Seit dem letzten Systemupdate wird meine externe Festplatte nicht mehr erkannt. Auf anderen Rechnern der Marke Windows wird die Platte erkannt und lässt sich bedienen.

it has been a while since we have last spoke, I would like to let you know, I am still working on getting used to the switch from windows to a Mac/Apple system. I do have a new question for you, I did purchase In Design CS5.5 through journeyed.com through Cuyahoga Community College of which I attend as a student, is there a way to purchase an online book through iTunes to learn that as well? Also, you know me, the struggling student, I would also, when and if the book can be purchased through the iTunes, would need to know if you do know of a much easier book for struggling students like myself and at a reasonable price as well for the In Design CS5.5 program. Our campus bookstore had closed early, and, so did the colleges library and our local library here where I do live, so, I cannot go to either place to purchase a book or to take out a book, plus cash funds are low at this moment as well but, I do have money left on the iTunes account to use, if it can be used. So, can it be used, the iTunes money, towards finding a low priced online book? I am in great need of assistance as I have a project due for my one course for this Tuesday, September 4, 2012.

Display of mac book pro retina 13 inch
On august 13th i purchased a mac book pro retina 13.3. It worked good for 3 months and then in November my display stopped working and gave it to apple service center in my college and after 3 days then gave me back saying it was some troubleshooting problem so they disconnected and then reconnected the display.
Now on 3rd January i had some flickering on my screen i restarted it but it nothing helped .Next day what i see is a big black dot on my screen with some horizontal and vertical lines.
straight away i took it to the store and the person there asks me 440 dollars as he thinks its a physical damage.
I mean without a scratch on any part of the laptop,without a crack on a screen or the body how can the display inside the glass screen can be damaged?
Is this the quality of the products ?
i get an answer from the person at apple store that even i dust particle gets stuck while closing the mac book can cause this problem.
Moreover there are no records of the service they did on my mac book in November and now after calling them they say that it will be updated today.
So if the quality so bad of the display that just by opening and closing the mac book the display got damaged?
I really want to know a person whom i can write this problem to?Thanks again Ugh,
but I believe the update didnt fix the problem. I tried to do SMC reset several times but the system still hunguing everytime I connect the adapter.
Any other tips?

Usb not recognized when windows7 installed on mac book pro retina

I am trying to install windows 7 to mac book pro - retina display with mavericks.
I managed to come to the point where windows installed and starts and I need to install the boot camp on the windows. I am having problems at this stage. Windows does not recognize the usb drives and i cant install the boot camp or connect to the internet, nothing. I restarted the machine several times but still no luck.
When i open it in mac, i can access the usb drive. When switched back to windows there is no usb.
Can someone please advise?The USB thumb drive itself is either USB 2 or 3. It's a hardware thing. Not sure how to tell what type it is through a computer, but some usually the packaging indicates which it is. Sometimes the drive itself will have it written on it somewhere. You will need to delete the bootcamp partition in OSX using the bootcamp assistant and redo the entire process using a USB 2 thumb drive. After that the process worked as indicated in the boot camp instructions. The bootcamp drivers were automatically installed after windows rebooted itself.
I am not 100% sure that this was the issue, but when I went from using a thumb that I knew was usb 3 to one that I was sure was not, it all of a sudden worked. It could have also been that it just did not like the usb 3 drive I tried to use the first few times as it was a generic drive from Microcenter. -
What is wrong with my 2 month old Mac book pro retina?
I bought a new 13 inch Mac book pro Retina at the end of May 2013. I have been to the apple store and called apple care several times. Now things are very bad. It would crash and give me a white screen every so often but over the last week things have gotten very bad. It will crash with the white screen, browsers and applications all close unexpectedly - it started with firefox then safari, then mail then face book, then adobe and finally iphoto and picassa. I did send in the reports. Also if I had a picture in i-photo my picassa program is set up to grab all pictures - recently any pictures that have been grabbed it says the files are corrupted. I keep having trouble with the air port utility in that it can't find the wireless network and or the time capsuel even though it can be wireless or plugged in by ethernet. I called apple care and got this very nice tech guy and he tried many different fixes and said he thought the hard drive would need to be replaced so got an appointment to take my computer in. They ran two tests and said everything is fine with the computer it must be the software. So now I'm supposed to get apple care to help me try and save all my data on flash drives! Can't back it up on time capsuel cause he said it would just back up the problem. So this seems overwhelming and I'm so upset. Well, then I thought about it and my old mac book in which all the data and software was transferred from hasn't been erased as I was having so many issues I hadn't done that yet. So my question is if it was the software, wouldn't it be making my older mac book do the same thing? What is wrong with my New Computer? As of tonight, I can't even open anything it gives a quick flash of trying to open and closes so the computer is totally useless - so no idea how to get the data off that is most recent. Apple says they cannot help cause it is a software program but now I have a 2 month old computer whish is useless. Any thoughts?

You have 3 months of care and up to 3 years with paid AppleCare, let them handle it and bring everything in.

CS6 resolution on Mac Book Pro Retina Display
The resolution for all CS6 programs on mac book pro retina is horrific. Will there be updates?! I am quite frustrated that I can barely see any of my type in Indesign.
InDesign has yet not came up with the retina display support update but yes we are going to have the support of retina display for most of the products eventually.

Really slow rendering on Mac Book Pro Retina
Hi
I am using adobe premiere on a mac book pro retina and the renders are reallyyy reallyyy slow. Usually takes 30 mins for a 2 mins timeline to render.
Iv also tried rendering the same timeline on a windows machine and it takes 5 mins ( 1/6th ) for the same render.
Please provide me a solution ASAP since its eating my production time.

I came from Windows land and have used Premiere since '97..

I generally work with DSLR footage, H264 codec and .wav files.
Imports and scrubbing is great, applying effects starts it slowing down and I'll adjust playback to 1/2 or 1/4 resolution.
And that's just on one layer of video..
Now, when it comes to exporting in general, a 50 second clip takes over 30 minutes to render.
Very frustrating..
I mainly export using the existing presets for YoutubeHD and VimeoHD.
Can't get my head around why it takes so long and I am hoping that perhaps a re-install or a fundamental preference setting will solve it.
In my preferences, I've allocated 11GB of memory to Adobe Production Suite applications and I rarely run 2 at a time.
Scratch disks are set to project folders, on a 4GB RAID1 drive connected via Thunderbolt protocol
Tech specs :
Processor - 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory - 16GB 1600Mhz DDR3
Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
Storage - SSD 500GB

I just bought a 2013 late model Mac Book Pro Retina and am wondering if it is worth installing windows through boot camp.
If I install the windows component in order to run an exe file and its component "Declans Korean Flash Cards"... will it make my mac suseptible to viruses overall due to having a windows component? also will it make my mac slower as wellIf you are only going to use one or two window only programs then I wouldn't waste the space. Try WinonX it allows you to install exe. Files on Mac without installing windows.

How can I Upload Pictures, from my Mac Book Pro Retina Display with Mountain Lion OS? Tried but it gets as far as i pictures but does not open?
This is not necessarily 100% correct at the current time.
As Dropbox is encouraging people to set it up for automatic uploading of photos they gradually increment your space as you load more pictures for free at the current time.
You do start with a fixed 2 GB but if you upload photos you will be awarded more free space.
You can also open a free account with Flickr - you may have some upload limits per day but you can upload pictures there. -

I have a new Mac Book Pro Retinal. Should I leave the charger connected while I am at my desk or should I disconnect the charger and all the battery to full cycle?
I leave mine plugged in when at a desk most of the time.
The battery will slowly discharge from 100% to 95% even on wall power, then recharge to 100% ... to save usage of the recharge circuits.
At least once a month I use it on battery and let the battery run down to about 40%.
DO NOT run to "dead" ... that will shorten battery life.
BTW: My battery currently (after 1 year) can still hold 101% of factory-designed charge.
