Numbers is a joke compared to Excel. If I were you I would find a class/tutorial first, find out what they use (and it won't be Numbers) and see if you need the Mac or Windows version of Excel. Note that Excel is not sold as a seperate product from the Microsoft Office suites.

Serial numbers for older versions do not work across platforms.
At one time, when the product was current, you could get Adobe to switch you to the other platform, but I don't know whether Adobe will do that for old versions. I do know it's not going to work if you try to use your Windows license for a Mac installation.

I have downloaded MAMP for Mac and want to use it for working with Wordpress. I'm on an Imac with Maverick OS 10.9. I had mysql installed before this and would like to uninstall it and use MAMP. It was easy to turn off Apache and PHP but don't know how to uninstall mysql. Please help!!
It depends on how you installed it. You have to shutdown the MySQL service first. If you used the standard, but obsolete Startup Item, you can do that with the Startup Item. If you created a launchd script, you can do it with launchctl. Once MySQL is no longer running, you can delete the Startup Item or launchd script and the rest of MySQL.

Unless things have changed, there are separate S/N's for the PC and the Mac versions.
I would immediately contact Adobe Customer Support (not Technical Support), and explain the error. I feel that they will be able to help you with replacing the PC version.

Help! I downloaded Blackberry for Mac and synch'd 2 days ago only to lose all pre 20 Nov emails!!!
Hello I have had a terrible error occur on synching with Blackberry for Mac. I downloaded the desktop manager a couple of days ago so I could synch my calendar and when I connected, it said I didn't have the latest versions on my BB so these were downloaded and added to my BB before I synched the calendar. This seemed to reset lots of things on my BB which meant I had to take a long time to add themes, input registration codes again for 3rd parties, set up the look of my BB again which was irritating but not that bad. The terrible thing is that I have lost all my messages including those in the saved folders prior to the time I synched.
Does anyone know of a fix for this please? I am desperate!

Did you create a backup prior to the update of the software? To check go into Device at the top, and click on restore. If it does show a backup file there then you can restore your email messages. If not, then you will not get the emails back.

Download Acrobat for Mac AND Windows
I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro ver XI online. Web site said purchase price entitles purchaser to install on 2 separate computers. After making purchase, when I went to download software, I noted that order says I bought the full Windows version. I was never asked whether I wanted Windows or Mac versions, I suspect it detected the machine I was using. I need product for two computers, one is Windows based, the other is a Mac. How do I download and install product to both computers? And if I cannot, I prefer to download to my Mac, how do I switch what I purchased. I have not yet downloaded anything at all. Thanks for your help.

As said already by JJMack, you cannot do that.
Photoshop CS6, CC & CC 2014 only install a 64-bit version on Mac OS.
Photoshop CS5 installs a version that can launch in either 32 bit or 64 bit when you install on a 64-bit version of Mac OS (Mac OS X 10.5 or later). If you are using Mac OS X 10.4 or earlier, then Photoshop only installs the 32-bit version.
Photoshop CS4 installs a 32-bit version only.

You can run Windows 7 in Parallels. You do not need to run Boot Camp Assistant to install Windows if using Parallels. Visit the Parallels site for instructions regarding running Windows in Parallels.

I have moved from the UK to Canada and would like to pay for subscriptions in Canadian dollars rather than sterling pounds. Also I would like to take up Creative Cloud subscription offer because I qualified as a prior purchaser of CS packages.
How do I go about this?I did that - nothing happen... I have changed my adobe ID and all address to my Canada home.
Having log myself out and re-log back in to start the Creative Cloud subscription. The payment still shows in Sterling Pounds.
This is difficult as I am no longer earning Sterling pounds as a wage and the subscription would automatically be doubled payment, because Canadian $ is less in currency exchange to the UK Sterling Pound.

iTunes only syncs to Apple devices.
Assuming the media is not DRM protected, any of the media can be dragged and dropped from iTunes onto other drives (external, flash, etc) as the user chooses.
