Published module (.swf) will play in Firefox but not IE

Does anyone know why a .swf file would play fine in Mozilla Firefox, but not load at all in Internet Explorer?   I have six of these that I’ve uploaded to our intranet production server (where they should work fine). They all play fine in Firefox. In IE I get a blank screen that just hangs forever. I don't even get the loading screen (which plays correctly in Firefox.) They are published with Captivate 4 for Flash 8. I am using IE 7 with Flash 10 on Windows XP to try to play them. I’ve Googled the problem and searched the Captivate forums and can’t find anything on this.
This is a major problem for us, as our company standard is IE and these training modules are intended for all staff. We were hoping to roll them out to all staff next week. Could this be something that is local to my machine (which is new)?   If so, how do we troubleshoot it to make sure it won’t happen to other users in the field when we roll this training out?
The modules play in IE fine from my local hard drive.   I've also modified my IE and Flash settings to list the sites as trusted sites and always allow content.
I've got to get this figured out ASAP... any suggestions would be appreciated!

Firefox - I have version 10,1,85,3 installed
I followed two sets of instructions. One related to the putting FakeFlash.exe in the ExecutablePublish folder. However, that didn't fix the problem I was experiencing. Then I Followed instructions from:

which told me to replace the CPAnimationUtils.dll file in the installations folder.
This did correct my problem.

I get error messages when I try to visit certain websites using Mozilla Firefox but not when I use other browsers

About two days ago I noticed that when I tried to access certain websites using Firefox I always got this error message; "The connection was reset". I initially thought it was a problem with my isp before noticing that the network was fine on my phone and iPad. I then attempted opening the same links that brought up the error message on the TorBrowser and it worked perfectly.
Basically the only website that works on my Firefox browser right now is Google but if I do a search on Google and then click on any link that comes up as a result I get the same error message, "The connection was reset". I can also log into my gmail account but I cannot access any other website including Feedly, Tumblr, Twitter, Yahoo, Wordpress, Blogspot, even though they work fine on my other browser.
I cleared my cache and cookies, wiped out all the browsing history but the problem persisted so I uninstalled Mozilla Firefox and reinstalled it. The problem is still there. I checked the proxy settings, I went through all the solutions on this page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can?esab=a&as=aaq and still nothing. I am not sure what the problem is here but any solution will be much appreciated. I have used Firefox for years now and I am not really comfortable using another browser.

Please boot unit to Bios using F10 key once unit is powered on go to Diagnostics check if the Hard Drive is getting detected. If not getting detected reseat the HDD & check if not issue with HDD & Solt of HDD.
If the HDD is getting detected under Bios please run the HDD test check if that passed.
Then under system configaration change the Boot order to CD/DVD to be First.
Insert the CD restart the unit or press Esc Button unit should detect the RCD in drive and give you the recovery option still does not work issue with DVD/HDD.
Let us know how it goes!

CallExternalInterface perfect in Firefox , but not working in Safari?

I finally figured out how to implement the callExternalInterface code. All works perfect in Firefox, but when I test in Safari, I get nothing. Any ideas at all would be helpful. Below is the code...

Using Mac Mail program. Firefox is my default browser. When I double click a URL link attachment, it won't open in Firefox. If I drag the link onto my desktop, I can double click on it and it will open in Firefox, but not directly from inside my e-mail.

Hi mp, I had to go back to your other thread, which I would like you to do. Go here and find Post#7. I need to know what Flash Files are Installed. If you need direction to locate the Flash folder, just tell me. What it sounds like is that the Flash files for IE are not correct. So, we need to find out.
Let's stay on that other thread since all of your info is there.

IPhoto updated to 9.6 to be used with Yosemite but not working.

I upgraded my macbook pro software to Yosemite, and upgraded all my apps, including I Photo, in order for them to be compatible with Yosemite. However when I go to open I Photo it has a no entry sign around it and says I must upgrade as it isn't compatible. It is the most up to date version available but when I go to 'get info' for the app, it says it's version is 9.5. Although as far as myself and the app store are aware it has been upgraded and is 9.6! all apps are fully up to date. So confused, I've googled it and done everything I can think of and no one else seems to have this problem, Please help!!!!

Move the iPhoto 9.5 application to the Trash, then restart the App Store and sign into the store with your apple ID. Open the "Purchased" tab.
What does the button besides "iPhoto" say? If you see "Install" , let it install again. If it says "Open", click "Open" to run.
If you can get iPhoto to run this way, ctrl-click the Dock icon and click "options > Show in Finder", to see, where it is installed.

That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":

Why does the FP 10 work with firefox but not with IE8

Ok Shag, since you hadn't been on a Forum before, then I'll take some of what I said back:-) I wanted you to stay on one thread, you can get in trouble trying things that may cause you more problems than you had in the beginning. I just had your best interest at heart

Now since you say you fixed it, what you should do is to confirm it is fixed by taking a look at your Flash folder. This contains all of the Flash files for IE and FF. Then make sure you have the IE add on and the FF add on. That way if you have any future problems, at least you would know it is not the Flash Player.
You should only have 2 .exe files for IE and 1 for FF.
For Video editing, I would check Microsoft and see what they have. Perhaps someone else will come along with other info for you.
No, I don't get paid here, since I am not an employee. Just a user helping others, since I had a problem at one time and after 4 hours of researching solved it.

I recommend trying CDBurnerXP for burning video CD's. I have been using it for years without a glitch. I use it mainly for burning ISO's, but have used it for all types. Please let us know if it works or not.

Flash buttons work in FireFox but not IE

I'd take all the elements that make up the button, and convert that into a symbol. Then you can go to labels with your code without worrying about the main timeline. Put all your code on the elements themselves, and not on the symbol instance.

By default, the hit area of a div in HTML is its bounding box. Right off the top of my head, I'm not sure there's a way to change it...maybe someone else can chip in?
