ICan't ReInstall my computer please help. need to use Mac for school next week
I use my Mac for School and stuff happened.
Long story short.
1) I tried to reset my Mac Book Pro computer and I did.( by pressing option key and go to disk utility and erase tab and erase)
2) then I know I was supposed to go to Reinstall OS X Lion and I did but I quit. (took 10 hrs and plus my internet is bad and couldn't DL the other stuff)
3) I remembered that I had a recovery disk. so I inserted it and I went to the disk utility, dragged the Macintosh HD to the restore tab, destination, and it copied my recovery disk data? to my Machintosh HD and the name of it changed to Mac OS X Base System ( the name of my recovery disk)
4) and I tried to restart, shut down my computer, it sends me to the same Mac OS Utilities. Again.
5) so I went to Reinstall Mac OS Lion, agreed, and the download destination usually should be the Macintosh HD ( for me its Mac OS X Base System right now) but it said it is locked (because I'm dumb) and i can't install it now.
6) i don't know what to do now because this is not my computer that I'm sending this support from. and I can't use my original Mac Book. what should I do?
AND I NEED TO USE THE MAC NEXT WEEK FOR SCHOOL.

For those who wonder why I wanted to reset/restore my MacBook Pro or, want to hear the long story:
I play League of Legends, Steam, Osu! on my Mac and it took alot of capacity (or space).
And League of Legends has thisthing called "Item sets" that when you save it, it doesnt save it in the client (or app), it saves the "item sets" data in your computer (took alot of capacity/space)
Not just that, and I had iPhoto but when i downloaded iLife to my mac, and after that, it said my iPhoto is damaged and it can't open.
And summer ended, my parents said If I fail my 11th grade, they are going to kick me out so I told them I'm going to reset my Mac to factory settings and get a fresh start, well this happened.
hi there! I got it back to work by buying the USB version of Mac OS X Lion 10.7
and since my internet connections are kinda bad, I'm not able to download and update it to 10.7.5.
but anyways I got it back to work.
All I can say is I suggest you to buy the USB version of Mac OS X Lion 10.7 from amazon or apple store.

Please help, need to use stems for final audio output
Hi, hoping somebody can help. Finished a editing a feature due tomorrow and the sound designer gave me a final stereo mix that's a half hour too short. But he also gave me the "stems" and said I could adjust them as if I knew anything about audio.
Here's the question, I have DX, FX, MX, ME and VO files. Don't know which are redundant. Can output myself if I know which ones to use. Please, if you know, share?

Try just putting each of those in separate tracks.
Make sure the line up by playing the master and listening for an echo. Then just start turning off the tracks until you get what you need. It certainly looks like some will have some internal redundancy. I don't understand all his terminology, but it's apparent that he has mixes that split out the voice tracks so you can drop in foreign language voices later. So the ME and VO sets will duplicate what's found in some of the others. -
I can open files on my desktop and I can only open them by right click then open. Please help ASAP. I am using this MacBook for school. Pls help asap

I have an iMAC w/OS 10.7.5. I was working in Firefox today and as I was entering letters it changed to unrecognizable characters so I had to exit the application. Firefox froze up and after trying to re-open it many times, I finally tried uninstalling and then re-installing. When trying to open a new download, I am given an error message saying that firefox is already open or that files are missing. I spent approx 2 hrs on the phone with Apple support and they were unable to locate problem and I am now turning to you for help. I need this fixed desperately and ASAP as the program that I use for work will only run on Firefox.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

Hi I use my phone for conference calls and use the microphone jack to connect to speakers. It doesnt work when making phone calls but when i play music on the phone the jack works with the external speaker.

Help needed in using POI for manipulating Word files

I am new to POI. I have to take multiple files as input and write them to an output word file using POI.The input files may be word files, jpg or or any other image files and excel sheets also.
Is this possible using POI?Is there any example source code available?
I had another concern .I have downloaded the poi-bin-2.5.1-final-20040804 jar.
This does not contain any api for hwpf.Where can i find hwpf api?HWPF is not included in the standard jar that you will download from the Apache Organisations site. Instead, you need to visit what they tern the scratchpad area - from where the developers grab source to work on - and download HWPF from there. You will have to compile it yourself as well I believe. There is some good news however, I cannot remember the address of the site but I did find a web page with links to pre-built jar's of this area, just have a search with google.
From my own experiences, I would also reccommend that you look to using JExcel to manipulate Excel worksheets. It does not have the same sort of support for evaluating formulae as HSSF does but it does other things better IMO; little things like exposing the formatting applied to the cell. -

My acer Aspire V7-481P touchscreen stopped working. I can no longer find the pen and touch settings on my computer, please help, I have tried to download all the drivers on the acer website and it is still not working. The touchscreen previously worked before
but unexpectedly stopped.touchscreen don't need driver
go to device manager, find Human Interface Device, find HID-compliant touchscreen (maybe under USB input device), try to enable it, click yes and restart PC
If not solved, try to perfrom system restore (back to condition when this PC working fine)

My iPhone 4 will not sync my new voice memos from the "Voice Memos" app to my computer. This is frustrating, should not be so hard, can someone please help. I use PC with windows 7 with iPhone version 6.1.3 and iTunes most recent. Thanks.
In the Music tab of iTunes, do you have 'Include Voice Memos' checked?

If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

Please help needed os x lion I wish to transfer photos from the iPhoto library to a album or folder then delete them from the Library but when I do this it also deletes them from the album ? how do I do this please.
Albums are not places to store photos, they're more like "labels" you can apply to photos to better organize them. A single image file can be in multiple albums... they are not copies, it's simply been labelled as being in all those albums. So what you're trying to do doesn't make sense, because it's based on incorrect assumptions.
The iPhoto library will always show all photos that you have added to iPhoto. -

Not true. The music and pic sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
You really should transfer everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your computer. Since you do not have access to the old computer, then use your backup copy of the old computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you would have to transfer itunes purchased as described earlier. Any other itunes content would be lost.
You can e-mail photo library pics to yourself, but they will not be of the original quality.
Before syncing, enter at least one unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. When you first sync, then you should get the option to merge the data.
