if you’ve installed the Xcode compiler and its “command line tools” add-on, there’s a lot of text-mode games for which source code can be downloaded and compiled. Back in the Neolithic Age when I was at university, Empire was a multiplayer favorite (see here for one of its current offspring, which can run multiplayer over the Internet, and for which a text-mode client is still available), and Rogue was popular for when solitary play was the only available option.

The RAM manufacturer can be Samsung, what really matters is the mainboard manufacturer.
System manufacturers like HP does not manufacture all the components of the laptop.
They use components manufactured by other vendors. But since your computer is HP branded, it doesn't matter which RAM the computer has, the RAM has been tested by HP and has the same reliability and quality that you would expect from a HP product. If something goes wrong with the RAM, HP will replace the RAM, not Samsung.
This is NOT something unique to HP alone, it's the same for every computer manufacturer.
As an example, you can check a Lenovo laptop, you will still see that the hard disk is manufactured by Western Digital.
But generally, the motherboard should always be manufactured by HP, if the computer is a genuine HP.
As your mainboard is made by HP, the computer is genuine.
And if you've purchased the computer from a reputed store, there's no need to be worried.
It's a very rare incident when a trustworthy showroom will sell you a product that's branded HP but not manufactured by HP, or will open the computer themselves and alter the internal components. It's almost unheard of.

Screen protectors are for protection against scratches, not for protection against the iPod being dropped. As to the case, you may wish to take this issue up with the case manufacturer, though again, most claim protection only against scratches and mars, not against being dropped. Either way, such damage is not covered by the devices. warranty.
As to cost, Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here (as also mentioned by Limnos):

There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPod serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further warranty will be void.

I presume you mean that your iPod touch has been stolen, not that you stole it which of course means something much different.
If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled or the iPod been completely restored).
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. Contact the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPod (the iTunes Store, for instance).

I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2008), Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz, 4GB Memory. and am currently running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
I would like to know which is the most stable upgrade for my model? Mountain Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite?
When I had gone to the apple care centre in India a few months ago to upgrade my OSX to Mountain Lion, I was told that considering my macbook pro's specs, upgrading it would just make it less efficient, and that I should stick to Snow Leopard unless I consider buying a newer mac that would benefit from it. Is this true? I find it a bit hard to believe. Which update is most recommended?
I also notice that my mac has gotten considerably slower. While using chrome, it buffers and struggles with even just 5 tabs open. Could this have something to do with my current ios? As a precaution, I have always been making sure I have enough free space on disk i.e around 70 - 100 free out of 250GB.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.Mavericks is no longer available from the App Store, so your choice is Yosemite. One option is to create a new partition (~30- 50 GB), install the new OS, and ‘test drive’ it. If you like/don’t like it it, you can then remove the partition. Do a backup before you do anything. By doing this, if you don’t like it you won't have to go though the revert process.

I have searched for Adobe Edge/HTML5 animation galleries and haven't been able to find anything.
It does not have to be limited to Adobe Edge, though it would be nice if the galleries display animations that are possible to be created in Adobe Edge. As far as I know, there are not currently any VI's for Multivariate Data Analysis available for LabVIEW. I have seen various pieces of software that perform MVDA, but unfortunately I have not seen this done directly from within LabVIEW.

The easiest way would probably be to recover the data of the old account and change it to match your current info, after that you can continue to use the account without any problems. To recover your account go to: Apple - My Apple ID
Alternatively if you want to start a new account do it and then contact iTunes support to see if the y can transfer your purchases (I know of cases on which they have done it)
