That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. Flash Player is a browser add-on, not an executable program.
If you need to open a local SWF file you will need the standalone player (Projector) from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Note that the download is the player, not an installer, so you will need to make the file association manually.

After loading a picture into Photoshop some of the menu tools are greyed out and I cannot use the keyboard short cuts, for instance I cannot use Ctrl + T for free transform, how do I resolve this problem. In addition the tool Icons are so small I have to get close to the screen to see them, is there anyway the Icons can be made bigger without reducing the resolution of the screen.

Are you working on a background layer? If so, Ctrl + T will not work. Press Alt and double-click your background layer to convert to a normal layer (or right-click BG layer and select Layer from Background) and try again.
If you're working in Photoshop CC 2014 you can go to Preferences > Experimental Features and tick "Scale UI 200% for high-density displays" to make your buttons and icons larger.

I just did the update to iOS 7.1 and now cannot use my Facebook app on my ipad. It won't open, it just crashes. I can access it via the internet and can still use the app on my iPhone (which also has the update) but not on my ipad. Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions?

I've followed all the recommended steps for disk space limitations and still cannot download emails. Recommendations please.

I'm running the latest OS on my iMac, and I do not use anti-virus software. I have deleted all but a few emails from my Trash and compacted all folders. The Alert message, "There is not enough disk space to download new messages. Try deleting old mail, emptying the Trash folder, and compacting your mail folders, and then try again." continues to appear.

the issue can be caused by a lack of physical disk space, a lack of quota in the disk (user account full), file locking and contention (such a an anti virus or backup program trying to access the same space at the same time. Time machine features in some peoples problems) or as the message suggest large Thunderbird files. As you have looked at the Thunderbird issues, perhaps it is time to look t the broader picture.

My iPhone goes through most of the steps to synch with iTunes and then stops. iTunse eventually times out on the synch. How do I fix this ?

When I try to synch my iPhone 4 with iTunes - both at the latest code levels - the synch goes normally until the last stage where I get the message Finishing sync. It nevers completes. Eventually it times out and states that the iPhone is not responding. On the phone the sync icon has gone away so the iPhone thinks that it is done.

More information. During the synch process this last time it moved through the first 5 steps fine. At some point during the "Waiting for items to copy" the iPhone stopped showing the sync icon.

I have upgraded from firefox 4 to firefox 5 and now it crashes and will not open at all just produces an error box to submit the fault. I have submitted and now cannot use firefox at all cannot open it cannot use it cannot do anything with it.

I have this problem with Firefox 5.0 too. You are forced to reboot when access to 5.0 is denied. I had so many problems with 4.0 as well. I am so tired of the crashes and seeing that popup window to send your comments, it is ridiculous. I also find in 5.0 that mouse controls are fruitless and sometimes take over. The pages will jump forward or back, the pull down menus do not function, clicking boxes in online email don't work and pages will zoom in or out by themselves. I have three computers with different operating systems that this happens with. All these updates by programmers are crap. I thought I set firefox to not update automatically, since updates seem to be worse than the previous version, but it happens anyway. I will surf for an older version or switch to something else. Too bad because after 10+ years, they are losing my loyalty.

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."

4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.
