Adobe Reader plugin and Foxit Reader plugin enabled/installed at the same time in Firefox)

They made an error with the update in only listing it as compatible with Firefox 4.0, so they will not install on Firefox 4.0.1 and subsequent Firefox security updates.
