LV doesn't have any sort of Startup folder as we are a little concerned
about the security issues this brings about. You can specify VIs on the
command line for LV to open. And VIs can be set to run when opened.
Combining these features, you wind up using the system's Startup folder,
placing either a batch file or a shortcut to LV with the command line
options added to list out the VIs, and finally, set the VI properties
so
that the VIs run when opened.

I would not add or upgrade to 32GB RAM. You can get 8 x 2GB for $100 on Amazon.
Those 250GB HDD are "old" and slow and overdue to be replaced, reformat and use t o backup the system.
Samsung 250GB SSD is down to $150 or so on Amazon also.
The 5770 is gone, hard to find, EOL and over charged for when you do find one.
you could look into how to use a PC 6870 or others.
Or, you could hold out and wait for a refresh of Mac-Mini which can be just as fast or faster and run Mavericks.

Time Machine is one such program, although it is a recursive backup program which offers limited archive capability, based on the capacity of the backup destination, and it requires you set it up before you start editing your files. Some programs are also Versions aware, which offers a kind of restore capability by file. Again needs to be setup before you start editing.

Yes. If you want to do it yourself, there are several retailers who offer replacement parts and step-by-step guides on how to swap out the display. One such place is http://www.ifixit.com/.
You can also choose to do an out of warranty exchange with Apple for the prices show on this page. They don't actually repair the iPod though, but instead swap out your iPod for a refurbished one of the same capacity and generation.

Lastly, you can choose a third party service center who can replace the screen for you. Google for "iPod Touch screen repair" for a number of results.

Don't daisy-chain the camera with Hard Drives
The camera only uses a data rate of 200Mbps and the differences in Hard Drive data speeds can be an issue.
The External iSIght should work no matter what Firmware is on there currently.
There is some evidence that having the 1.0.3 version (Open the System Profiler > Hardware > Firewire) on the device makes it more compatible/useable in later OS versions
The Updater is included in Tiger and Leopard.

Not officially for sale in the US, at the present time, although Apple's flagship store on 5th Ave, in New York City, gets supplies from time-to-time. However, no GSM US model iPhone 5 will support LTE anywhere other than North America. It will not support LTE in Europe. If you want LTE support in Europe, you need to purchase your phone in Europe.

I'm a bit stumped with a problem to do with flash catalyst and whether its possible to have things occur without the viewer doing anything.
For example would it be possible for a webpage to open and have images load from an XML file, then every few seconds automatically fade from one to the other in a loop (without the webpage viewer doing anything)?
If so, would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction on how I would do it?

However, you also mention that you wish to load the images via XML. Flash Catalyst does not directly support this. You will need to take your Flash Catalyst project into Flash Builder to add the Actionscript to load the XML. Since you have to do this, I would not recommend the suggestion of using a flv as a timer, but control the timing via code.

Not sure where you heard that, but it's wrong. Apple doesn't cover lost phones under any circumstances, just like an auto manufacturer doesn't repeal your car if it's stolen. That's what insurance is for. Your carrier may have an option if you signed up for insurance through them. Or your credit card company, or your homeowner's/renter's insurance might.
But not Apple.
