ICE flashes on, then disappears, leaving only the website

I've been using Incontext Editing on a site for around 4 mos. All of a sudden, the people who I've set up with editing or publishing (as well as my account) can't access Incontext Editing. I've tried the following:
Changing their permissions from editor to publisher, and back
revoking their ability to make edits and then reinstating
pulling the site off of ICE, then setting it back up again
Here is what happens - If I, for instance, revoke and then reinstate one of my editors, they'll be able to log in, and make changes. BUT, later on that day, they lose capabilities. They'll log in, be asked for their password, and the incontext editing frame will appear around the website. But only briefly. Then it disappears and reverts to the regular website with out ICE editing controls.
It's there, and then just as quickly as it appears, it disappears.
Does anyone have any ideas? Nothing on the site has changed dramatically, so I'm stumped.

I'm having the same problem with http://www.indigo-healingarts.com.
The same behavior happens for me and my clients.
This is happening only for the one InContext Editing sites, although I have 6 others.

If they log into incontextediting.adobe.com and navigate to the site through their site list, we have the same problem.

Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 6* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

I have multiple libraries on an external drive. Somehow all the iTunes library files i.e. iTunes Library.itl, xml, itdb, Media folder, etc disappeared! Only the music files remain. Now when I start iTunes w/option it can't find any of the old libraries!

Help! I 'm using an old G4 powerbook, Mac OSX 10.5.8, iTunes ver 10. I have multiple iTunes libraries on an external drive. Everything was fine for a while, then all of the iTunes library files, i.e. iTunes Library.itl, xml, itdb, artwork folder, Media folder, etc mysteriously disappeared! Only the music files remain (thank god) So now when I start iTunes w/option key to choose a library, I can't choose any of them because iTunes won't recognize them. Because all the library stuff is missing. So can I re-create the library files? (I don't care if I lose my ratings)
Or should I create a new empty library on the external drive, then manually move all the music files to the Media folder in the new library?
I tried some stupid ideas like creating a new library just to start iTunes, then going into prefs and advanced, then under iTunes Media folder location, selecting the location of the old library on the external, to see if iTunes would then find all the music which is still there, but no workee.
I'm out of ideas, and I searched the archives.
Help! anyone?

mount the external
point iTunes media folder location back to the external via preferences > advanced
consolidate my library via file > library > organize library
The ntfs hasn't seem to be causing any problems, but I've always wanted to know.
in order for your Mac to write to NTFS drives, it needs some help by installing e.g. the NTFS 3G driver. apparently that or something similar is installed on your Mac already. preferably, it would be formatted for Mac but then windows machines would need to have e.g. MacDrive installed to recognize the drive.

Can't open documents - File select screen just flashes and then disappears

In Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Standard - When I open Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. and then try to open a document from one of these programs, the screen where you would select the file to open just flashes and then disappears. This locks me out of the program because it is waiting for a response from me - I can't even exit the program. I have to go to the Task List and close the program from there. This is a new issue - Have had Creative Suite for a while. Does not happen in Word, Excel, etc. I have already tried removing and reinstalling the software - No change. I have minimized all other windows - Still cannot access the file selection screen.

If you have an LCD monitor, make sure it is running at its maximum resolution. After the dialog disappears, try pressing Alt + Spacebar, then M and see if you can find it on the edge of the screen and move it in by pressing arrow keys, press one a few times, then the opposite to bring it back if it didn't show up.

My Gmail Inbox flashes up on the screen for about half a second and then disappears, leaving a blank screen with 'Done' at bottom left.

I can log in to Gmail as usual, but when it loads I get a very brief sight of my Inbox which then disappears. Sometimes it will load properly if I hit the Back button, but not always. I can load Gmail fine with IE. I have tried deleting cookies and cache, and run a full virus scan, with no luck. I have had this problem now for several days.

One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.

Many of my photos appear briefly as I scroll down the page then disappear leaving a box outlined with a broken-line. The menu bar says that I have 300 pictures hidden, but I am unable to get them unhidden.

I am experiencing difficulty with iPhoto '11. Some of more recent photos can not be accessed. As I scroll down the page of photos, the most recent ones appear briefly, then disappear to be replaced with a box outlined by a broken-line. The menu bar says that I have 317 photos hidden. Hiding photos is not something that I normally do, can't imagine why these are hidden. Anyway, when I try to unhide the photos, I can view them as an event, but if I click on a single photo, or try to move it into an album, the photo does not display. Instead I get a dark exclamation point within a triangle. Another problem with these same photos is on the event page there is no key photo for these events only a dark screen. I can't find an answer to my problem. Has anyone experienced this? What is the problem and how can I correct it?

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Captivate 6 does not launch - flashes briefly then disappears

I just installed the subscription version of Captiavte 6. When I try to launch the app, the screen briefly flashes for a second or two, and then disappears. The app itself does not launch.
I am on Windows 7, 64 bit. I have a prior version of Captiavte 5.5 (which for various reasons I have not uninstalled yet). Help!

You can have any number of Captivate major versions installed on your PC and they don't usually interfere with one another. (I happen to have versions 3, 4, 5.0, 5.5, 6.1 on my laptop.)
Are you launching Cp6 using Run As Administrator?
If you had previously installed a trial version of Cp6, did you delete the Preferences folder before upgrading or installing 6.1? If not, then do so.
Sometimes Captivate crashes due to corrupted fonts. The usual debug process is to go to your Windows > Fonts folder and cut/paste all non-default fonts out to another folder so that you can check if this is in fact the issue. If Captivate then launches successfully, you start re-installing fonts until you find the one/s responsible for the crash.

TS5174 We have iPhotos in a shared folder. When my partner tries to view some photos(not all) they flash open, then disappear. This doesn't happen when I log in and open them. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks.

We have iPhotos in a shared folder so both my pertner and I can access the pictures.
Recently, when my partner tries to open some of the more recent pictures, they open briefly, then disappear. This doesn't happen with all of them, and there doesn't seem to be any link between those that do, and those that don't.
When I try to open them, they open with no problem, and remain open until I close them.
Has anyone any solutions, please?

A shared folder is not sufficient to share an iPhoto library. When you open the library from your account, the ownership and permissions of library items changes.
The safest way to share a library is to put it onto a separate disk or disk partition with the "Ignore Ownership on this volume" flag set. See this document on how to achieve this:

After sync, the I tunes store appears on teh right side and then disappears, leaving the page blank and me unable to access.

After syncing my I Pod, I cannot access the Store. It appears to download for a momoent and then it disappears.

I am unable to install acrobat pro on my windows 8.1 PC. I have disabled the fire wall and this makes no difference. The install commences, the install screen flashes up then disappears...

I have also disabled the anti virus software (ESET)...

Does the installation throws any exception error or any error code?
I would recommend you to use Acrobat Cleaner tool on your system( Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs) and try installing acrobat using this Link : https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html

My Macbook Air sound gets fuzzy then disappears, what is the problem?

Just earlier today, I had no problem listening to music and watching Netflix. Now, whether it's my main sound or headphones, the sound works perfectly normal for a few moments, then starts crackling and getting fuzzy, then completely disappears. If I'm watching a YouTube video or listening to 8tracks, it stops loading what is playing. Even iTunes does the same thing. What is happening? How can I fix this?

Clean the lens. You can try a microfiber cloth wrapped around a credit card and carefully inserting it a few times. If that doesn't work, a cleaning DVD probably will.

HP-p6 upgraded to windows 8.1 - now all items in My documents disappeared leaving only Documents

My computer automatically upgraded to Windows 8.1 (I think) and it now looks different with the Window button on the bottom left instead of the button to take you back to the old desktop screen. However when I went to open a Word document I could not locate My documents / My Pictures etc but instead there is only Documents and Pictures under this PC. How do I locate all of my documents/images et cetera as they were saved under My Documents and not Documents.

hi how do I have 2 different libaries in ITunes for 2 ipod touches when we open i tunes it will show either Jessica - Ipod or Paul i-pod depending on which one is plugged in but the libary only shows songs from Paul which is the most recent bought on the 28.7.11 . Even when Jessica is plugged in the deivce says Jessica but only Paul's libary shows up !

I own the movies and I want them to stay in my iTunes library basically forever.
But in both cases the file name no longer shows in the movie list, so I don't know how to re-download it from the Cloud.
iTunes prefs > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
This will show all your iTunes purchases in your library with a cloud icon down arrow. Click the icon to redownload or click on Play to stream without downloading.

and techncially, you don't "own" the movie, You simply have a license to use it.
Yet the first thing iTunes does when you hit the delete key is tell you that it will remove the movie forever from all devices and the library.

FYI: You should keep copies of all yoru iTnue spurahses as the labels/movie studios/copyright owners can pull their product at anytime and it won't be available to redownload.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
